It is true it seems complicated. But we played it, and boy. We have the most amazing 2 hours playing it. We have all 3 endings. Good, not so good, and bad. And was such a master piece
Quick clarification. Are you EVER supposed to share your clue cards with the rest of the team by actually showing them? Even if Mr Coral dies by setting off traps? After playing we thought it would make more sense to be able to show your cards when you’re part of the jury, to rule out if anyone is actually lying, but that was unclear. Thanks!
I was reading the rules last night, and one part confuses me, "Ask the table if the plot has been activated", but how? Like say that while Coral has taken damage, the bodyguard isn't the ringleader and the location isn't correct. How do the conspiracy members announce "Nah you're good" without revealing who they are? Do you just wait a minute or so?
We skip that part altogether as its pointless. If the plan has been activated the conspiracy members simply interrupt the table by announcing Mr coral is dead
I’m a bit confused about the process after Mr. Corral’s death. At 7:10, you say “All players must then vote.” Are the players voting three times? Once for weapon, ringleader, and location? What do we do if a vote fails? What happens if 5 minutes elapse with a decision being made?
Hi, they all vote for the 3 things at the same time: Who is the ringleader, the weapon and location. If the vote fails or five minutes elapse without the decision being made, the conspirators win.
Who is allowed to be the body guard and scout if the vote fails? Does it have to skip the people who were the bodyguard and scout chosen for the failed round or the round prior?
Hi! If the vote fails, the scout is the next player to the left that was not the bodyguard last round. For the bodyguard, it could be the same one again. Cheers
In 3:36 you said the all members of the chosen team and Coral will go to location. But it says in the rule book that the scout and bodyguard always accompany Coral. Please explain.
@@TabletopDuo so the bodyguard os automatically chosen to go to the location. But the scout wont go to the location unless they chose themselves. Correct? But then I also read that the scout gives supply to assist with the trap but does it mean regardless if they are in the location or not. Yes? Page 9 "team including the scout"
If we visit the plan's location, disarming the trap etc, while the other conditions are not fulfilled, how can we travel again there? Should the conspiracy then focus on killing Coral by the other means?
Hi. You have to avoid agreeing to the plans location if you know it cannot succeed. If that is not possible and the location is cleared, your focus should be on killing Coral by other means (traps or by dissagreeing on the group multiple times). Cheers!
So, the weapons are kind of irrelevant? Like as the ringleader, really the only way I can win is if I become the bodyguard and get Mr Coral to the room in my envelope?
When Mr. Coral does die from the traps, you still need to lead the Friends to the wrong weapons, places, and person, as they can still win the game with the Final Accusation and report the conspirators to the authorities.
What were the special rules for 4 players? I lost the rule book. Also if you can only have 3 cards at any one time, what do you do if you get handed a card and now your total cards in your hand is more than 3?
Hi, 4 Player rules: - To assign roles you use two friend, 1 accomplice and 1 ringleader. - During setup the accomplice should not open their eyes (they wont know who is their partner until the end of the game) - Maximum hand size is 4. - When disarming a bomb, the scout draws an extra supply card from the deck and add it to the pile before revealing the cards. - If a player was the scout in a round, they can be selected as bodyguard in the next. - A player cannot be the bodyguard two turns in a row. Now regarding the 3 cards, if you already have 3, you cannot get/be given cards.
@@TabletopDuo thanks for the quick reply. My issue is that at the end of the scout turn they pick up the number of cards based on the number of counters including Mr coral. If everyone has given 1 card, and you can't give a card to someone who's already has 3 cards, doesn't that mean you always have a spare card which can't be given to anyone.
If two people lie and say they both got the same murder weapon who ultimately gets the little token? Can you really lie in that sense? I'm the instructions it says either reveal or don't reveal information but unsure if you can't falsify it.
¡Gracias!
Is it the ringleaders responsibility to say if the plot has been activated? Because how does the rest of the table know if the bodyguard is the ringleader and if they’re in the location where he’s supposed to die?
I would say it should be the body guard’s responsibility actually. They know if they are the ringleader. And if they are, they know if it’s in the correct location
Hi, yes he still loose a life if you dont disarm it. Its safe as this cannot be the room that will activate the plot. Thats done to avoid people loosing on the first turn. Cheers!
