How deep should be the bore for earth. My installers said Nepra has 5 ft requirement.

If I am not mistaken NEC and NFPA standards dictate common earthing not AC and DC earth separate. In case of Lightning discharge due to different potential gradient on ground, different earthing may result equipment damage or fire. What reason NEPRA give to have them separated. Please Explain.
