I’ve owned my VZ for 3 months now , best setting is individual mode under profile , turn off pumped sound , everything else on boost , and hang on for dear life 😂
I get my VZ2 310 Formentor in three days, really excited about it as I've watched so many positive Formentor videos on here, just one thing, I don't recommend that colour, it's a £2k+ option and looks great in the show room but it's a bugger to keep clean, it comes with special washing instructions, I've gone for magnetic grey, black leather and a panoramic roof.
I’ve had my VZ2 in the same colour since June last year , love it , I also opted for the Pan roof as well , not many out there with this option, had to wait for 5 months for mine though
Nice! They are such a great car. Love that people are not sure what it is 🤣 nice having something a little different. Thanks for the comment, love seeing that my videos reach Australia! Crazy 😜
Great video Joe, I’ve had a Formentor VZ2 310 on order since June this year- it’s hopefully being delivered in January now after a few production delays, this video reminded me of how good the car is!
@@SamwalthamYT Hi Sam, it’s going well. Almost 2 thousand miles in & apart from the very occasional software glitch (‘loading settings’ page on the infotainment screen froze maybe twice which needed a quick hold to reboot). It a great looking car, seats are awesome & the performance is good. Turn off that OTT faux noise through the speakers in Cupra mode & you’re good to go! 🤣 The car is unique in the sense you still don’t see to many of them on the road so turns a few heads 👍🏻
Nice vid pal. I've got a VZ2 310 is magnetic grey. Had it since march 2021. Overall I've really enjoyed having it. A few buggy glitches with the infotainment and because everything runs through it when it does glitch sometimes it can leave you a bit stranded etc like air conditioning locking up on a setting and you can't do anything about it unless you stop, turn car off back on etc ( not great if you're on motorway etc), thankfully it doesn't happen too often and when it does I just put it into cupra mode drop a couple of gears and all is forgotten. I find it really comes alive in the first couple of gears. When you drop it into second doing 30-35 it has such a kick when you put your foot down. It likes being between 3-4k rev range and when you're in it you can pretty much give anything on the road a run for it's money etc. Launches really well too, pins you into your seat and gathers up to 60 very quickly. I used to chuck it around tight bends when I first got it and it is quite amazing how well it sticks. A bit less so now that tyres have had a bit of wear in them, may need to invest in some more to have that full confidence. Like you say though for an all rounder £ for £ and with the spec you get I can't think of another car that gives you the performance and every day convenience. It's perfect for my young family and perfect for me when I'm on my own too.
Thanks for the comment! Great to hear you a loving the car! They are truly brilliant and would love to add one to the garage. I prefer the way it looks and drive over a golf R and it’s nice to have something different I guess.
I think I was in the first group to take delivery in the UK. Took me a couple of months to see another on the road and the looks that you got/ get, it is definitely a head turner. I like to go for the less obvious choice and that is what this was initially, now you start to see a lot more on the road, I love the presence it has even though it isn't a massive car and the way it stands out from the crowd of normal/ safe options. Like I say you do see a lot more on the road now but they all seem to be hybrid models, still quite rare to come across a 310hp model on your daily commute with those give away quad exhausts. A colleague of mine has purchased one but it's the v1 hybrid version. They have to look at my vz2 310hp model every day in the car park! Ha
Order a vz2 in June and originally told November for collection, then recieved the dreaded delayed until March 2023 message. Just kept on at the dealership and now my car is due in next week. They told me it was due to pan roof and the electronices involved. My advice would be to hound them.
I've had my Formentor VZ2 since Jan 2020, unfortunately it's only leased and it has to go back in January. Its been absolutely brilliant and i really dont want to give it back to Cupra lol
what do you think about the cupra leather seats, it seems that they're pretty worn-out after 20k km (saying from seen advertisements) meanwhile volvo with almost 300k km (own experience) is in better shape thanks for answering my question 🙏
So I only had the car for a day. I have to say the leather was nice, very soft and felt somewhat near what I have in my Porsche Cayman, all I can say is that is wearing well 16 years on so if this is half as good it will be just fine.
I looked at one 4 days ago lovely car but I hated the infotainment system so much so I'm not buying it but great everywhere else such a shame but dangerous to use while driving

£2k that’s mental!!! Yeah it looked good that day but I had a full team of Valeters on hand 🤣

Just got a vz3 with pan roof same colour , as long as you can take care of it with good products maybe a ppf you'll be fine
@@danielh2174 Congratulations, welcome to the tribe, expect the unexpected as the infotainment system is a beetch but it's still a wonderful car.
Great vid, we've had our VZ2 310 nearly a year, it's just such an awesome piece of kit and I'm so happy to have it!
Thank you! genuinely surprised me, these sort of cars are not what i tend to go for but this got me. I wanted to keep it.
GREAT REVIEW! You’re a man that talks sense and you have superb insight into cars. I have subscribed! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you!! Really appreciate that!
Hi from Australia. Great video. Got the launch edition of the VZx 3 weeks ago & absolutely love it! 😊

Aww shame it’s been delayed, worth the wait tho! Gorgeous cars, as good if not better then a Macan but half the price.
Great review! Just ordered the VZ2 310 bhp Forementor that should be delivered in the new year, can’t wait!
Bet you can’t wait! It will be worth it! Love the Formentor. Have you got a delivery date yet?
@@JoeTalksCars We find out on Monday but def within the next 2 weeks. Absolutely buzzing!
@@ryanpacker1115 Hey Ryan, I'm also looking at getting a VZ2 and wondered how you're finding yours so far? Cheers!

Shame!! Will you get another! Cupra are doing amazing things at the moment. If you can take a look at the Ateca.

What mpg would i get if i do mostly sensible motorway miles??
Not sure but from other cars with the same engine and gearbox I’ve seen 45mph without issue.
@@JoeTalksCars so the 310bhp can get 45mpg?? Wow. Driven sensibly, obviously
I looked at one 4 days ago lovely car but I hated the infotainment system so much so I'm not buying it but great everywhere else such a shame but dangerous to use while driving
Yeah it’s off putting. I did get used to it slowly throughout the day. Just isn’t a great system.
I hate the fake sound coming from the speakers
Yeah I just don’t understand why they do it. Guessing it just makes the cars feel sporty. I mean it added something to the drive.
First!
To what? 🤣

Omg that’s crazy! Assuming they are waiting on parts. It will be worth the wait!!
