Wonderful game so far, I'm at the 5 min mark. Ganes like this are exactly why I run both draco and blinkmoth nexus with the full suite of top deck manipulation in my yuriko cedh list.
Higher piloted like a boss. Props to you guys for slugging it out for 2 hours. I would love to see some more polished yuriko play, she deserves better ❤️

@20:25 i know it was a looong game, but that mana cant be used flash in yuriko since he activated in the declare attackers and for ninjutsu to work it has to be unblocked which is next phase.
Granted the only game effect that changed was seeing one card more than should have been. As the mana was only used for top and spectral sailor, but it was out of sequence.
I am no longer sad about missing a week for a podcast, what an absolute banger! This is the kind of game I would show someone who doesn't understand why people would play cEDH xD

The game kinda shows my personal 1 problem i have with the Mid Power Kinnan. How bad at short cutting it is, and how long it takes to finish, ive often had it like this with like 3 turn cycles to accrue smth to win with. Which plays kinda like a stax deck in that regard. Which is only a problem because i compare it to the basalt Kinnan version, which "slams 1 card and says can i win", like typical combo lists. Hoenstly i dont really know where i´m going with this comment :D i forgot why i wanted to type this. Smth about hwo my personal perception affects my enjoyment of this build i guess? Also kinda wanna add peregrine deck to the midrangey version again after this video.

So why wasn't swords used on seedborn or Void before the end of Scott's turn? Think it would have made this turn out severely different. But two hours long for competitive play. I think alot more gets missed lol. Great game guys!
I freaking love yuriko so much I am creating a cedh binder for her that I can switch in and out between thematic ninjas tribal go for flips or cedh stupidity and it’s so much fun because my shop runs edh tournaments on one day and open play on the other so I get to use both sides (even tho yuriko is stupid even in low power lol)
Beg to differ. One of my good friends plays Kinnan and the deck works on making massive amounts of mana then landing haymakers that are too expensive for other cEDH decks to play. It grinds with the best of decks and can hang in any cEDH pod because it still has tons of interaction
Highly disagree with this comment. I have a Kinnan CEDH deck that runs similar creatures to Higher's list and it dominates more games than most would expect. Kinnan can produce obscene amounts of mana that most CEDH decks can't compete with so it can afford to run the big haymakers. I've been able to activate Kinnan turn 2 for Void Winnower, Nyxbloom, Sphinx etc.

Answering my own question- so ninjitsu just requires them to be unblocked so I now understand. I was confusing it with Yuriko’s ability.

I dont think grafdiggers cage stops Gitrog Wincon. Like it doesnt effect the dredge mechanic or the titan. Am I mistaken? Not that its bad against him
