    • @sunch4352

I agree. To prevent erosion and preserve nature trees should have been planted in Manila de Bay like Palm Trees, Rubber trees, Century Trees, Macapuno tree with pre planning and assessment strategy in collaboration with Agricultural sector so preventive measures are made that these planted tress won't fall due to strong winds . I'm sure that site will be frequented if it is cultivated with plants and trees at the shore. Pinondohan na lang din naman eh di pagandahin na talaga.

Welcome to the Philippines! This is it. The real thing. You will now see how resilient and positive Filipinos are. After the typhoon, most of our neighbors, family and friends are joking about what happened. Some of them were stuck due to the flooding in their offices and in their homes. Yet, they are still laughing and joking around. Wow! What a people. Take care everyone and keep safe. God bless. God is good. He will always take care of us.

Always expect that every May - December because Philippines is beside Pacific Oceans, and Philippines is in the common path of a Very Strong Storms.
We alaways have those kind of seen.
Dont worry! That will happen Next Year and Next and Next and Next Year again because thats how we live here.
    It is usual for us.
Weve experience that since our birth here in the Philippines.
No worries, we can survive, just pray and well be ok.
All of that happened in the past already and we did it so we just need to pray!
    Keep Safe!😉

Don’t worry too much. By tomorrow, most of the debris will be cleared, and floodwaters will subside. Typhoons are a yearly occurrence, and most people here have adapted to them. These typhoons keep water reservoirs filled before summer starts. But we still need to adapt most of our houses to the typhoons, and drainage in most cities need to be improved. Appreciate the update especially about the dolomite beach.

I saw photos on fb about rizal bald mountains way back 2010. They should plant more fast growing ,absorbing trees to reduce floodings within the catch basin areas. And also to dredge marikina river or laguna de bay to have more spaces for rainwaters and most of all , those communities near the river should be warned to remove or relocate their houses far from flooding areas(its easy to say, but just hoping).

Nice update Mike, Nelly. Dont get me wrong, But I hope my kababayan could pause for awhile this update in Dolomite Sands. And start now to re-focus all attention on assisting those on immediate need. Like drinking water and first aid. We can also proceed to Red Cross and volunteer. SOmetimes Transportation and able bodied volunteers on repacking food, distribution can help.
