happy birthday! here's a vv long list of superlative ideas: most overrated yarn, most underrated yarn, favorite yarn to knit with vs favorite yarn to wear, most challenging yarn/color to photograph (read: the knit you really wish we could all see/feel in real life), top yarn or dyer you want to try out for next year, most memorable knit (could be bc you're the most proud of it, or had to frog it 5 times, or wore it to a fun concert, etc), the knit you'd steal from your knit-groups' makes of 2024, the knit that feels most like a support blanket when you wear it (& is that bc of the pattern or the yarn or the life experiences that occurred while you made it), the knit/yarn that you miss having on your needles, the knit that gives you the most chic vibes, I could keep coming up with more haha, but I'll stop here. I love this idea and can't wait to hear what you come up with! Happy holidays!

That is the cutest little baby knit! And happy birthday. I have a fan on my latest sweater, hoping it will dry before the festivities. I spent this podcast winding the rest of my advent yarn minis up to make the festivities easier to manage with my projects. Otherwise it'll be days of board games, knitting, food and not much else. I just have to survive one final day at the mall.

I recently finished one, I’m a similar size to you but I knit a size 5, I also added 6 rounds of raglan increases after the last round of lifted increases, I think I ended up with 8 stripes before I split for sleeves but my gauge was definitely off

Theo's vest is adorable, and the heirloom cardi is coming out lovely. 😍 For superlative categories, I would love to know the most and least favorite styles (e.g., crew vs. v-neck, raglan vs. round yoke vs. saddle shoulder, straight sleeve vs. balloon, long sleeve vs. 3/4, colorwork vs. texture, and so on). Also, as you knit a lot of garments, for those with issues (e.g., fit, yarn scratchiness, shrunk or grew with wear), will you be donating them or repurposing the yarn?
I'm going to a handmade fair this weekend that has quite a few yarn dyers (but isn't fiber exclusive by any means) and I'm sooo excited to see what is available! Telling myself that it's my last Christmas in Korea so I'm allowed to purchase maybe more than what is reasonable haha. The matching baby slipover is so so sweet - are there any other sweaters you already have for yourself that you'd like to make for her?
How was the fair?? Did you get a lot of goodies?? I actually don't know if I have many others I'd make for her, there are actually so many adorable kid patterns that have sweet touches (peplums, frills etc) that I wouldn't make for me so that's what I'm more excited to make for her!

Thank you!! We did look very cute and she really liked wearing it so big win! The doppio is usually made with a fluffy yarn (if that's what your'e asking) and some other more structured yarn like 2 fingering weights or a DK held with a fluff. I think it's size friendly for all sizes! If you want more room just size up and I think the sleeves are already a great length so you'd just have to adjust the body which at this gauge is a breeze! I think I added length on my last one and was super happy with the fit! Hope your holidays were lovely!~
I'm not great at keeping it updated, but I have 5 series shelves on Goodreads. Anything books that I've read as a part of a series, but that's not the most recent one in that series that I've read goes in "series." The other 4 are only for the most recent one I've read from that series, so that each series is only represented once across all 4 books for series tracking purposes. The 4 shelves are "series - caught up" (not completed but the next books aren't out), "series - in progress" (there's more books in the series already out that I haven't read yet) "series - completed" (the series is complete and I've read them all) and "series - abandoned" (there's more books in the series either already released or planned, but I won't be picking them up). I have ~100 series that are in progress or caught up, ~130 series I've completed, and ~250 series I've abandoned. So clearly I'm a big fan of dropping series. In fact it looks like I average about two books per series. But I've been on Goodreads since I was a freshman in high school (15 years ago), so a lot of the abandoned series are older YA series that I just have now interest in anymore.
Wow what a great system! I just use the read, currently reading, want to read standard shelves. I feel like I'd lose track with shuffling series around but I'm not great about putting nexts on the want to read shelf or a note if I actually liked it, maybe 2025 is when I'll reorg that system lol

@ I really love the fit, it’s deep enough for me I don’t feel it in my armpits but I can wear a proper coat over it without it feeling too bunched up
