@alex B. the problem Kenya had was internal, tribes fighting each other while Somalias problem started from outside with siyad barre the military general he was allied with Russia communists then after along pressure from Arabs specially Saudi he changed camp by joining Americas camp then Russia while using Ethiopia communist to create warlords arm them to fight the Somali Government of siyad barre. With heavy Ethiopian support they 3 warlords from north,central and southern Somalia were able to topple the government then infighting Alshabab took advantage at long last now its Alshabab terrorist vs the government
