@@RebeccaZungEsq My best BOMB for gaslighters lies, "What would you have to add to make what I said true?"; " i dunno" ; "That's because there is nothing you would have to add to make what I said true!"

My favorite phrase is "let's agree to disagree." That made sooo much sense to me but it truly made my former narcissists so-called friend lose her mind.

“I agree with you that that’s what you think,” is my all time fave! It’s a real head-scratcher! They won’t know whether you’re agreeing with them or not.

I think it boils down to narcissists having to feel like they're in control of everything and everyone.
It's almost like each moment is spent thinking about how to achieve full power and control.
    Sad really.

They confuse opinions with facts. Opinion is the way someone sees something, and facts is both sides of a story. Judgement is to make an informed decision. To be informed, you need information of which you need facts. Their judgement comes from their opinions.

Try repeating the "that may be, but..." line by Dan O'Connor.
"Hmnh - you need this now? You do? Ooh. Uhm. That is not going to work for me, but I can do Wednesday between 2 - 3 or Tuesday at 7. Either of those work for you?"
Or - "gotta jet. Deadline in 7. Cheers!"
7 minites? 7 days? Months? Years? Project? Presentation? Yes. You have a project to avoid presentations including conversations with this difficult person. And it's due like now. So we gotta go.
Who cares. Not them. Bet your bottom dollar. Slink out safely. *Wink*
Save your self, your sanity. You are worth it! I guarantee.
