Huge tumor on my heart, Mediastinal Teratoma. The beginning of my story

  • This is how it my story starts. In January 2023 I nearly died from a tumor on my heart and didn't even know it. It was discovered by a pure miracle that I had a huge (6"x5.5"x4" x 2+lb) Tumor wrapped around my heart, esophagus, lungs, etc..
I just want to say THANK YOU, to Everyone who has taken time to follow this, watching / commenting / subscribing hearing my story. It means the world to me. I hope that something in my experience, can help someone else one day.
While I've never been the type to ask for, or gladly accept help, I've learned recently that it's larger than me. I'm denying a blessing to those who donchoose to help, as their act of kindness is smiled upon by God. So, For those asking, I've created a donation site here:
    givesendgo.com...
If that's something you decide to do, I pray God return the favor to you many times over! It is VERY much appreciated, and certainly goes to good use in assistance with the massive cost of 3 surgeries and a month in the hospital, a week plus in ICU, cost of recovery, etc.. God bless.
Please let me know if there's something you'd like to know, questions you have, etc.. I'd love to answer questions, but hear your stories as well!
    Thank you all, God bless!

Very true. I never in a million years would have expected anything like this. Totally random. I've gotten a bit beefy over past few months. Hoping I can eat a little cleaner and maybe get a little more active if pain lessens so I can get back to a better weight. Ugh, feeling bloated and puffy lol

I see this courage and spiritual awakening every day in the ICU , it’s a journey you make with your family and sometimes by yourself . But always with the staff and Dr,s as we are well trained as excellent listeners ( because we’ve seen so much in our careers) ! And you will continue to be challenged, but with shear fighting spirit and tenacity you my friend will prevail ! Be good to yourself as you are worth it !!

Thank God for you people. Sure, some can be less than thrilled with their job. But I will say the majority of nurses I had, especially in ICU were wonderful and I miss them quite a bit, and think of them often. It's got to be mentally very very challenging to go into that environment everyday. I saw my fair share of patients that were less than pleasant for nurses.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I appreciated your raw documentation of the time in the ICU. It’s such a sensitive, traumatizing situation and I’m still processing it 7 years after my cancer surgery. Medication, pain, fear, the noises, unbelievable strong emotions, the feeling of being naked and wounded while traveling through different states in mind can hit hard. I wish I had better psychological support during that time. My morphine pump (don’t know how it’s called in English) slipped out of my spine one day after surgery and I thought I died from pain. It took the nurses one hour to find out why I’m in such pain. They thought I’m overreacting… then I developed a syndrom (don’t know the English term), where I thought the nurses and doctors are evil and want to hurt me. I texted pages of „ suspicious behavior“ in my phone (it doesn’t make sense at all today). I felt haunted and nobody ever talked about it in the hospital. I went to a psychiatrist months after the ICU and learned what happened to me. I’m happy that you are okay, sending best wishes from Germany 🫶🏻

Gluten Tag! The mental stuff is the real deal. And people that haven't experienced it just simply don't understand. Thank God you're here to talk about it these many years later, but I certainly sympathize and understand what you're saying. I never had delusions of the staff trying hurt me, or cause me harm, but I had some other very wild things happen inside my mind. Your experience is very common in the ICU from what I gather, they call it ICU psychosis (in layman's terms) here in the states. The morphine pump helped, but t only because of a huge cocktail of other meds and having an epidural nerve block put in my spine a day or so after waking up from my biggest surgery where they removed the tumor. Your story feels so familiar like it is my own. Know you are not alone. Haben einen gesegneten tag! Sorry if I butchered that. I'd love to know more of my mother tongue but admittedly my brain doesn't seem to grasp it too well!

@@Teratoma-T not butchered at all! Thank you for your emphatic words. We aren’t alone, that’s very true. Let’s enjoy every second of every day, it’s such a gift. And I’m sure you’re experiencing the same: after going through this stuff, you really know what’s important in life. From that perspective I am thankful for the hell we went through. It’s so needless to spend thoughts on what others think, what car to drive, how to cover a pimple and so on😂. Just enjoy life with the loved ones and do what makes you happy. All the best for you and your family

Thank you! No, not a cancer in traditional sense, these are usually benign. However, the patch left inside on my heart will be monitored closely for the remainder of my life. And thus far, there is still some concern / possibility of new growth on my lung. I've broken the mold so to speak this entire experience, so I'm not totally sold on what "should or should not happen" just yet. Thank you for watching!

Thank you, so very kind. And yes, I plan to. It does take quite some time to put these together, especially considering I need to make about 4x the film you see here to put it all together. I never enjoyed public speaking or being the speaker, unless with a group I'm very familiar and comfortable with. Lol. So it is rather tough still to overcome the nervousness and out my thoughts somewhat together. But I do believe it's necessary, kind of comanded to me, and hopefully helpful or insightful to someone one day.
Maybe I'll just try to envision I'm just speaking to all of you regular commentors here. I've tried to write back to each and every one of you and have become familiar with several of you 😄.
Thank you for watching, writing to me. It truly does mean the world to me. Take care, God bless!

    Hi,
I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably.
I would like to share the diet with you.
    The soup
Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat.
Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready.
I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
(Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.)
During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you.
I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed completely. Amen.
    Best regards
    Chris

Amen, thank you so kindly to take the time to share all of this. I have heard wonders of adding tumeric into diet. And Amen to nutritional natural foods. Here in the U.S. too many of our "Natural or Organic" foods are still genetically modified or "messed with" by humans in some way. Combine this with the fake sugars and very acidic foods + growing daily evidence of the ill effects of so called vaccines and big pharma drugs.... I say it's no wonder there are new cancera every day. I won't know until mid January if my "new growth" is still enlarging, or has stopped. We shall see, butt I know that it's all in God's will. So with this, I accept whatever it may be.
My tumor bits that were sent to the lab had tested to be benign, so it could simply be scar tissue, again; God's will. Many blessings to you for the kind words and taking such time to write. I hope all is well in South Africa! God bless!

    • @Teratoma-T
      @Teratoma-T  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Nope.... It's somewhat totally unknown because they're rather rare. But in men and women (they have it a bit easier than this usually attached to ovaries) it's believed to be a growth that is present since birth. Usually people's discovery is similar to mine, and is found usually in 20's to early 30's

I am a brain tumor survivor and for me it’s more about the need for emotional/psychological follow up that I needed to understand what I had just been through. There is a trauma there that is not addressed in the aftermath. I still have flashbacks about the whole experience.

    • @Teratoma-T
      @Teratoma-T  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Amen to that. Glad you made it through that. And you're right, mentally there's so many challenges and horrors to overcome. 9 months later I still have nightmares almost ecru single night, random emotions, confusion, you name it... I wish there were support systems in place to help with that, that were automatic afterwards. No different than pain management, or physical rehab. Because no doubt about it, that's certainly been a huge part of my life, that I know had effected not just myself but also family, coworkers, etc... as it's sometimes like I'm not the range person for periods of time. And the mental game absolutely effects physical world.
I hope you've found something / someone to help and you're getting it behind you.

@angelatollison5103 that's amazing and rare. I've never been the lucky, blessed type. I never really had a spiritual encounter myself, until a few days after my first surgery. Late at night I lay in bed, can't sleep from too much pain, hit the button, no nurse.... writhing in pain. I feel this presence, like a giant hand, wash over me and it brings a certain stillness to me. Allowing me to relax and hurt a little less until my nurse could assist. It was amazing. I've never experienced anything else like it.
