I am from the same city as Neset Ertas has born and lived, he is a folk singer and he won the hurt of the whole Turkish society. He is the man of simple sound but with deep meaning, every country needs that kind of musicians.

Neset Baba is a true legend. He is also a descendant from Muharrem Ertas who also has masterpieces of his own. Who was also the teacher of Neset. His Saz was a very different model than his sons was. Maybe 100 years old instrument. In the city Kirsehir in Central Anatolia statues of both of them can be seen.

He is sort of musician poet and he can spontaneously read poets and make immediate music for them. Those poet musicians love to compete each other. It is an old tradition

Regretfully we lost him couple of years ago. He was the master of “bozlak” and a real “abdal”. May his soul rest in peace but his music is still alive and remain alive for generations, I am sure.
