Me too! I've always disliked how humans nowadays mock old people or aging in general. When our elders are the wisest humans who have gone through so much in their lives. I respect them so much.. I believe those that reach old age are lucky to live a long life instead of dying "young".
He seems incredibly wise. I would give a lot to talk to him too; even though I'm 0% percent Native American. People who keep the old ways of any culture are to be admired.
This man talks about people seeking someone to put a hex out of jealousy. My great grandfather ran his own business on a Navajo reserve in Arizona. He was a kind man, who loved his family. But soon that changed, he became ill, an alcoholic and cheated on his wife. My family sought out a medicine man from the mountain (as cliche as this sounds) and brought him to our home. He preformed a ceremony with us, and asked us to drive him somewhere. We drove on an empty road heading towards Gallup, when he told us to pull over. The man walked about a mile or so and began to dig. Eventually he dug up a small velvet bag, and in it, an arrow head, and the hairs of all of my family members. He sent the arrow head back to the direction it came. He told us that my great grandfather would get better, but the one who sent the arrow head would become ill and pass if he did not forgive them. This happened when I was very small, and to this day I never found out if he forgave them.
Charmayne Elliott aaaaah wow!! Any way you can do some investigating & find out?? That’s a fascinating story & would love to know....I hope he did, forgive em that is....
This doesn't just happen with the Native Americans. Things like this occur with people in Africa, Latin America, New Orleans, and the Caribbean islands. Evil is everywhere.
If you want real american history or history of the world look to the indigenous people they know the truth. Trusting what is put in textbooks and not finding facts to back up the bs makes us all dumb. The masses want us dumb for control. Gotta respect the elders and the old ways
Debatable. You lose your culture and identity at the price of progress. My people are Germanic. We were wiped out by the Romans. The Romans civilized us. There is nothing that truly remains of who we were. Now though, we live in the world we do. We lost who we were, but we've gained what we have now.
What he says about his cat hit home. My dog always ‘saw’ things. She woke from a sound sleep beside me on the couch and stared into the dining room for a long time. She then hopped down and stared into the room by the stairs. She was tense, the hair on her neck was up straight. Then she backed up and looked like she was creeping forward. She sat at the bottom of the stairs looking up and started growling. She was a Chihuahua, still a baby at 6 months old. I lit sage.
Yup.. 3 of my friends and I went camping in McCall Idaho and that same night we were having fun in the tent just gossiping and talking about life. As we're still talking my friend closest to the tent wall kept telling us to "shut up" because she heard really weird stuff from her side of the tent so we kept quiet, and all we could hear was the quiet river water flowing down stream. No crickets.. no owls hooting, nothing dead silence. All of a sudden we hear something scratch the surface of the tent and she jumped onto one of us and freaked out so bad. I was mad I didn't have a machete and my dogs outside in cages to bark at it. Idk how we fell asleep so quick but our guard was up.. for what, we'll never really know but it wasn't normal and the atmosphere was very weird.
Also the following day we went on a hike and they had gotten too tired to continue so they decided to rest on some rocks while I went ahead to enjoy the trail. We were pretty deep into the trail too, and I came across an older couple hiking too it was very random. Exchanged advice and how the mountains felt that day. I hiked more ahead and I felt like the trail continued down back to our campsite but I began to hear a wolf howl in the distance when I was taking a selfie. I looked around and I had a really bad vibe.. but nothing to the point where I'd freak out. I jogged back to my friends, but I don't remember if I saw the couple on my way back I think I did.
One tike my mom was talking to my cousin and he said that he was in a Navajo ceremony and he said that he saw a skin walker in the meeting sitting by the door... my cousin can see skin walkers and he has also been cursed because he never knew he had a different dad and he was being sacrificed but he prayed and went to ceremonys and he's doing better he is a pow wow dancer and someone was jealous of his dancing... breaks my heart to because he tried to kill himself because his foot was swollen for months and he is my favorite cousin...thanks you god! I pray for my brothers and sisters❤
My great grandfather was a medicine man. Long long time ago. He passed down a so many stories. He stopped hunting. He says that one time, he went hunting with his old rifle. He was walking down to the creek and a huge grizzly bear stood up in front of him. He fired the rifle. The bullet just grazed the bears head. It walked down to the creek and sat like a man. It scooped up water in its hand like a man and cleaned the wound. He followed it and it hid a giant hollow log...
Umm guy...rifle and shotgun blasts rarely penetrate the skulls of bears. Using his paw to wash away the top of its head isnt exceptional... you can see bears do that. I mean even cats and dogs do that. Nothing in your story points to anything involving a skinwalker.
I wish the interview had ended sooner. Chief Dan was getting more and more nervous , because he's really not supposed to talk about it - especially to outsiders. My grandson's maternal grandparents have been tormented by skinwalkers for years. Sometimes a previous generation does witchcraft and then their descendents end up paying for it.
As a practicing norse pagan, because I live in North America I want to know as much about it as possible to protect myself and my loved one from such things. I understand not talking about it to outsiders at large though because people that don't understand the seriousness or the spiritual side of it can findthselves in a very dangerous position.
@Terry Ulmer not at all. Berserkr and ulfhednar wore animal skins for intimidation in battle and their alleged superhuman abilities didn't come from magic, more accurately from some sort of mind altering substance or trance induced states. Berserkrs and ulfhednar just got thwir name from what they wore rather than trying to become the animal. Skinwalkers are essentially shaman that practice dark magic and use animal skins to BECOME the animal and to become one you must sacrifice someone close to you or that you love dearly.
How do you know they died?? Awwww I just saw a comment of someone asking is the man in the interview still alive now I know third both deceased 🥺 may they both RIP
I was talking to a person from Rome. He asked if I was a Navajo I said, "yes" and he said, "I heard Navajos have skin walkers", I said "yes" And he said "I'm from Rome we have something similar to that like vampires"
n prevalent in certain parts of southeast asia as well, among my folks we have something similar to that, Known as the "Phim nyuj whai." Shape shifting creatures who often disturbs the hunt and mainly takes the form of a very strange humanoid monkey n every now and then, a jungle plains wolf. Very hard to kill, elusive, dangerous when provoked and a trickster of the old. Were often told to stay away from the forest when hunting and an unfamiliar animal call is sounded.a phim nyuj whai may be present.
When I was living in rural missouri, I was doing a long-term camping trip in my back yard. in the first week I had a herd of deer come up to my campsite. they snuffled around and ate some of the soft grass from around my campsite. their leader I had seen a good fifteen miles away at a previous time, but he had a huge rack of antlers, well over 100 points on each antler. After some time he stood up on his hind legs, and then four or five others also did so, and the herd lackadaisically sprinted off into the woods. A night or so later I was awoken by a pack of coyotes sniffing around my campsite. half of them had human-looking front paws, but by now I was keeping my eyes mostly closed and my breathing regular, so it looked like I was still asleep. when those ones left the ones with human-like front paws they left on their hind legs. another night or so later three of them, looking like something monstrous, wandered through my camp. I closed my eyes and ignored them. They made noises unlike anything I have ever heard before, and seemed to be an amalgamation of bears and vultures and other things I could not recognize. they eventually left. I continued to camp there for over two months until a summer storm damaged my tent while I was at school. As I stayed there I felt a greater communion between myself and the land, and I got to the point of being able to sense whenever they would be observing me.
Some times while I had been living there I'd see dark-cloaked figures crossing through my back yard into the deep-woods at night. there was a trail through my yard the next day every time I'd see it. the tracks were faint, but they were definitely there. there were over twenty of them. one time a few days after one of these meetings I went walking through the woods and found a deer carcass on an altar made of piled river-rocks in an oddly-lit clearing. its neck had been broken. they were meeting at a dry creek-bed. I also had a friend whose mother and uncle had died in a "car accident" (though I doubt it was an accident) and was given to his father. his father always smelled faintly of carrion. anyway, my friend originally told me his father had killed his dog in front of him, but then when I went to where he used to live I saw his dog. her tail was missing, she walked with a limp, and when I called her she ran off into the woods on her hind legs. needless to say I didn't tell my mom I'd seen the dog. The next time I saw my friend his father told me "You should stay away from those river-bluffs, or the next time you might slip and fall in." I had told nobody about going over there, or that I had been looking for mushrooms near the old river bluffs my friend and I would climb on, so I was a bit surprised, and asked how my friend's father had known I'd been out there. he just gave me a facial expression halfway between a grin and a snarl, and his jaw started to elongate by a few centimeters. he quickly went outside and wasn't seen for a few hours, though you could hear something killing rabbits throughout the area. he wasn't hungry when he got back. Long story short, I found out that that friend had been systematically destroying every relationship I had been in so that nobody would care if I turned up missing or dead. he was grooming me as a sacrifice so he could become a skinwalker as well.
there was also a fox-woman that habitually tried to kill me on my way to or from school. The first time I actually encountered her I was walking through a patch of blackberry brambles that grew alongside the road. I had some dust blow into my face on the wind and started to get really drowsy, so I stopped walking and picking blackberries, and started to meditate to keep awake. I heard a woman's voice rasp "help me!" directly into my right ear in a weak warble, and saw a clawed and charcoal-furred hand come swiping around from my right for my throat. I jumped forewards up the hill by about three feet, and spun around at the same time, but by the time I was turned around enough to see her all I saw was a reddish grey blur heading into the woods and a wake in the grass along the hillside similar to when someone goes driving past at well over the speed-limit. another couple of times she tried whatever mix of poison powder she had on me, but somehow I was able to push through it, (I blame my family's higher than normal resistance to poisons) so she started to use other affects on me. a few times she amplified the local heat in the area to well over 130 degrees fahrenheit according to my keychain thermometer while I was walking home, and then once she dropped the temperature down to well below 0 degrees fahrenheit according to the mild frostbite I got in less than ten minutes in mid-september (a time when it's rare for the daytime temperatures to get below 75 degrees). I took shelter in a small A-frame fort I'd built out of wood a few years prior after dragging myself up the steep hill on my property on my hands and knees, and it was just the size of a one-man tarp tent by then, so my body-heat was able to heat it up. I'd taken to carrying rocks in my backpack by then, so when she came to peek in through the gaps in the walls I chucked rocks through them. she pulled my coat off of the fort's entrance (I'd taken to carrying my coat with me at all times as well since it provided more protection than most things I'd be wearing at that point in time, and I'd gotten on the bad side of the local white-supremacists, so I was at risk of taking a knife to the back pretty much any time I left the house) as she ran off laughing. There were also many times I'd wake up in the middle of the night to her clawing at my bedroom windows just to mess with me (since my mom insisted on keeping the front door unlocked, so if she wanted in she could have just gone through there) At some point she stopped trying to kill me (though she would still get the occasional scare in) and started to just observe me, so I ended up in the habit of walking up to the top of the drive whenever the moon was bright, sitting by the side of the road, and reading. Sometimes I'd read aloud whenever I felt she was watching me. I eventually got a really good look at her one winter night when I went walking. It was a full moon, I had a copy of Stephen King's Graveyard Shift, my winter coat, and a gunto (a japanese naval saber) that I'd bought in poor condition and rehabbed into a serviceable sword. when I walked by her hollow (the same place she'd always attack me from. I recognized it because there was a tree bowed across the ridges on either side of it) and she walked out from the treeline.) she stood about six or seven feet tall, had fox-shaped feet, was covered in a full coat of fur, had a very _obviously_ feminine figure, was missing half of her middle finger and the tip of her ring finger on her left hand, and was looking at the moon with me. She took a step towards me, and I put my hand on the hilt of my sword. she stopped. she took another step towards me, and I drew the sword. she turned around and went back into the woods in a huff, scornfully flicking her tail at me. There was a girl that lived near that spot, though along the road on the other side of those woods, that had had a crush on me when we'd first met, but had turned cold towards me once her cousin had moved in with her family and joined in with the crowd that was trying to kill me. before that we'd been friends, though one day her brother went missing out in the woods (the guy was an asshole, but we'd gotten along alright). she'd lost those fingers on that hand as an infant when a raccoon had bitten them off. In retrospect she was likely being coerced into killing me by her family, and had likely been forced to sacrifice her brother to have the power to do so. honestly all that shit she did looks like some twisted form of flirting in retrospect... I guess I can chalk her up under the "crazies attracted to me" group alongside the guy that wanted to sacrifice me to become a skinwalker, as well as most of the others that found me attractive...
Anyway, I was in highschool by then, and I'd told a friend of mine about seeing her, so when he came over to go camping with me in my back yard he (of course) wanted to go look for any evidence of her. whenever I go into the woods I'm careful to follow the natural trails as best as I can and be respectful, but my friend is a bit more boisterous and will smash a trail through wherever he wants to go. we'd been wandering around in the woods where I'd seen her prior when I got the sense that she was watching, so I redoubled my attempts to tell him to be less destructive because she was watching us and he was kinda wrecking her shit. he did slow down a bit, but he still pulled some stupid stuff. It was then that I realized how much more in-tune with nature I had become since I seemed to have the blessing of those that watched over the lands I lived on. when we went to go camping for the night in a clearing ringed with cedars (though I had no clue about their use as skinwalker repellent) I'd told him about the last time I'd gone camping in my yard a few years prior, then we talked about girls for a bit and went to sleep, or rather he did, but I still felt like we were being watched. about a half an hour after my friend had gone to sleep he was woken up by a shrill shriek in the woods not twenty yards away from us (these were the deer king's territory) and the sound of something large moving through the trees. the shrieks would go from an animal's growl to a screaming woman and back... and then my blood ran cold. she started screaming "help me!" in the same voice I'd heard back all those years before. my friend wanted to go out and be a hero, but I warned him that she was just trying to lure him out. he then wanted to run back to the house, but I knew that retreating would be more foolish than advancing at that point. I told him plainly that she was faster and stronger than him and that if he tried when she was expecting it she'd just likely gut him where he stood. I then heard a second thing running through the trees with, no, after her, though my friend didn't seem to notice the difference. By the sounds of things and the state the tree-line was in the next day The Deer King had come to chase her off his territory. She started shouting help me and cackling derisively while he chased her, and they bellowed and howled at each-other until about four in the morning, when she ran by our tent (scraping against it to make the material rasp loudly) back to her territory. the deer king came up to the side of the tent, walked around it muttering, and then went back into the woods. The next day my friend and I had gone out to where they had been fighting and there was what looked to be a fighting ring made of cedars with two paths made through the cedars with pine needles, and then the clearing in the center had had pine needles layered in it a few inches thick even though the nearest pine-tree was nearly half a mile away. There were chunks of fur and blood splattered around the ring, and there were hoof and paw prints wherever something had impacted hard enough to penetrate the pine needles. It was roughly the direction the dark-cloaked people would be heading whenever you would hear strange animal calls out in the woods, so I guess the skinwalkers had their own fight club set up.
the one I've dubbed the deer king (due to his absurdly large crown of antlers) disliked when you'd enter his domain (technically speaking it was the untamed woodland part of my back yard) unannounced and would chase you out, or he would make the plants close in on your path behind you unless you announced your purpose there. I'd seen him on a road a good fifteen to twenty miles away once. he'd jumped in front of my mom's car on the way to my grandmother's, hopped a fence, and then walked along on his hind legs looking back at me, though I avoided direct eye contact. I passed it off as a trick of the eyes because I was tired. another time I'd forgotten to call out that I was just there to admire the woodland and took a vine covered tree to the face and then got led on a wild goose chase through three counties over twelve miles of roads because he wanted to really let me know that the old broken-down barbed-wire fence in the woods was as far as he was willing to let me go without asking permission. This also happened to be after a winter storm had blown through and the high that day was roughly nineteen degrees, and it just got colder after about ten in the morning. not only was I missing for five hours, not only was I soaked from head to toe in the middle of winter (because he'd smacked me with the tree as I'd jumped a half-frozen creek because two days prior it had been in the fifties and the water hadn't had a chance to freeze over yet) but the next day I woke up blinded by a poison ivy rash in my eyes. to add insult to injury the wooden sword I'd had with me at the time ended up disappearing because I'd been a bit too trail-happy while I was out there. at least he returned my saw after about eight years.
My Goodness.. I'm from an island in the Pacific and most of what this chief said closely resemble what Tamarongs (similar to shamans) from my island do to other people.
I've got a story. I live in New Mexico, my friends were driving from Albuquerque to Farmington. My friend Ashley was driving, everyone else in the car was sleeping. It was like 1 am. Apparently while she was driving around Cuba, she noticed something running on the side of the road. She focused in on it and saw it was a dog. Then she realized she was driving 75 mph. Then she looked back up out the window and it was running next to the car, then apparently it looked over at her and it had a human face. It's an outrageous claim, but the kicker is, Ashley doesn't lie, is smart and intelligent, and she swears she saw what she saw. Everyone in the car can attest that they woke up to hear screaming belligerently. 100% true story.
Iv seen a huge dog also driving from abq to farminton. It looked lika big furry saint bernard... it didnt do anything but just sit on the side of the road and watch us drive by... it was also very late into the night.. i believe ur story is true...
Oh yeah. I been on road 550 all my life. From Albuquerque to Farmington. Before Cuba there's this place called torreon. When my mom used to drink and we go out there in my uncles truck and go to the back road in torreon to go home and encountered skinwalkers. Never been out there since 2002 or 2003
I'm no expert here but those who are asking if he put himself in danger I question most who say they are Navajo he's a big boy he knows what he's doing
Maybe if he was inexperienced and naive to not believe then yeah.. but most likely he prepped up with a medicine man. I hope to one day befriend a medicine man. Either from a reservation here in their lands or down in Mexico. I've seen the good they do I have so much respect for them. I love all Native Americans from North America and from Mexico.
When skinwalkers are in groups they whistle like a natural noise like birds sounds and make a soft knocking to your door or walls to see if someone is inside the house..is best to stay quiet and don't come out at all, also I've heard at late hours at night on my roof someone walking like with cowboy boots sounds. but I'm used to it already I just fall asleep and don't think or talk about skinwalkers because you'll attract them to you and they will mess with you.
Not all skinwalkers/time travelers are evil. If you get dropped into a place you've never been, youd be scared, defensive, and possibly attack mode. Thats why alot of skinwalkers run away. Most wont bother you if your strong minded. Weak minded, yes. We all have souls. Live, Die, Repeat. Just dont know what dimension or time is next in the next life.
Wilo_Is _Laughing is it really that strong belief with Navajo about the skinwalker? (Sorry for the dumb question Im not Navajo so I'm a little intrigued)
Annette Garcia Yes it is. The majority of us believe that if we talk about them at night, they'll hear us and come for us. That's why don't speak about them at night.
Who gives a shit? Your fucking experience is just that, one mans experience. These things have been talked about in many different cultures for many many years much more than your 25 years in Arizona.
There's no such thing, their just people dressed up as an animal. At night it looks scary, they do that to spy on their neighbors or to do some other stuff.
Thank you Chief Dan for sharing your experiences with us here. My apologies for the gentleman interviewing you. May you and your family be forever blessed with protection from all spiritual attacks in any realm, dimension and reality. I believe in you and what you have shared. Mahsi ❤️ All non Indigenous need to know you are talking to an Elder. You show respect and quit cutting him off.
I know this is an old video interview, but I love it and have watched it several times over he years. Every time I watch it I learn something new. Thank You
There were a group of skinwalkers hanging out one night sitting around a campfire. They wanted to party but ran out of beer so one went on a beer run. Since alcohol is illegal on the rez he had to run in his skin to a small border community that had a gas station where most Navajo's did their beer runs. After he bought the beer he started on his way back to his buddies but decided to slam a few before he put his skin back on. When he started to feel the effects he put his skin back on and started running. He wondered why it seemed like he had tunnel vision and it was a little difficult to run as easily as he had earlier. He ignored it and just thought it was the beer. When he returned to his buddies they looked at him with surprise and asked why he was moving backwards. He then realized he put his skin on backwards and ran back looking through the other end. It's better when told in Navajo.
Edit as of 1/6/2019-I am so tired of comments trying to correct me about Djinn so let me clarify my point. One I am aware of the “culture” difference in the myths of both Djinn in Arabic culture and skin-walkers in Navajo culture! Two, I was TRYING to point out that there is a common thread of manipulation and shapeshifting and infer that the race known as the Djinn is at fault! The Djinn, while in Islamic mythos, comes from older pagan cultures and in this case is referring to the Race known as Djinn!! As in being a race of inter-dimensional shapeshifters we humans could not differentiate between a real demon and a Djinn messing with you! They could pretend to be an alien and abduct you! So how would you know the Real alien!! This was my freaking point! Original Post: Skin-walkers are what is known as the Djinn. And when an actual Human can do this, they are either Djinn hybrids or they are partially possessed and have made a deal with the Djinn. Djinn are shapeshifters and master manipulators. They were made from smokeless fire, and can take any form. Ones that just came from their realm will look like smoke on the edges of their form, or like parts of them are billowing out, or bleeding out into reality like smoke. They exist in-between the 3rd and 4th dimension. They must be summoned here, were trapped here for a time and released, or put to sleep here long ago for a contracted amount of time and for a purpose. They can also access this realm through any portals or pathways made or occurring naturally. There are two types of Sasquatch. One is good, in a sense, they guard the forests. The other is the bad ones, they are predators in all ways, they are attracted to blood, and have red eyes. The good ones have that golden yellow color. Never whistle while out in or near woods, it is a challenge to them and all Natives raised in the Old Ways know not to do that in the Woods. As far as Dog-Man, they were once Djinn, that favored the Canine Forms and were cursed to be stuck that way, or ones that stayed too long here, and so they have become more attuned with this physical Dimension. They are Guardian Warriors. Never go looking for them, they are very dangerous and are all about Fear, they personify and magnify it. Blessed Be Brothers and Sister!!
ChoctawNawtic Its all the same. The shadow man, black eyed children, some alien sightings, and so on. Originally the Djinn were literally another different Race, Non-human, made before man that had free will like man but could be all forms, any form. It feeds off of energy and emotion, and can only maintain a body for so long. The legends say that when god asked the angels to bow down to man, he also asked the djinn. Some did most didn't for they felt superior to man so they were pushed out of this physical dimension. Given a world of there own. Some are Good, Some are Bad. Most hate humanity as a whole because of what we have become. I don't know if I believe all the legends, and I totally get that there are other things out there. But a being that is able to change its shape to what ever it wills, can be either physical or intangible I think a lot of things that happen. Djinn are the skin walkers, or the skin walkers are descended from djinn. They both change shape, both are trickster, both are master manipulators. And while I trust a lot of Native Traditions and Lore, I also know that no one knows everything. So I went looking. I always wanted to know everything, and to see all perspective. Ever since a child. I would have been a medicine man, a shaman in the old world. I wanted to heal on all levels because I know to be truly well one must be well as a whole, not just their mind, or chi, or body. I am a Hierophant.
ChoctawNawtic I don't. Djinn means Hidden Ones. The Djinn comes from older pagan beliefs. Just like the Idea of Angels or the Elohim come from older Religions. Not One of the Monotheistic Religions can claim any originality in their Archetypes, they are all adaptations of older concepts. I am a mixture of Deist and Pantheist. Consciousness is One, and The One is All. And what others call God is the Soul/Mind/Super Consciousness of the Multiverse, of Life and Nature. I don't even call it God as that has a male connotation. I call It the Divine One. I do not mean to imply any allegiance to any one religion. Christians and Jews would just label the Djinn as Demons, hell most of Islam sees them that way, lumping them in with their Ideas of Fallen Angels. Pagans know them as Elementals. I call them the Djinn, as in Genie, Tricksters, Manipulators. It is the oldest actual Name of a Race, that I have found thus far. For they are not of Man, nor of the Elohim, but something else. And as I use God to get my Idea across to people who have a limited understanding and vocabulary, so to do I use Djinn to get people to understand they are separate from us, and not quiet a Demon though they can "play" as one. Like all Monotheistic Religions they have stolen older, far more ancient and powerful knowledge and assimilated it into their cultures and religions. They do the same with all human cultures that do not perceive the way they do so they view it as a threat and assimilate it. Like Baptism, which originally was a ritualistic elemental cleansing with water to purify both body and soul. All of their Rituals and Ideas were adapted from older, more in tuned religions that gave the people to much power through knowledge. They don't want a power filled Mass of Sheeple. They want weak, sick, dependent and stupid, naïve, ignorant, gullible, and easily manipulated sheeple as a resource.
Thedeepesttruth I see. Well, I have a broad range of spiritual understanding, and I am a Christian. So, one doesn't mean the other. Thanks for your explanation.
Thanks to Chief Dan & all involved for this video. A treasure of native tradition & experience. Especially horrifying to me is when the thing calls someone by their name.
My ex said that he and his girlfriend were traveling through Arizona, and were in reservation land. They parked to go inside a store or fast food place, and this crazy old Indian man came and began to yell at them and really gave them a hard time, pointing at their car - as if to run them off. The lady working there told him to leave them alone. Later, as they drove away, the girlfriend kept complaining about the strong, sour milk smell in the car - and was accusing the guys of spilling something in her car. No one knew where it came from. Later they learned that the smell of sour milk is the sign a curse has been placed on something/someone by a skinwalker.
I just ADORE you, Chief! How respectable you are; how soft-spoken yet serious about what you are saying. All signs of a great Chief, I believe., i am Wasichu (trying to learn Lakota!), but since I was a very little girl, I have always had a love and respect in my heart for the Tribal Nations of Lakota and Navajo. I don’t know why, because I’ve gone back fairly far in my family tree and see no American Indian bloodlines? Perhaps it’s just reading and hearing about how beautifully you live, the harmony and love of The People? I always just wanted to be a proud Indian......I’m sure you’ve heard of this in other people and have a good idea why! May God richly bless you, good sir, and keep you and yours safe in the Palm of His Nail-Scarred, Loving Hand.....in Jesus’s Name, Amen! ♥️🕊✝️🙏🙋♀️💕💜🕎🌹
I AM NOT NATIVE....BUT I LIKE LISTENING TO CHIEF DAN.............AND I LIKE THE FLUTES........I LISTEN TO THIS VIDEO EVERY NIGHT BEFORE BED........IT REALLY IS MELLOW AND HE PUTS ME TO SLEEP....THANK YOU CHIEF DAN.
I’m not First Nation, but since I was a little girl, I’ve been drawn to First Nations people. My wife is 37% Navajo and she hardly focuses on her First Nation lineage, especially mystical/spiritual information. I on the other hand, am intrigued by the oral history that is being shared and totally respect this gift being given, to both Native and non native. Thank you truly
I'm native American and I have had some encounters here in rough rock Arizona in the Navajo nation and I live with my grandma and my aunt .. the skinwalker was attached to my aunt and she's the one who had more encounters with skinwalkers .. but since my grandma house had burn down there has been no encounters that my aunt has had
God bless you Josiah, if you ever see or feel anything evil please remember to say "in Jesus name". You can literally command evil away. Don't listen to bitter fools and idiots that trash that name.

I bet the first thing grandmother said, after the man left, was to get out the eagle feather and sage the room after all that negative and dark discussion. lol
Yeah definitely. We really have to be careful what kinds of energy we bring into our dwellings and what kinds of energies and objects we surround ourselves with. Believe it or not. Understand that things and energies can influence your thoughts and your thoughts become your actions. These are major contributing factors as to what your life becomes and when and where you will end up. Smudge your house and yard with sage and get rid of negative things and toxic people. Stop allowing them to harm you and influencing you to indirectly or directly harm others as a result. There is so much evil in the world already. You can be brave and strong against it and be a beacon of good. Different for the better. Or you can be just like everyone and everything abundant in evil in this world. By your choices. Your spirit knows what it is and at the end of the day it is you who has to live or die with the consequences of your choices. Evil thoughts and evil doings attract evil things to you while good acts and thoughts attract good spirits and things to you. Dare to stand up. Be brave. Be different. Be a force for good
I appreciate Chief Dan for his time and I appreciate JC for being respectful with his time and questions. I am not a religious or spiritual person but I do find it interesting and odd that so many cultures that never met/interacted throughout history ALL had stories about evil beings and spirits. I know I am privileged to live on this land, my ancestors came here and helped decimate the native population, and it does not make me happy. Hopefully I can somehow repay the actual natives of this continent by respecting their culture and listening to their stories and learning from their lessons.

I saw a hag one night when i was a child. It disguised itself as a family member so i would invite it into the room then transformed into a hag. I was lying in bed and it came up and it was hideous. This fucking thing was ancient and came close so i could see all the details of its skin. I screamed and my mother came. These things are very real. Once u see one, your life is ruined and u can never have a normal life. And nobody will believe u, so you are alone with this terrible knowledge.

skinwalkers are very real. I was with my dad a few years back driving through the country side then suddenly out of the bushes something can running along side the car we were going about 80km its skin was sagging and it had the shape of a human but it was running on all 4s its eyes were glowing like a wolfs eyes would, then it disappeared into the bushes again
Man, I wish I knew more about all of this. I feel like I NEED to know the truth about it all. I wish I knew where to go to learn. You can tell he's not too comfortable talking about it all. It would have been nice if the interviewer would have let him talk a bit more, not been so dominating, but it was a pretty good interview aside from that.
Baily Emmett You can learn about these strange things...THE BIBLE!! ONE of Kind David's men killed a Lion Like Man..They killed the last of the Giants...They came from the fallin Angeles...These are Very evil spirits...And the old man knows it!! But were is the Man Of GOD!! The Doors are being OPENED...MY LORD JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE YOUR SOUL!!! AND IT IS FREE. GOD BLESS
I've learned a lot by studying various religions beyond just the Bible. The various pagan beliefs have vast stores of knowledge within their teachings. Especially if you are willing to open the door and walk through it. Only issue is that once you do this you can never go back to not knowing and sometimes the truth can be hard to swallow. If you can accept your own existence and inevitable death then you can really learn a whole lot. It really comes down to how far you want to take your own transcendence of mind.
good video ,love hearing elders telling us about folk lore , history ,you can learn alot from someone like the cheif you are lucky to know people like him . keep up the good work
Thank you for your work, Mr. Johnson! I am glad that you make it possible for us here in Europe to learn about these things and that they stay in our memories!
its so amazing how 2 different cultures can have the same story...im not a navajo im just a regular country side spanish guy but we also have somethig similar to this and we call it guin ...a person that can transform into an animal..now ive never seen it but many people say they have and they always blame the same person and many people even claim they have seen him do it...idk what to think anymore
ppl think we're crazy, or we've been sipping on spirit water. But you forget this was OUR LAND and only we know what's really out there. LISTEN TO YOUR ELDERS they tell of stories( these stories aren't myths, but in fact truth). I am native but never lived on the reservation BUT my cousin's/ uncle/ aunt/ mom have and they tell me scary stories of real encounters. ex. my cousin was outside his brothers house one night smoking and he said he seen a tall black figure with yellow eyes staring back at him from the bush at first it was bent over, then he said it stood up and was very tall...now my cousin in 6/2 so tall to him is scary. he unfortunately ran back inside and when he told me this I already knew what he saw. ex.2 my grandfather and uncle were walking one night from a party and they heard singing in the bush calling, to come in further..my uncle told me they ran as fast as they could home and refused to look back. ex. 3 I visited my cousin on the reservation he lives in the bush part, I seen a nice trail quite and fun looking for a hike, ( on my bday/ uncles funeral) they told me not to walk alone ( fear of the wild dogs, and how they have been known to attack in packs) but being me I laughed and kept on walking, it was a nice 20 minute walk to get to the other end, I could here animals as I pushed forward , but idk I'm probably crazy but I swear It went quite near the end of the trail and I kept looking at this one part of the bush, idk why but I had a sense to keep watching it( like animal instinct when you know a bigger animal is out there). I walked back but still felt weird....my mom met me when I got back to my cousin and she wanted to walk with me I suggested the way I came but she wasn't feeling it so, we headed her way and wound up near a bigger bush area the feeling of something was fkn with me, so I joked with her AND said hey let's go look further inside... before I could take a step she grabbed my arm and said no let's go" there are witches in there" I thought she was historical, and agreed to her wishes but for some reason she held onto me tight as hell back to my cousins house and refused to look back... till this day I wonder what she saw or what she knew I didn't.
been doing some reading about crypto stuff.... since im part Native American, i read up on Skinwalkers... but im really Filipino. i came from Philippines and over there we have a thing called "Aswang" long story short, Aswang and Skinwalkers are the same thing... keep in mind, America and the Philippines are on the opposite sides of the globe.

Great interview, but the background flute music is NOT indicative of the Navajo. It is quite annoying to hear this flute music when most times ANYTHING pertaining to Natives accompanies FLUTE MUSIC. Sure, some tribes had the flute, but mostly those in South America. UGH.
+youpumpertube The music in the background is from Carlos Nakai. He is of Navajo/Ute origin. The music may not be traditional, in the sense that you appreciate. But, it comes from his heart. Isn't that enough?
No, it's not enough, because it's a stereotype that needs to be eradicated. It's like the wooden Indians in front of some shops - it makes Natives seem inanimate. I cannot count how many times I hear flute music when ANY TRIBE is mentioned.
It is apart of the diné culture as it is with other native cultures. It has to do with vibrational healing, as is the drum and prayer songs. It's not just a flute. If you don't know this don't speak for those who do. Respect.
He knows more than hes telling them and i dont blame the guy for keeping his secrets. This guy isnt stupid...the way hes talking you can tell he knows more than hes letting on.

When the Navajo were at war with the Utes the Navajo used the Skinwalker to curse them because of infringement of land. To this day the Skinwalker clan has been active. The world has changed and the people have suffered greatly. In their suffering their hearts have grown sad and angry. Filled with hate and jealousy for their brothers and sisters. The once great Skinwalker clan has lost the love of the people and now answers the call of bad medicine.
I've faced twice on the Navajo reservation at night. One while driving down the road. And one fallowed me when I was walking to my friends house. I just kept walking didn't knock on my friends door just went in looked out the window and it stopped not even a inch from the door. After a bit it turned and walked away. Now I've seen them almost every night but they don't approach me now. I'll see them in the driveway or fields. They just change and run off, and yeah they don't exactly move right. Much like a shadow. I use to drop everything and stay in the mountains after I turned 18. I've seen many things. There is alit most people really don't know about.
Thank you for sharing this interview. Chief Dan explains alot as to what really is going on with the skin walkers. I now understand it is something I do NOT wish to get involved in.
I've never seen a skinwalker but being out at my grandma's at night is pretty creepy. One night my sister, her husband and kids were sleeping in 1 room. They heard someone knock loudly on the window and it woke up my sister and her husband, and my brother in law ran outside to where their bedroom window is and there was no one out there, no footprints. My brother in law tries to be logical and say it could be the dog's tail wagging against the wall, but it was freaky nonetheless.
Dear JC Johnson, At 22.21 , you describe about Dog-men (Cyanocephalus). I did watch an entire documentary. In one instance the investigators saw these dog men smoking cigarettes. Historically, it seems in ancient India in the Himalayan mountains there lived a 120,000 strong race of dog headed men described by the greeks like Herodotus. They are described to be morally Just. They depended on raw meat and were hunter gathers. They traded with kings of India with Amber. They went extinct when Alexander's army attacked this tribe decimating them. I found from the research that these skin walkers take forms of even extinct species then that may be your answer. Just a hypothesis. Whats say?
I like the vibe of the video both of these men seem excited and scared of searching for ultimate truths And the chemistry between them feels nice and warm
He got me thinking about coyotes, and a personal story I have of known only by my mother, the police department that found me, and the coyote that protected me. Then I remembered reading about a girl that was fairly recently fatally attacked by a group of them. Sometimes wild things are so confusing...I don't know the circumstances, but I wonder what she did?
its all instinct even with the big animals bears and mountain lions or to say theres good shamans and bad shamans...lol that mother instinct is the most powerful do to the unknown power some get like a mountain lion scaring off a hungry BIG bear from her baby and some stories as women getting power to left a car to get to theyer baby(which i only readed about though)= see its instinct thus a animal helper or spirit guide for shamans which anyone has it(like kids are closer to god because of theyre age)
I have a smiliar story. I was little and wanted to go outside. I opened the door and walked about 9 ft away from the doorway to go play. This coyote came outta nowhere and started dragging me off. Kicking and screaming, my dad came running out with the metal broom. Thing almost ate me!
Now that's something in common with the transformation into a Wendigo. 4:04 That correlation adds legitimacy to BOTH phenomenons in my opinion. Very interesting.

I heard stories, and people who been chased, and seen them hiding in brushes. tribal police see these things but they are to fast. people from the outside will never understand. they want to see these things and its not ment for them to go searching. we rely on dogs cause they are good, they see things we cant.
Christianization of the west and the dissolving of their Pagan ways and connections to the Old Gods is what causes them to not see, your abstraction of thought shows a lack of the understanding of this world. In European culture we have Were-wolf, Lycanthrope, Berserker, etc it is the same thing. Its just many do not see any more because they are blinded by the false prophets and thus lost to spirit world. My family was never Christianized so I am able to see and was taught to use such powers from a early age. Remember what the church did to your people they also did to European people for 2000 years of enslavement. That is a veil that most cannot life and it will take many reincarnations to realize for them. I also hope your veil is lifted so you can see past the abstraction of this maya (illusion) that is rampant in the casual field of existence.
@Gamahea Games™ I also know the secret sciences you speak of. But I reject being in the aura of christ, he is not of my kind. Void of him is full of life. We were here before him and will be here after, before names before abstraction we were, without thoughts to bring us into being. From flame to flame we travel immortal and forever.
@Gamahea Games™ if you speak the language of fairies, landspirits, willowisps you will know that what you just said is the demagogue tricking you into enslavement. As every being is infinite and can only ascend or descend the choice is theirs and theirs alone. No entities can force anything that you are not wanting to have done to you. That's why the subconscious and sleep of humans is so fascinating. They hide who they are from even themselves. But we see through it and know who they are and without judgement.

thank you for the amazing video. lately me n my mother have been dealing with something strange in the neighborhood. theres scratch marks on the fence and i think i still have pictures of the tracks it left behind. we believe its a skinwalker due to what ive described to a friend of mine and what weve researched. what I saw was a large dog/huminoid thing with long arms and a flat ish face, with yellow eyes peering at us over the fence afew houses down at about 3am.
Very interesting. This is something I've been very curious about for years. . .I'd love to be able to see or hear one of these "meetings" of the medicine men.
My uncle had a gargoyle that appeared to him when ever he wanted it too. Once he rode up to a gate on his ranch and the gargoyle opened and closed the gate for him. When I asked my uncle if I could have him after uncle died, he said I wasn't powerful enough. That disappointed me. Oh well I'll have to open and close the gate myself. 😇

Good thing that most of the stuff taught in the textbooks is usually based on actual facts and research with the exception of the religious bullshit.
History is only the winning side

What he says about his cat hit home. My dog always ‘saw’ things. She woke from a sound sleep beside me on the couch and stared into the dining room for a long time. She then hopped down and stared into the room by the stairs. She was tense, the hair on her neck was up straight. Then she backed up and looked like she was creeping forward. She sat at the bottom of the stairs looking up and started growling. She was a Chihuahua, still a baby at 6 months old. I lit sage.

@Rob Napoli I think you mean my dog is gonna need its diaper changed *when* it happens
@Rob Napoli i agree.

Definitely it's because the sin follows the next generation.
As a practicing norse pagan, because I live in North America I want to know as much about it as possible to protect myself and my loved one from such things. I understand not talking about it to outsiders at large though because people that don't understand the seriousness or the spiritual side of it can findthselves in a very dangerous position.

@@The_bigbo55, I was just wondering, from what I read about the "Berserkers" they sounded very similar to Skinwalkers, what do you think?
@Terry Ulmer not at all. Berserkr and ulfhednar wore animal skins for intimidation in battle and their alleged superhuman abilities didn't come from magic, more accurately from some sort of mind altering substance or trance induced states. Berserkrs and ulfhednar just got thwir name from what they wore rather than trying to become the animal. Skinwalkers are essentially shaman that practice dark magic and use animal skins to BECOME the animal and to become one you must sacrifice someone close to you or that you love dearly.

I understand the cats are a problem.
In Mexico they are called Nagual or Brujos. Aztecs/Mexica, Olmecas had shape shifters. Mostly coyote, dog, jaguars
Cats identify negative spirits and drive them away!
n prevalent in certain parts of southeast asia as well, among my folks we have something similar to that, Known as the "Phim nyuj whai."
Shape shifting creatures who often disturbs the hunt and mainly takes the form of a very strange humanoid monkey n every now and then, a jungle plains wolf.
Very hard to kill, elusive, dangerous when provoked and a trickster of the old. Were often told to stay away from the forest when hunting and an unfamiliar animal call is sounded.a phim nyuj whai may be present.
Shapeshifters also in the ancient Celtic. But then friendly and helpfull with the strength/ power/ energy of that particulair animal.
Some times while I had been living there I'd see dark-cloaked figures
crossing through my back yard into the deep-woods at night. there was a
trail through my yard the next day every time I'd see it. the tracks
were faint, but they were definitely there. there were over twenty of
them. one time a few days after one of these meetings I went walking
through the woods and found a deer carcass on an altar made of piled
river-rocks in an oddly-lit clearing. its neck had been broken. they
were meeting at a dry creek-bed.
The next time I saw my friend his father told me "You should stay away from those river-bluffs, or the next time you might slip and fall in."
I had told nobody about going over there, or that I had been looking for mushrooms near the old river bluffs my friend and I would climb on, so I was a bit surprised, and asked how my friend's father had known I'd been out there. he just gave me a facial expression halfway between a grin and a snarl, and his jaw started to elongate by a few centimeters. he quickly went outside and wasn't seen for a few hours, though you could hear something killing rabbits throughout the area. he wasn't hungry when he got back.
There were also many times I'd wake up in the middle of the night to her clawing at my bedroom windows just to mess with me (since my mom insisted on keeping the front door unlocked, so if she wanted in she could have just gone through there)
At some point she stopped trying to kill me (though she would still get the occasional scare in) and started to just observe me, so I ended up in the habit of walking up to the top of the drive whenever the moon was bright, sitting by the side of the road, and reading.
Absolutely amazing........
I wish flutes would play when I spoke.
Lol
😂 ditto
😂😂😂😂
Haaaaaaaaaa!
Skin flute🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My Goodness.. I'm from an island in the Pacific and most of what this chief said closely resemble what Tamarongs (similar to shamans) from my island do to other people.
Hh
+R ...
I believe you Brother!
I have several similar stories...
Iv seen a huge dog also driving from abq to farminton. It looked lika big furry saint bernard... it didnt do anything but just sit on the side of the road and watch us drive by... it was also very late into the night.. i believe ur story is true...
R I just heard a story recently(A few minutes ago) that sounded almost exactly like this.
Oh yeah. I been on road 550 all my life. From Albuquerque to Farmington. Before Cuba there's this place called torreon. When my mom used to drink and we go out there in my uncles truck and go to the back road in torreon to go home and encountered skinwalkers. Never been out there since 2002 or 2003
Heard simular stories .. I believe Dwendes is the name of them.
Did Chief Dan place himself in danger talking about this? Thank you all. Interesting for sure. Our world is strange.
yes, he did. Targeted not only himself but his family too.
He did. To speak of the Skin Walker, is for us, to bring their wrath against us. Especially at night.
I'm no expert here but those who are asking if he put himself in danger I question most who say they are Navajo he's a big boy he knows what he's doing
He did but he most likely he asked a medcine man come and bring out sn eagle feather and smudge and put on red powder and pray.
Plz pray for this sweet native man that he will be protected. The power of the Lord is stronger than the enemy.
Yes Wakan Tanka is all powerful
When skinwalkers are in groups they whistle like a natural noise like birds sounds and make a soft knocking to your door or walls to see if someone is inside the house..is best to stay quiet and don't come out at all, also I've heard at late hours at night on my roof someone walking like with cowboy boots sounds. but I'm used to it already I just fall asleep and don't think or talk about skinwalkers because you'll attract them to you and they will mess with you.
I believe all of what you say. Thank you for sharing.
If you go to sleep when there on your property dont you think they can find a way into your house and really hurt you?
@Quotius X Protected in christ? Why does he allow this to happen if he hates evil so much? Dont you find that odd?
Not all skinwalkers/time travelers are evil. If you get dropped into a place you've never been, youd be scared, defensive, and possibly attack mode. Thats why alot of skinwalkers run away. Most wont bother you if your strong minded. Weak minded, yes. We all have souls. Live, Die, Repeat. Just dont know what dimension or time is next in the next life.
Geddoe he lets it happen so we learn to believe and trust in him
Would've been bad if they did this interview at night... >~<
We (Navajo) aren't supposed to talk about them at night
Wilo_Is _Laughing :0
Wilo_Is _Laughing is it really that strong belief with Navajo about the skinwalker? (Sorry for the dumb question Im not Navajo so I'm a little intrigued)
Annette Garcia Yes it is. The majority of us believe that if we talk about them at night, they'll hear us and come for us. That's why don't speak about them at night.
Wilo_Is _Laughing wait what about thinking about them? I heard from those "true scary encounters" stories you can't even think about them
Annette Garcia yeah that's true too. That's why we always tell ourselves and others to think positively throughout the night or day
Ive lived in Arizona for about 25 years and I am 1000000000000% glad I have never run into a skin walker
and you never will
Mike and Ashley O'Neill
Who gives a shit? Your fucking experience is just that, one mans experience. These things have been talked about in many different cultures for many many years much more than your 25 years in Arizona.
Daniel Miazoa apparently you do, you replied.
Mahsi ❤️
All non Indigenous need to know you are talking to an Elder. You show respect and quit cutting him off.
Thank you. There is a motive with the message. Avoid evil at all costs.
💯
I know this is an old video interview, but I love it and have watched it several times over he years. Every time I watch it I learn something new. Thank You
I could sit and talk/listen to Chief Dan for hours. I'd love to just chat with him for days.
from camping and hiking in the high mountain desert, i can tell you that there are spooky unexplained things out there !
+stephen miller What did you see? Try me
so why don't you tell us then instead of just saying there scary things out there.
IVE HEARD AND SEEN WEIRD SHIT TOO, HUNTING AND CAMPING OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE TX AND SOUTH TX.
WHAT?
walk out ! then get back with me.
So in other words, when you drink too much, you make an ass of yourself!
😂🤣😂🤣
Sounds more like, when you drink too much you talk out of your ♧ss @terryulmer969
My husband is Navajo and we have been together for 5 years he recently shared his story on this subject and it scared me lol
Thedeepesttruth And where do you get these beliefs? Djinn are clearly from Islam.
Thedeepesttruth Right, but why do you choose to formulate that belief in djinn specifically according to Islam?
Thats creepy oh god
Great video! Such a humble man! Respect.....
R.I.P. JC, you were a real one brother. You will be missed my friend.
When did he die? I just discovered his work
He’s missed even if you didn’t know him.
Hi Josiah I live in England we have nothing like that over here have you seen anything else?
@@kyleabrams5036 , Christianity lies. No Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus nor John nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew Alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Christianity has been deceiving people for thousands of years.
@@kyleabrams5036 So far that hasn't worked very well because evil is actually now running for your local political offices.
I bet the first thing grandmother said, after the man left, was to get out the eagle feather and sage the room after all that negative and dark discussion. lol
Cedar the room lol
Robert Rainey EXACTLY!!!
Why say it's negative talk
Martin it is said if you talk or even think about them that it will attract them
Yeah definitely.
Turn the music off . This man's wisdom needs to be heard
I'm aboriginal & I have to say American native are similar to us. Creepy tho we have that too
im ojibwe and im heavily researching into mythology NOW THATS creeply same human origins everywhere on earth--- even a lost city of atlantis has the same statue which seems to be alien techology on unlimited energie which is alread been done since the black and white photo camras
Jonathan Reich oh forgot that same statue is at the "forbidden castle" of china at the main gate- the lion statue and in his paw is sphere with designs
+Jonathan Reich hmm interesting 😏
I forgot which one but I think its vietnam but = I notice they had a four directions symbols like it had spring, summer, fall, winter. then there was another one with deeper meanings
Ok that's creepy,
Don't mind me but what's Ojibwe?
I love that Elder. Is he still with us?
Im praying he is
I’m praying he is but if he isn’t he is in a better place now😌🙏🏽
I just ran across this video now 12 years later. This is fascinating. I’m not native myself but my husband is Plains Cree. His people have very different stories from this but they are no less fascinating. I love them.

very nice man. very humble. wish I could be like him
.. I heard people here in my country also talking about a foul smell, when something evil is around.!..
Yea, unexplained foul smells are usually associared with the demonic.
explosivefreak666 Yes of decaying flesh that make them vomit its so bad. Ive hears that in almost all stories Ive read. Womder if its skin they took off others since they say they need new skin etc. Damn I wish a real one could or would show and prove it and explain it all.
😈
Very true because every time I smell a foul odor there's something evil that comes out of my ass.... Usually 5 to 10 times a week.
Probably their ass flaps covered in shit.
skinwalker stories freak me out.
all over the world there are stories like this. in the Caribbean they are called hags. creepy
true
Maria Sunshine this is interesting to know what other native indigenous people my people brown people have to say because I grew up in the so called u.s.a so our history is a mystery peace
I really want to become a skinwalker really bad
I saw a hag one night when i was a child. It disguised itself as a family member so i would invite it into the room then transformed into a hag. I was lying in bed and it came up and it was hideous. This fucking thing was ancient and came close so i could see all the details of its skin. I screamed and my mother came. These things are very real. Once u see one, your life is ruined and u can never have a normal life. And nobody will believe u, so you are alone with this terrible knowledge.
Terrarium Firma are you serious?
great interview.he seemed nervous but knows about alot about this topic.like he said 99%is not good its evil.
+Lisa Knox He Probably nervous because i heard from natives that you are not really allowed to talk about these things in detail is "forbidden". but who knows.
+rina m truth be told yes the superstition is that of which you speak
+rina m it is said it opens you up to attract them to you more often.
+navicast87 is creepy!
+rina m yes truly but also that might be so. But even wisdom to know not to speak of. Can lead you to always fear that of which is creepy.
this music is powerful.. so amazing listening to cheif Dan with the music creeping into your soul
If there is a next time, in another realm, try closing your mouth, and listening to Chief Dan; you kept leading him; you already know what you think, have experienced, and believe.
skinwalkers are very real. I was with my dad a few years back driving through the country side then suddenly out of the bushes something can running along side the car we were going about 80km its skin was sagging and it had the shape of a human but it was running on all 4s its eyes were glowing like a wolfs eyes would, then it disappeared into the bushes again
Where was the shotgun at lol man I wouldn’t go anywhere in the woods wit out my guns lol even if it’s just driving to get somewhere lol
I remember skinwalker stories from when I was a kid in NM. I couldn't sleep for weeks. Mad respect for the Dene.
We're not suppose to talk about them. It gives them power to mess with you if you don't know Yah.
mark reaves what will they do of they mess with you
Chief Dan is an amazing + wise man.... i can listen to him talk for hours.

He’s uncomfortable because we aren’t supposed to be taking about this stuff with white people. Or just not talk about it at all
I've learned a lot by studying various religions beyond just the Bible. It really comes down to how far you want to take your own transcendence of mind.
good video ,love hearing elders telling us about folk lore , history ,you can learn alot from someone like the cheif you are lucky to know people like him . keep up the good work
Wait a minute, you never hear flute music when Elizabeth Warren speaks!
Hahahha
Skin flute music plays when Elizabeth Warren speaks.
OMG SMH Lolol that was awful... but I couldn't help but laugh.
Lmao!😂
MrTdw1954 llilolilololol
Thank you for your work, Mr. Johnson! I am glad that you make it possible for us here in Europe to learn about these things and that they stay in our memories!
Thank you for sharing this. This information I know is hard to share for him, but it is much appreciated.
its so amazing how 2 different cultures can have the same story...im not a navajo im just a regular country side spanish guy but we also have somethig similar to this and we call it guin ...a person that can transform into an animal..now ive never seen it but many people say they have and they always blame the same person and many people even claim they have seen him do it...idk what to think anymore
RMCF i have heard animals can turn into people from my native american homie.
Could you elaborate?
Every culture knows and shares the same context

ppl think we're crazy, or we've been sipping on spirit water.

I truly respect native Americans . They are the original people of North America
and of south america. don't forget south america, canada, and mexico
Windover Bog People were.
I just found your channel and other video with Chief Dan.. I really enjoyed it and will be watching your other works.. Thanks
Thanks, JC Johnson. Always enjoy your videos.
been doing some reading about crypto stuff.... since im part Native American, i read up on Skinwalkers... but im really Filipino. i came from Philippines and over there we have a thing called "Aswang"
long story short, Aswang and Skinwalkers are the same thing... keep in mind, America and the Philippines are on the opposite sides of the globe.
In every nation their is good and evil
It’s all black magic, it’s crazy how long this stuff has been covered up. In Jamaican culture they also have witches that can shapeshift.
Were these teachings and practices ever adopted by military? Intelligence services? I love you guys and Chief Dan thank you for the content!
lot's of military training stories online, if they are real (which is a huge possibility in my opinion now... intelligence definitely knows about it if they're real).
Don't think so. They use other occult practices.

In so many things, and in so many ways, all I have been doing over the years has somehow come full circle. Thanks Robbie.
Amazing video. Have listened several times! Thanks so much for the share.
+youpumpertube Thank you. Think if that were similarly done with African Americans and beating drums etc.
Yes it is, the flute IS part of traditional Navajo music.
This is beautiful. I am really, literally heartbroken to witness once again, how jelousy can wreak one's soul. I feel trully sorry for both sides of conflict. Both humans and Yenaldooshi equally
💯
This story was EXCELLENT! I am surprised I found this. Just subscribed
Chief Dan had alot of insight on skin walkers,,great interview
When the Navajo were at war with the Utes the Navajo used the Skinwalker to curse them because of infringement of land. To this day the Skinwalker clan has been active. The world has changed and the people have suffered greatly. In their suffering their hearts have grown sad and angry. Filled with hate and jealousy for their brothers and sisters. The once great Skinwalker clan has lost the love of the people and now answers the call of bad medicine.
True. My family done that.
Ya'átééh I'm díne can you elaborate some more please?
Mathew Bazan what do Skinwalkers look like truly
The indian flute music cheapens this mans narrative, and distracts from the content.
Tell that to them, they call themselves Indians.
I grew up amongst you. I know. Sorry buddy, you can't bullshit me.
Then why do so many of you use the word?
+Tallmanmike Some don't care but some get really annoyed by it..
Tallmanmike Native American* disrespecting lil bitch
Thank you for sharing this interview. Chief Dan explains alot as to what really is going on with the skin walkers. I now understand it is something I do NOT wish to get involved in.
...i love listening to Chief Dan's stories and paranormal information..it's good stuff..thanks J.C.!
I have Navajo in my family, they will not talk about any of this, it's forbidden.
Why do you think he is talking to this waseitchew?
I've never seen a skinwalker but being out at my grandma's at night is pretty creepy. One night my sister, her husband and kids were sleeping in 1 room. They heard someone knock loudly on the window and it woke up my sister and her husband, and my brother in law ran outside to where their bedroom window is and there was no one out there, no footprints. My brother in law tries to be logical and say it could be the dog's tail wagging against the wall, but it was freaky nonetheless.

Interesting idea about original walkers spying on camps of invaders. Very thought provoking.
This sounds.supernatural, I respect my native brothers and will just take note and file this one away.
Careful giving all this information.
was thinking the same thing
Can't he explain it? I mean non native folks do bump into those creatures too.
calm down your not the chief he is
Uh No! I need to know and be scared outta my mind when I go out into the wilderness!
I know first-hand where one of these meetings takes place... And no I'm most definitely not with them.
Dear JC Johnson,
At 22.21 , you describe about Dog-men (Cyanocephalus). Whats say?
I like the vibe of the video both of these men seem excited and scared of searching for ultimate truths
And the chemistry between them feels nice and warm
I love that Native American music in the background . So beautiful .
The older i get, the younger these elders are starting to look😎👍👌✌
Now that's something in common with the transformation into a Wendigo. 4:04
That correlation adds legitimacy to BOTH phenomenons in my opinion. Very interesting.
I very much enjoyed watching this interview. Thank you for sharing.
I find this video a priceless piece of Native Ameican information about these entity's. thanks for sharing this Sir. This is a mystery that intrigues, yet frightens many of us. In searching for personal wisdom of unknown/crytid entity's
some people see them... some never will. as native people we believe strongly in spirit world. we are one with the earth. I have never see this nor do I want to cause it brings bad news.
@Gamahea Games™ Best to you regardless though. May your path be full of endless fruit and wisdom.
@Gamahea Games™ Ego. Is not a shamanic or magickal trait friend. Ill gladly keep the stories of my ancestors and people. Just as you should.

Brother we both know it's very real. I'm a strong child of God. My gift is discernment. Spiritual discernment. I deal with spirits. Some good and some wicked. Be safe. I'll be praying for you.
thank you for the amazing video. lately me n my mother have been dealing with something strange in the neighborhood. theres scratch marks on the fence and i think i still have pictures of the tracks it left behind. we believe its a skinwalker due to what ive described to a friend of mine and what weve researched. what I saw was a large dog/huminoid thing with long arms and a flat ish face, with yellow eyes peering at us over the fence afew houses down at about 3am.
Background music is giving a mysterious ambience to this conversation.
Mike G. Sounds like he was into witchcraft and now in hell, probably being tortured by those same demons.
@@Jv9569 hell was in invented by the church... And there were many other big civilizations and religions before it. Why would someone have to eternally suffer in the afterdeath because he would do something humans have been doing since we exist?
