The only reason why Lorenzo Cain doesn't have more than one Gold Glove is because Rawlings changed to a positional thing in 2011 rather than the three best OF so guess who else played CF in the AL during LoCain's peak? If he had played RF during his time in KC he probably would have had a couple more. The best defensive LF in the AL during that time was his teammate, Alex Gordon. As always 75% of the Earth is covered in water and the rest is covered by Lorenzo Cain.
@@connormartin1618i think he’s talking about Kiermaier. Since LoCain’s peak was 2014-2015. Before him it was Adam Jones in CF for Baltimore. But I’m not sure
@@kristopherwilson506 I guess so but Kiermaier only won two while Cain was still in the AL. It's not like he was single handedly blocking Cain for his whole career
@@connormartin1618As a KC fan who fondly remembers those years, I believe Lo Cain was also hindered by his utility since he ended up splitting time between center and right over some of those years and the gold glove has an innings requirement to be eligible at a specific position.
same. The team wasn't great, but if the Braves could get thru the 6th with the lead, the opposition had either Moylan, O'Flaherty, Venters, Kimbrel, or Wagner to face over the span of about 3-4 seasons. NOT fun.
Moylan was a reliever for 12 seasons, averaging 68 games per season for 12 years and has 4 career saves. I know he wasn’t a closer but when u pitch 500 games in relief u would think he’d have more than that accidentally lol. Solid career. Relievers get ZERO WAR love
When u look at his numbers, Lo-Cain was literally only valuable with the glove. Hit just enough but he lasted over 10 years simply cuz he could go get it. You thought he was a little more productive offensively, me too, but he wasn’t. His glove did the talking. Dude literally almost won an MVP by hitting slightly better than average. That’s how good his defense was
All these kids were stumped by Bob Wickman, me the old head Braves fan called that right away. Braves fans don't like Bob Wickman that much. He was good in 06 but he was tanking hard in 07.
@@TheForeverRanger yep, took me a second and I’m a reds fan (usually get perfect on these but the mid 90’s give me trouble, I don’t miss from 2012 onward tho.)
As an Australian, I have to say...all of Dan's attempts at an Aussie accent were rubbish. Only non Australian I ever saw do a proper Australian accent was Robin Williams. Everyone else's is no good.
As a Lifelong Cleveland fan, The "hard" this weak left me limp. My 2 favorites on those 01-06 Cleveland teams were Hafner and Wickman. Wickman was legit, it's just too bad he was on 4 bad Cleveland teams (02-04 and 06). If he was on the 96-01 or on the 13-19 teams he could have had a run similar to Clase right now. Him being on those teams easily cost him 80-100 career saves. And yes, the injuries to him those years didn't help things on both fronts either
Peter's disappointment on receiveing his prize is tragic.

Canobbio's initial Aussie attempts sounded like Larry David's Steinbrenner.
Lol

So who was getting the GG over Cain? I looked at the results and it was just different guys almost every year

Bob Wickman brought to you by MVP baseball 04/05.
Whiffed on Lowe tho
Lol that’s the exact reason why I got it too 🤝
Pulling Bob Wickman was my proudest one I've ever got in this game
Is that the former closer from the Cleveland Guardians and Braves?
same! I called him John Wick at first on accident but I got there after a minute lol
yes@@nickfb92
as a baseball zoomer im a bit embarrassed to admit i primarily know him from a foolish baseball joke lol
same, bro
So you're the reason I have to listen to John Smoltz do color commentary on the Bally Sports South broadcast?
Give us Peter back!
Lmao so true 😂
Go look at Peter Moylan’s baseball reference page. His stats were actually really good. Needs more recognition
Peter Moylan is was one of my favorite Braves. Good to see his good sense of humor lol

Do you think that the JM team always includes Yankees guys in the Ref Guess because that’s who their team has a chance to guess, or just to troll us?
little bit of both probably
yes
easy would become hard as the paper if it didn’t
well alot of them are yankee fans and it was built around talkin yanks originally, sooooooo yes
'You got my handshake.' Ouch! Love it.
Big Bob Wickman!! I watched/listened to many of those Cleveland era games! Had NO idea he was a Yankee before that.
This was tough for me. Only got Lowe. Never even heard of the hard.
Let’s go! Derek Lowe Ref guess! He’s one of my favorite pitchers!

D-Lowe lead the league in saves and then 2 seasons later he has a 2.5 era starts over 30 games and probably should’ve won the Cy Young award
Bob Wickman was a damn good pltcher!
7:45 Oh no
Super sick Jersey from dalton today

I knew Lowe, Wickman & the final Q! I feel more accomplished than I ever have.
Dan Canobio nailed Peter’s accent
Bob Wickman is a name I've heard but never a name I'd think of. Impressive pulls
"What do I get?" Somebody buy the man a milkshake
Been looking at Bob Wickman's page because of immaculate grid. Knew it in like ten seconds lol
Impressive stuff Jake
Got Bob Wickman immediately since he went to my high school
I cant believe i guessed the hard one.
and thats why jake and jimmy are in charge... well not jimmy so much but ya
Bob Wickman: easiest to get hard. Never forget him sweating as much as the fans he stressed out for every save
I was going Wickman no Wholers no Wickman……wait Mark Wohlers no it’s Wickman
I just want Peter to spill Braves stories
As a DBacks fan as far back as 2005, that Bob Wickman was the most fucking hard hard on this channel
Roberto Clemente award winners for next Refguess
Never heard of Wickman before
Never heard of the hard. First time I've never even heard of the player lmao.
Got all 3 but only 2/3 of the trivia (Wagner/Kimbrel)
Derek Lowe Chad innings eater my god
Hard really got me today. Up to my 5th name I didn’t know since this started and I’m upset
Shout out to BobWickman'sbeergut, you are missed.
Max is such a tough watch. He’s a nerd who tries to not be a nerd but if you just act like a nerd it’s fine no one cares we still love you
I have zero memory of Bill Wagner on the braves. 🤯

Screw trev. Need more Petuh!
how does jake know
it was just an emotional support jimmy. I think thats fine
Wow. He was NOT happy with that prize.
'You just got my handshake' was fantastic and quick!
Only got Cain.
That was way too easy. Now granted I am a Royals fan but come on.
