I find it interesting that the Clown has rounded corners and the man has pointed ones, which line up with the fact that the man is the only one who hurt anyone and the clown was rather merciful in comparison (points and triangles are usually associated with danger and rounded designs are seen as friendly)
Unless you are talking about road signs, in which case, the less angles, the more dangerous, leading down to the no angled circle, such as a railroad crossing, which are dangerous if not heeded. I really like how for James you used pointy and straight lineart, and for Miles you used more round curvy lineart. It really helps their design stand out even more from eachother and just another part that makes this fun to watch! 🤡

Wow... This is frickin amazing! Everything from the animation, the characters, and the ability to tell a complete story in a minute and 23 seconds. I love this. Also, you did something not very many people can do. You made a clown look way better than a regular person.
I like how Miles’ eyes gradually appear because it’s to show how J doesn’t really think too much of a friend but the more the memory of him killing him brings up, it’s to show the eyes of his victim.
How I see this: The white haired dude betrayed his companion in their business plan, and he probably became corrupt and made a scheme out of everything, excluding the friend. The friend finds the files, and confronts the protagonist; because of the corruption and greed, the white haired dude shoots his colleague. As the years go by, he starts seeing him and feels guilt and judgement. The illusions of his seeing his old friend lead to the white-haired dude turning himself in.
I would love to see more of this story line! The characters colour palette fit so well to the theme making it pleasing to the eye and the characters themselves are just brilliant. The plot is very interesting to look into and the animation is smooth and well made. I loved the video, keep up the good work!
To be honest my look on it is that what if the rich man possibly was a hitman? We saw X's on the "documents" of the papers his friend held, and he looked distressed about it. Maybe that's how he got rich in the first place. For the clown part I believe that his soul craved vengeance to make the rich man feel like a fool killing him from knowing his secret, and possibly connected to his childhood past. Who knows. 🤷♂️
Did anyone notice the design choices? (S)Miles design is round and curvy, even his shoes,hair and eyes. While JJames is pointy and sorta like triangles. JJames costume is mostly white while (S)Miles is mostly read. Heck even their noses are different. The animator did so great with the designs and I love how they made them different but alike at the same time. Good job! Edit: And I just noticed that their heads are different too!? This is getting better and better.
Like it’s realistic since normally people wouldnt have the same nose, head, hair etc. But a lot of artists do it since it takes less time and it’s way easier.

This is so good! From all the little details with the character’s designs (the clown on the guys cup during the flashback, the bandaged where the gun shot wound is, the use of shape theory with the white haired guy having sharp edges vs the red head having round edges) to the matched music beats with body movements, to the storytelling! A true masterpiece

I love the indirect characterization here. The white haired man placed the case of money down, but picked it up again when he noticed the clown. He clutches it so closely to him even as he's being attacked (0:22). After the clown destroys his desk, he still looks for the case as soon as he realizes it's missing ( 0:27) The clown steps on it, demanding that the attention be averted to him. Even when being chased by a ghost, his first priority is money. It really goes to show how greedy this man is

*Personal Headcanon:* In my head, I gave this animation its own larger backstory. It already sorta has one, but I added a little more detail to make it make more sense in my head. So, Miles and JJames were coworkers and worked for a company. Then, a higher position (unspecified) opened up, and both Miles and JJames were competing for the promotion. When JJames went to his superiors to give them a status report, he overheard a conversation between them. The superiors had decided that Miles was a better candidate for the promotion as he seemed more invested in being a good employee over money and fame. They would announce the news the next day. Enraged, JJames leaves without a word and drives home, where he gets a gun. He drives back to the building quickly. JJames storms into the building once again and goes up to where he knows Miles is, still sorting out paperwork (like the good employee he is!) Miles can see the look on JJames' face and immediately suspects what has happened. Not shown on screen, JJames seethes and has a breakdown, asking, "I've given the best years of my life to this place and they're just gonna pass me up on a promotion like that? Like trash? I don't think so." Miles backs away, still clutching the paperwork to his chest in fear. Chuckling drily, JJames says, "You took the path that was made for you, friend." Knees weak and with heavy arms, Miles cowers as JJames whips out a gun. Blinded by fury and hatred for his coworker, JJames shoots Miles in the head. Not remorsing or thinking about the consequences of his actions, JJames hastily hides Miles' body (unspecified location). JJames leaves a resignation note 'by Miles' at his superior's desk, wipes his brow, and clocks out for the day. The next day at work, JJames is begrudgingly given the promotion, and slowly rises to fame and fortune, forgetting Miles...but Miles isn't completely gone. Miles (or, S-Miles) comes back as a killer clown, a representation of JJames' shameful actions. However, Miles is a good person, but cannot be laid to rest until the wrongs have been righted. He does not kill JJames but puts him in some sort of penitentiary before finally being at peace. Anywho anyshoe, I doubt anyone read this but at the bychance someone did, thanks for readin'! Quite fun to come up with. I love this animation, phenomenal work too! Oooo that's a cool interpretation as for me it seemed more like they were friends and sort of coworkers later and Miles finds that JJameson has been doing some pretty shady shit. So Miles tries to talk him out of it saying that he dosen't need to do all this stuff for fame and money and he can rework his ways but JJames loves the thrill of luxury and money and fame too much so he begrudgingly it seems kills off Miles to keep what he does a secret. I think JJames really saw Miles as a friends and so did Miles but well we know how that avenue ended. We see throughout the video that JJames seemed regretful about what he did to Miles and dosen't show any anger to Miles in his clown version. Only terror and sadness. Miles came back like as a ghost to haunt him or it could be JJames subconscious guilt eating him up.
Oh, damn that's really good! To me, it seemed like Miles and James had been good friends for a while. It seemed like they were work partners, and were doing something shady to get more money. Miles didn't know what they were doing was illegal, so when he finds out due to paperwork accidentally left out on James' desk, he gets upset. James, not wanting to be thrown in jail by the police, decides to silence Miles, shooting him in the head. He buries the body, and keeps gaining money and fame, soon forgetting about Miles and what he had done to him. Miles, who was enraged by James' betrayal uses that rage to come back as a clown, something he liked as seen on the mug in the flashback. He doesn't want to do the horrible thing that was done to him (Killing James), so instead dresses him up like a clown to signify how Miles now sees him, a fool. He then gets his revenge by throwing James in jail, where he belongs. I don't know though, that was just my take on it, lol.

How I see this:
The white haired dude betrayed his companion in their business plan, and he probably became corrupt and made a scheme out of everything, excluding the friend. The friend finds the files, and confronts the protagonist; because of the corruption and greed, the white haired dude shoots his colleague. As the years go by, he starts seeing him and feels guilt and judgement. The illusions of his seeing his old friend lead to the white-haired dude turning himself in.

I would love to see more of this story line! The characters colour palette fit so well to the theme making it pleasing to the eye and the characters themselves are just brilliant. The plot is very interesting to look into and the animation is smooth and well made.

To be honest my look on it is that what if the rich man possibly was a hitman? We saw X's on the "documents" of the papers his friend held, and he looked distressed about it. Maybe that's how he got rich in the first place.
For the clown part I believe that his soul craved vengeance to make the rich man feel like a fool killing him from knowing his secret, and possibly connected to his childhood past. Who knows. 🤷♂️
Did anyone notice the design choices? (S)Miles design is round and curvy, even his shoes,hair and eyes. While JJames is pointy and sorta like triangles. JJames costume is mostly white while (S)Miles is mostly read. Heck even their noses are different. The animator did so great with the designs and I love how they made them different but alike at the same time. Good job!
Edit: And I just noticed that their heads are different too!? This is getting better and better.
Like it’s realistic since normally people wouldnt have the same nose, head, hair etc. But a lot of artists do it since it takes less time and it’s way easier.

This is so good! From all the little details with the character’s designs (the clown on the guys cup during the flashback, the bandaged where the gun shot wound is, the use of shape theory with the white haired guy having sharp edges vs the red head having round edges) to the matched music beats with body movements, to the storytelling! A true masterpiece
Also white hairs flower and spotted tie can portray he's kinda nuts and out of touch
The over detail for his design compared to the world can also show that

I love the indirect characterization here. The white haired man placed the case of money down, but picked it up again when he noticed the clown. He clutches it so closely to him even as he's being attacked (0:22). After the clown destroys his desk, he still looks for the case as soon as he realizes it's missing ( 0:27) The clown steps on it, demanding that the attention be averted to him. Even when being chased by a ghost, his first priority is money. It really goes to show how greedy this man is

*Personal Headcanon:*
In my head, I gave this animation its own larger backstory. It already sorta has one, but I added a little more detail to make it make more sense in my head. So, Miles and JJames were coworkers and worked for a company. Then, a higher position (unspecified) opened up, and both Miles and JJames were competing for the promotion. When JJames went to his superiors to give them a status report, he overheard a conversation between them. The superiors had decided that Miles was a better candidate for the promotion as he seemed more invested in being a good employee over money and fame. They would announce the news the next day. Enraged, JJames leaves without a word and drives home, where he gets a gun. He drives back to the building quickly. JJames storms into the building once again and goes up to where he knows Miles is, still sorting out paperwork (like the good employee he is!) Miles can see the look on JJames' face and immediately suspects what has happened. Not shown on screen, JJames seethes and has a breakdown, asking, "I've given the best years of my life to this place and they're just gonna pass me up on a promotion like that? Like trash? I don't think so." Miles backs away, still clutching the paperwork to his chest in fear. Chuckling drily, JJames says, "You took the path that was made for you, friend." Knees weak and with heavy arms, Miles cowers as JJames whips out a gun. Blinded by fury and hatred for his coworker, JJames shoots Miles in the head. Not remorsing or thinking about the consequences of his actions, JJames hastily hides Miles' body (unspecified location). JJames leaves a resignation note 'by Miles' at his superior's desk, wipes his brow, and clocks out for the day. The next day at work, JJames is begrudgingly given the promotion, and slowly rises to fame and fortune, forgetting Miles...but Miles isn't completely gone. Miles (or, S-Miles) comes back as a killer clown, a representation of JJames' shameful actions. However, Miles is a good person, but cannot be laid to rest until the wrongs have been righted. He does not kill JJames but puts him in some sort of penitentiary before finally being at peace.
Anywho anyshoe, I doubt anyone read this but at the bychance someone did, thanks for readin'! Quite fun to come up with. I love this animation, phenomenal work too! Okay bye ;-;

Oooo that's a cool interpretation as for me it seemed more like they were friends and sort of coworkers later and Miles finds that JJameson has been doing some pretty shady shit. So Miles tries to talk him out of it saying that he dosen't need to do all this stuff for fame and money and he can rework his ways but JJames loves the thrill of luxury and money and fame too much so he begrudgingly it seems kills off Miles to keep what he does a secret. I think JJames really saw Miles as a friends and so did Miles but well we know how that avenue ended. We see throughout the video that JJames seemed regretful about what he did to Miles and dosen't show any anger to Miles in his clown version. Only terror and sadness. Miles came back like as a ghost to haunt him or it could be JJames subconscious guilt eating him up.

Oh, damn that's really good! To me, it seemed like Miles and James had been good friends for a while. It seemed like they were work partners, and were doing something shady to get more money. Miles didn't know what they were doing was illegal, so when he finds out due to paperwork accidentally left out on James' desk, he gets upset. James, not wanting to be thrown in jail by the police, decides to silence Miles, shooting him in the head. He buries the body, and keeps gaining money and fame, soon forgetting about Miles and what he had done to him. Miles, who was enraged by James' betrayal uses that rage to come back as a clown, something he liked as seen on the mug in the flashback. He doesn't want to do the horrible thing that was done to him (Killing James), so instead dresses him up like a clown to signify how Miles now sees him, a fool. He then gets his revenge by throwing James in jail, where he belongs. I don't know though, that was just my take on it, lol.
