If you are trying to make a business out of Sports Trading Cards, or Gaming Trading Cards. You are better off just investing into singles. Buy low and sell high of course. You can try buying singles at 20% - 30% below market value, and then resell the cards for profit ( At Market Value ). Now you can gamble by opening sealed boxes, but that is like playing the lotto... yes you can it big, but you can also lose everything. I remember buying a pack of Topps cards for $50 with one autograph per pack, the auto I got was wroth $5. I was soooo mad! Of course it's always up to you! Have fun and enjoy the Hobby!
I bought a box of 1992 Marvel Masterpieces 3 or so years ago. I was super worried about the bricking because it's prevalent. I did the cold temp experiment, but in my garage for two days. When I opened them they absolutely were still bricked, but probably 70% of them released without paper loss. I sent a dozen of them off for grading and got several PSA 10s (Hulk, Thanos, etc.). Numerous 9s too, but I think that's PSA being nutty with forensics on a card vs paper damage I caused. Just sold a lot of 6 of them on eBay to the UK like 2 weeks ago as a matter of fact.
I use the same third box method. The rule of 3. Pro debut, third box down, third row opened, third pack down had a triple auto of Skenes/ Crews/ Langford.

Parker Medows.... Keep up the break point videos. There is another thing to consider with opening boxes like that is getting some of the not so profitable cards graded. Yes additional cost but picking the right cards to grade could pay back the cost of grading as well as the cost of the box.
The collecting of cards when I was a kid was fun running to the store and buying packs. With everything being expensive at the moment kids can't buy them. Went to a card story and my grandson was shocked on how much cards are. I bought him a box of Topps 2024 so he can enjoy them. I got in trouble because they were expensive but I had a couple dollars I saved in case for something. The hobby is expensive if you want to collect those good cards.
We used to play pickleball in high school too in the mid to late 80s. In the early 80s when I was in elementary school we got a pickleball net and paddles, and set it up in our driveway. And in the 70s my grandparents used to play with the inventor of pickleball here in the Seattle area. My 94 year old grandma still plays and wins national tournaments playing with people 20 years younger.
