    I’m probably going to get a NU-X system. Very convenient, good sound, seems to be good quality for the price!

    I have a Shure SM98. I hardly ever use it because it takes me longer to setup and put away then my tenor. Wasn’t loud enough in really loud situations. A friend let me try his NU-X on a gig yesterday, so simple and the sound was as good as a Shure 57.

    I think the NUX mic is excellent so far. Another slight issue is that it switches itself off after 10 minutes or so without use. What I would love is a wireless in ear head set to match it in the same price point then I could play and roam!

      Yes you’re right it can time out. Probably to save battery. Ooo good suggestion. i’ll ask NUX about that!

    I bought the B6 about 1.5 years ago. I like the sound, performance, and form factor, BUT mine stopped working recently and I've been back and forth between the manufacturer, the US seller from which I bought it, and their current Canadian distributor (which NUX recommended contacting for replacement parts), and the net of it is that there is no warranty support. BUYER BEWARE!!

    I have a CloudVocal Prime and it includes effects. The advantage is that I can plug-in my phone with backing tracks into the receiver and blast sax AND backing track through an amplifier.🙂

      Ahh yes I've heard good things about the CloudVocal! How long out of a charge?

    • @DolphScreamingSax
      @DolphScreamingSax ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sarahsaxplayer9988 I would say 4-5 hrs, but you can re-charge with a small cable in between sets. Full charge from empty takes +/- 2 hrs.

      Cloud vocal’s sound does not compare to the NuX B-6. I have the NuX, AMT, and the SD System’s mics and these are better in pure tone than the Cloud which I also have.

      @@pneumasax Thanks for that info. I do consider the Nux B-6 for a potential next purchase, when the Cloudvocal is at the end of it's life. However, for now, I'm very happy with the Cloudvocal and it's customer services.

    Just got mine 2 weeks ago...
    Just happen to have a DPA 4099 for my other wireless setup.... got a mike adapter from AMAZON for $35 (others want $100+ for the DPA one)...
    NO problems with dropouts, distortion, loss of signal, etc...still deciding what the EQs do with what bands...
    In other words... VERY happy with MY purchase... and this is NOT a paid commercial... lol

    After having over a year, I have a couple of tips...
    I got this for a few different reasons and Better Sax's comparison video should help alleviate questions about the quality of sound (I use the "stock" mike more than my 4099).
    I have used this as a second recording mike (w/4099) for doubling effect.
    I also use a 6-foot XLR mike cable, which I either drape over a speaker (on stage) or high near Mixing Board... allows me to see the receiver and make sure it is working (which it always has been)
    As far as the EQ, I leave it on the Default setting (Green-Alto Sax).
    And shutting off??? I don't mind if it shuts down during a break and as long as there is something going on (music) it hasn't shut off...
    My question is why most sax players point their wireless down the bell when, to get the WHOLE sax sound, it should be pointed toward the G# key.for all-around sound (I realize pointing into bell gives you a "harder" sound). And those the point down the bell ALL seem to have basically the same sound.
    Just my opinion... 🎼🎷

    What concern me the most is to be able to switch frequencies: most venues no have wifi, routers, and mobile phones that are exacly working in the same frequencies range. Is the NUX able to change transmission frequencies in case of glitches? it happened to me that during the soundchek everything was working fine but, with the theater full of people, I had to use a wired solution because my old mic had not possibility to switch between frequencies.

    • @sarahsaxplayer9988
      @sarahsaxplayer9988 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think it scans for the best frequency available. To that extent it's more advanced than my AKG. Had no issues so far!

    How does it behave in live gigs? It is 2.4GHz, the same frequency range as the standard wifi routers and all smartphones. So it does not present some glitches and cracks?

      @@sarahsaxplayer9988 Thank you for the reply. I presume that though you prefer the AKG, the NUX is not so much of a noticeable step down in performance that it bothers you (or the sound engineer or bandmates) - would you say that's correct?

      @davekana8388 I've read about how some people have interference issues. But also it would be better if it didn't have preset effects like it does, so that those could be adjusted at the mixer. It also turns off automatically after 10 min of not using it and you have to make the case start charging, it won't automatically do that.
      I would hope the company listens to its clients and comes out with an improved product . I wouldn't wanna buy this one and have a better one come out soon after
