- The year is 3020, the old civilization has passed. The world is no longer in need of the omnipotent deities which once ruled it causing many gods to die out as they their believers’ faiths slowly faded away. Two of the few remaining deities, Tipu and Nui, takes the higher gods’ resignations as an opportunity take a trip across the new world, causing chaos alongside harmless fun as they go.

@@tothebeyond6318 well i mean the lore is shown figuratively and literaly throughout multiple animations. People in the comments are trying to peice it together as im guessing. Zem is purposely not letting us know the full story so we can peice it together. This is just a guess though. The only person who really knows what is gully going on is Zem and whoever they decide to tell.

It's good. I don’t understand why many people think Tipu is dead only because his statue is shown. But still these theories are really good, and many of them are really possible. It is interesting to see how people try to understand this clip by analyzing every moment and every word. I honestly tried and somewhere among these comments there is mine with my version. I have never watched every moment of a clip for so long to find any clue.

Well I do! But my interpretation really isn’t very supported but it’s so wholesome so I’m gonna say it anyway.
So at this time major deities are fading away left and right. As Tupi and Nui anxiously watch the changing world, they both have one last desire before they fade away.
So they go on a road trip because the thing they want most is to spend time with eachother. As they grow closer then they were ever allowed to before. Both unable to admit their feelings, begin to secretly believe in and semi worship eachother. Thier faith in eachother ensuring the pair can enjoy eachothers company a little while longer

In the Wonderland meme, we say Tipu's smoking jar thing, and in this one, we can see the smoke go out which might be symbolic of faith of Tipu going away, and in the end shot, when we see Nui place a plate of 3 moon cakes in front of Tipu's shrine, the very last part of it shows the smoke of the stem pipe still there, signifying a re-kindling of faith in Tipu, even if it is just one person. This means having faith in eachother could keep both alive, which is very sweet! (PS, awww, that ending was super sweet with the "I still believe in you."!)

ok so my theory is that Tipu was once a really strong god and he had tons of followers, but at some point he started hating them because they only wanted his power so, enraged, he decides to kill them all. Once this is done, however, Tipu doesn't have long to live because nobody believes in him anymore. So he lays down in a field of flowers to finally rest, far away from the humans he's come to despise. (all this is based on the Wonderland meme btw). He doesn't get to, though, because Nui finds him lying there and decides to take Tipu with him on a trip around the world. (the start of the video, where we see a temple seemingly dedicated to a tiger (Tipu) getting farther away and the doors closing symbolizes him leaving that place) They then hitch a ride a merchant's car (0:11) and go from town to town, observing humans, exploring, and just having fun. Tipu is nervous at first (0:05, 0:09) but grows to enjoy Nui's friendship (and maybe smth more but im not sure) throughout their journey. However, in the end, we see Nui bringing offerings to the golden statue of a tiger (the representation of Tipu) and the words "I still believe in you" flash across the screen. I think this means that Tipu ran out of time and, without any followers left to keep his legend living, died. I think Nui is the one saying "I still believed in you" as almost a wish that he would be enough to bring Tipu back. He himself is a god though, so it doesn't work.
also Zemyata plz stop killing all my favorite characters my heart can't take this much longer
EDIT: ok so: apparently Zemyata already said that Tipu isn't dead (tysm btw) so I think instead of Tipu being dead because his only follower is Nui (who i thought didn't count because he was a god), maybe instead Nui is indeed Tipu's only follower and so he is the one keeping him alive. He might have to go to Tipu's shrine with offerings and such every so often and say "I still believe in you" as a way to keep Tipu alive.

At first I thought he wouldn't count cause he's also a god but I now that I think about it I don't see why not. Does that theory work better?

Love at first sight it what you feel when you watch a zemyata animation. I really appreciate all the little extra stuff you put in your animations cause you can rewatch it again and again to get new stuff you notice. I never say to this to just anyone ever, but your literally my fav animator and artist. When I see your name I can immediately see your art style in my head and can name off the top of my head what sets you apart from others. Looking forward to rewatching this a few times and adding these extra things to my next D&D episode, my players are excited to interact with the fox deity.

Well, i might be wrong but... Is there a meaning behind this two godly beings exploring the world of mortals? There's an asl that meant 'faith' and in the last sec of the video, there is 'i still believe in you'. Maybe it indicates that this two gods still believe in humans. Like, they had faith humans had a good side after all so they are worthy to be kept alive for a little longer. But thats just my theory hahah

Hm, there is a chance that Nui is the one dragging Tipu around to have fun in the world of humans. Like trying to show their good side. He seems more familiar with humanly things while Tipu is like a curious lil cat.

@@LichenJuice I thought that for a second as well, because right before that scene you see Tipu's incense go out and the flower dies, then Tipu looks shocked. However, at the very end when Nui gives the offering and the line "I still believe in you" pops up there is a burning incense stick, meaning that even if Tipu did die, it is Nui's believe that is keeping them alive.

Ever since Tipu (tiger boi) killed his believers, people started to stop believing in god, making them slowly fade away...
Nui (fox boi) I'm guessing the nine tail fox god wanted Tipu to forget about what his believers did to him so he decided to take him to a road trip before they both disappeared. They had a lot of fun and even cause some chaos. Tipu saw the good side of humanity and was happy. Slowly gods started to fade away due to no one believing them anymore but Tipu and Nui haven't disappeared yet.
I'm guessing Nui leaves offerings to Tipu's tiger statue thingy because he still believes in him and I'm guessing Tipu does the same as well making them despite no more believers still here cause both of them believe in each other
that's just my side of the stories and sorry if I mess up with the writing

Your animations remind me of Studio Ghibili. With how detailed every animation, minute, second and frame are it’s impossible not to rewatch or even binge your videos for hours on end. I don't know. The art styles are two different for me to compare them. They have a lot more detail than this creator, and of course their animations are smoother but then again they've been around for a good 40, maybe 50 years so It ain't anything big

The attention to detail, especially in those backgrounds that most animators would just leave blank or cover with patterns... that's amazing. It sets a setting that really tells a story, unlike memes that only show off the art and animation. I really love and respect this style.
