Found the cable run through the centre rather than the side to be easier

Thanks for this - I was looking for something like this before taking the brave pill - I have got to get a kit for both our F-Pace and XE although I will probably wait to see how you get in wth the wireless carplay adapter.

I have everything done, but can't figure out how to get the connector out of the 12v socket! It seems like the disconnect tab is on the bottom?
Just got new iPhone & with hands free legislation & ugly cables, finding your Channel suggests my planets are aligning.
Just bought the trim-removal tools.

25mins, my backside! The front bit is simple enough but I can't disconnect the 12v connector to plug this in and also am struggling to get the loom through to the back section. My hands are not small enough to get in there. Wish I hadn't started it. Not easy
An inspection mirror shows there is a tab on the underside that needs to be pushed in to release the plug
Yeah my hands arent small enough either. Spent a good 45 mins trying all manner of ways to get the plug out and eventually gave up and put it all back together. Looks like I'll be paying someone to do the install, or at least a box of beer to get that damn plug out
That looked easier than it probably was well done though ❤ I'm thinking about doing this to my 2020 xe so if any one would like to do this on a 2020 xe please do
Running the cable is not a problem at all. If I could figure out the 12v plug it would be a 20 min job.

Hi - great vid. Thx. How did you remove the USB Socket controller? Was it just push out with the plastic lever? I need to replace that unit as my SIM card no longer 'clicks' into position but just keeps popping out.
Yes, it just pops out with a plastic trim removal tool :)

Does the rear auxiliary still work once all is fitted or does it steal the power making it no longer work as a cigarette lighter port
I just installed one today. The rear port still works!
Hi does the carplay work through wireless chargers?
You can use a seperate box for the wireless car play. You won't get the car play through a wireless charger alone. I hope that helps
