LPT for dealing with stripped screws like this one had for the RAM access: Get a rubber band and lay it over the screw, then jam in your screwdriver. You'll be surprised how well it works. The rubber will compress where it needs to, fill the gaps your screwdriver can't, and because it's rubber, it'll pretty much stick in place.
iMacs have a great feature that stops you from gaming on it for prolonged periods. You can see a reflection of yourself in the screen that makes you rethink the life choices you made that led you to this point and you stop

To open a stripped screw you take flat head screwdriver and hammer it in to the screw. Works perfectly on screws stuck on walls but pc/mac work it might have one or two downsides.
That method could work, however, you don't want to damage your entire machine by inverting the thing and then hammering away at it. All of your components, ESPECIALLY your screen would be in danger. Better solution would be a stripped screw removal kit from the local hardware store used in a low powered drill. Take your time with it and it will open up.
