EVOKE IS AN ABILITY THAT WOULD GO AWAY IF THAT CREATURE LOST ALL ITS ABILITIES, even after the evoke cost was paid. aka endurance should not be sacrificed. I was wrong

@@Ulim151 kraum was a vehicle at that time so the draw is fine, due to the swift reconfiguration on it

You wouldn't sac an evoked creature with Dress Down in play; that sacrifice is not tied to the cast, it's a separate ability that says "When this permanent enters the battlefield, if its evoke cost was paid, its controller sacrifices it.” and with DD in play that ability doesn't exist.

@@ChildrenOfOwls if dress down is in play ragavan would lose the haste from the dash but would go back to hand at the end of turn because its a delayed trigger from the dash cost

That three-turn fish avoidance was just hilarious, although I do wonder why Dylan didn't play that Mana Crypt on turn 4. He had 4 lands and could've paid for the fish.
As stated by another comment, Evokes are ETB triggers so you can do some cheeky things with evoke costs. For example, phasing it out will prevent it from getting sacced. I think flicker effects can also work because it would be treated as a new instance of the card.

Cam could have cast Noxious Revival targeting Fierce Guardianship then activate Thrasios, drawing Fierce to counter the Dress Down instead of blind activating Thras again

Still making my way through, but at 3:35 Dylan doesn't actually pay any blue mana to cast Kraum! The Underground Sea doesn't get used in the rest of the turn cycle, but it allowed Dylan to hold up a blue and threaten interaction

That's how the first few rounds *should look* when players around the table are responsible. There is no need to rush a boardstate if no one is rushing a boardstate.

Swift reconfiguration counts for dockside but because of it Kraum is also an artifact so dockside makes an extra treasure (about 16:04 in)

Fun fact, if Dylan would mystical, Nate would oppo and Dylan would cast vamp afterwards, he would do vamp tutor, oppo resolves, mystical resolves and he shuffles his library after his opponent finding whatever he wants with mystical.

I have recently been playing with savage summoming in thrasios tymna and while it seems like a dead card most times, the amount of times an uncounterable thoracle or even flashing in a phantasmal image on somsone else's thoracle hits to win under someone is much worth the slot in my 99. Not sure how you guys feel about it, curious what tyler thinks of savage summoning.

THIS is WHY we DO NOT FEED THE FISH. Nate was effectively *out of the game* after paying *6 mana* for literally no benefit. The other players still managed to establish their board (with creatures), and set Nate back so badly. Always pay your taxes people.

I know 4 to 5 color command(s) are the meta in cEDH but I’m curious to know cam Dylan and Tylers opinion on single color commanders and do you think the OG Azami Lady of scrolls have a chance in this meta asking because I just build my first high power deck and she’s the way I went although I’m just collecting all the colors for blue farm as I watch and get better because of you guys thanks. Any and everyone please answer if you can 😂

Hi guys. I have a question because I don't understand cEDH that much. Dylan played Final Fortune and his plan was to win next turn. He played Intuition. If there weren't any answers what was Dylan's plan? Cameron had Ranger Captain on the board that he would probably crack during Dylan's next upkeep.

At 10:58 I wonder why didn’t Cam when he got the Revival off of Thrasios why didn’t he pay two life and put that Fierce Guardianship back on top and then draw the Fierce Guardianship to counter the Dress down?
Eldritch sacrificing bruse lets Cam get Emiel for the win there I think. At least gives him more options while he’s searching. Another great vid.

That time walk/fish!!
It was only a time walk for the owner of Fish. The other 3 players were able to somewhat advance their boardstate while Nate put 100% of his mana into his fish for 0 cards. Was a great play for the board over all, usually you should only feed the fish if you think YOU can get gain more advantage from it than the others.

Hear me out, color fixing takes effort and time so having 4 decks getting stable feels like they all do the same until that explosive turn.
Being a Dihada main the struggle of having a smoother mana base vs "good stuff" is always a struggle
It would be cool to have the Decks being 2 Colors vs 4 Color
Can a 4 color deck keep up with faster and easier style decks....like honestly fuck Simic 😅 having to keep up with Nadu/Kinnen is the breaking point of a good "deck" to me

winning on turn 9 though. I feel this is an example of why you should just play a deck with aggressive attackers and interaction. My Adeline deck doesnt need 9 turns to kill everyone
My food chain can hit on turn 4 pretty easily..... It can swiftly pivot from a life drain....to non deterministic win with a thorical/tp combo win
idk where else to ask this sorry, i built the bloodpod deck from the video on this channel to start up with cedh and played a few games but the impression i got from a few people is that the deck is bad/too slow - is it very outdated now?
It’s still good, it’s just that cEDH is pretty midrange-y atm. It’s a deck you bring out when your playgroup is mainly on turbo decks.

It is still VERY powerful in the right pilots hands, but it certainly has fallen out of favor recently due to winota doing a similar thing and doing it arguably better. Or at least has a higher ceiling for explosively

Ok Mystic Tutor into Vamp tutor still wrecks the Vamp. Like Mystic -> Oppo -Vamp put the card on top, then Mystic resolves and wrecks everything.
Yes you are correct technically but I have a ton of draw engines in play and a hand full of spells so there are ways I can make it work
Shouldn't Nate have just cast the Oppo in response to the mystical tutor, since after the vampiric tutor found a card, mystic would resolve and shuffle the library anyways
I have interaction and draw engines in play that would trigger if my opponents responded. It’s not ideal, but there are ways to work around it
When dress down was on field, wouldn't kraums ability not work?
