    Great review, I purchase this mic system and then another for backup. I love this mic for the sound and it's easy setup. I still have my Shure Beta 98, but this NUX B-6 is a game changer.

    Thanks for the review. Considering one of these. I was wondering if the settings for each sax type was legit or maybe a bit gimmicky, but found my answer when you changed the settings to each type while playing the alto. On alto settings, it of course sounded the way an alto should but when you switched it to tenor the sound of the alto darkened somewhat, much like a tenor. But it was on the soprano setting I noticed the biggest difference. The alto sounded buzzy/reedy. Yet when you played the appropriate instrument with its proper setting it enhanced the sound of the instrument. The soprano sounded beautiful.

    Hello. Thank you for sharing this video. Btw I think the red colour is for soprano and the yellow one is for tenor. I saw them from the user guide.

    Informative and comprehensive demo...many thanks. I actually have one and hardly used as I do prefer a microphone as I have total control over the tone. For Soprano, I tend to place the horn half way alongside the sm58 so to achieve a sweeter sound etc. However, you've spured me on to use it more now.
    Kindest regards.

    SEEMS TO BE HIGH QUALITY.
    The Only Thing that would be better

    Time goes by.

      That is probably the trade-off. What's the way it comes you won't need to worry about taking batteries out and putting them in. The downfall is once it's damaged it's non repairable. At this price range you probably want to get 2 years out of it to get the full value

    • @PavanSax
      @PavanSax  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Generally for recording you should use a wired microphone.That said, I found this to be pretty decent for recording. The microphone itself is excellent, and there could be a way to use it as a wired mic, using and extension cable.

      Indeed, this is a BIG problem if you use this mic on stage and if there are sequences without the sax ... very risky IMO as you have to restart both emitter and transmitter. Hope they will reconsider this in the future versions.

    Great review! So I bought one of these and I like it, but I have been burned TWICE on gigs with the battery in the transmitter crapping out mid-gig. The first time I discovered was the bad design flaw where you actually have to press the button on the case to actually get it to charge when it's plugged into USC-C. I didn't press that button. However, last weekend, it did the same thing, and I could swear I had it charging for hours after pressing the button, and the side case LEDS for the case-charging showed all four LEDs lit green. What could be going on? What do you do to make sure it doesn't crap out on you? Might I have a unit with a defective transmitter battery?

    • @PavanSax
      @PavanSax  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had an issue with the battery, and I've done gigs of 4-6 hours. But then I do charge it fully, and then switch off the transmitter and receiver between sets.

      I did a quick Google search and found a few places, although I don't know if they have them in stock:
