For the multicannon build, I run an all multi one-all but one Overcharged with Incendiary. The remaining small one is corrosive. It shreds small to medium ships very quickly but if you hold the button too long, the ship will overheat. No problem. I just watch the temp meter and stop when the temp gets high. I wait until it does down to about 50 and fire again. I also have an all-frag build (regular ones-I was disappointed with the pacifiers so I sold them and stuck with the regular friags). For the all frags, I run 4 Class 3 Overcharged with Incendiary. One small one is Overcharged/Corrosive and the other is Overcharged/Drag Munitions. It eliminates Pirate Lords in Corvettes in less than 30 seconds. I run gimbals-since frags are used at close quarters, enemy chaff is irrelevant. I have found this build to kill Deadly Anacondas in Pirate Activity Detected Level 7 the fastest (less than a minute). The solution to the power plant issue is simple: Grade 5 Overcharged with Monstered special. You can run basically any build like this.
Prior to the Mandalay, I had and utilzed what's referred to now as the Python MKI not the II, in my taking of various assination mission's. Which I've now using the same basic loadout, have switched from the Python MKI to the Mandalay. After engineering it the same exact way. The Mandalay haveing a considerably better SCO interaction, a considerably better boost, and just plain faster over all. Take the assination mission's, get there, get in, do the job and get out before any of their associate's can lay a finger on me. But then I using only 4 turred engineered for long distance and overcharge as well as the two beam lazer, engineered the same. Have the ability to starting at six kilo's on their six, take out the sheild's before than can turn and close the distance they need meaning getting to the generally 3 to 3.5 when their weapon's become usefull. They blow up at or about some 4 k's. I don't wait for the graphic's, I do a right or left 90 away from any and all associate's they may have and simply boost some 525, times two and having a predertmine vector already ploted, jump to it. I realize the turret's do do less damage then a gimballed. But one has to take into consideration to the N-th degree their real abilities. Turret's when fired at someone's six, never miss and from some 7k away they do 100% of their total ability, at 6k, my lazer's kick in. When ever the most experienced pilot is mandated to use time to do a 180 to retailiate when they don't use turret's. My lazer's at 6k and cannon's starting at 7k with zero drop off. Generally destroy's them prior to their actually finishing a 180. But then I've only ever played in solo which mean's once one has learned how NPC fight which are not anywhere to the N-th degree the same as human's. My personable ability allow's me to take them out, and get out, with out so much as a scratch. Being able to to what I do at a distance, when NPC have to be considerably closer, gives me a considerably larger advantage. And even if the chase me, with the Mandalay having the boosting it has when engineered, can't come close to catching me. And alway's haveing a pre plotted place to go at the touch of a button. I'm gone in a couple of heart beat's. Unlike human's, they won't follow in you wake. As a human, I'm well aware of "HUMAN LOGIC" and in as much as it's totally illogical; Never play in OPEN. NPC's on the other hand, have only digital logic, once learning the math envolved in the use of their digit's. It's like catching fish in a rain barrel.
The music man I totally dig, when you're shooting the NPC's, what is that? It's soo good. I'm new to Elite, o7 commander. I just partially engineered my mining vessel for the first time the other day. What's wrong with overcharged powerplant? Is it thermal? Overheating is kind of a problem sometimes isn't it.
It's called Just Breathing (Instrumental version) by Neffex 😊. Yes, Overcharge sacrifices heat efficiency for more power capacity, so this will cause your temperatures to rise quicky when using mining lasers. Ideally you want the Low emissions blue print for the best cooling buff, or even Armoured has a slight cooling buff and a slight power output buff, You just need to make sure you have enough power to run everything. Heat Sinks can help with cooling off too.👍
@@eliteengineerdaz I can think of four hundred billion reasons why I wouldn't want overheating problems. Another CMDR says you don't want heat damage when you're exploring thousands of light years away from any repair station.
@knossos574 You can repair the ship yourself if you take the right equipment with you. The only thing that can't be repaired is the Power Plant. I always recommend 'Armoured' Blue Print for the PP for Exploration because I figure if I can't repair it out there then it needs to be robust. @@Pizzaguy2 in the video it's just in a Haz Res site collecting bounties. The ship will comfortably carry out any assassination missions solo except for the 'wing' type ones, the shields are a bit weak for that.
@@eliteengineerdaz well, for starters we blew up an entire thargoid mothership leaving only two active. I also have been watching your imperial cutter combat guide and it’s helped me so much so i just wanted to say thank you for making that video
It's not that simple. If I were to change all the shield boosters for Thermal Resistant, it would actually lower the Thermal shield pool along with everything else.

I hate the overcharged blue-print though. It's ok for PVE I suppose 😅
So glad to see you back. Hope you are doing good.

nice to see you back, I may try this one out. I'm not skilled enough to use Frags that well especially on small ships.
