One of my favorites, I love to listen to the masters. All the practice in the world will never substitute for the talent God gave so few. Great job Miss Julia. You have it all!!
I am a professional luthier and hear a lot of guitar playing in my work. This was great; very dynamic, good phrasing and lovely lyrical quality. Well done Julia.
I know this is not technically a high brow assessment or critique but, BLOODY HELL!! the hair on whole body stood up bravo, bravo, bravo so much emotion feel and precision- bloody hell! Did I mention I liked it?? Thank you so much for the liquid gold for the ears and senses
What an enjoyable, sweet performance! This is one of my favorite guitar pieces ever. I used to listen to this with my grandfather. I mean, versions and versions and versions of it. And I love yours. It's so refreshing to see a sensible, beautiful young girl like you playing like this. Congratulations!
I would ask the dislikers to please try and limit their opinions to realistic issues. Maybe this was not a technically perfect performance but it was certainly entertaining and showed the hard work that was obviously put into the show. It was posted for free and you got to enjoy a few pleasant minutes. Don’t belittle yourselves by nitpicking on something you almost certainly couldn’t do as well yourself.
I've heard this played many times.. This is one of the very best!! Beautiful, full of energy! Light and Delicate yet Powerful! World class! Thank you for sharing.. Completed with a Lovely smile.
Why would someone dislike this masterpiece? This song is so hard to play, especially the tremolo, this takes serious talent, I wish I could play like that!
Les Pol Asturias tiene historia hermano y esa historia lo han hecho los hombres, así como al kung fu lo hicieron los hombres y de aquella parte geográfica del mundo como es China , y no Bélgica o Nueva Zelanda. Saludos y buen día.
You are brilliant, Julia!! This kind of musicianship and musical maturity are rare! From the moment you started playing this piece, i was enthralled. One of the things that captivated me was your incredible control and development of dynamics. A truly emotional experience! thank you you!
This young lady Julia Lange has a wonderful smooth touch. As with Ana Vidovic, she plays Albeniz' Asturias that captures anyone's ability to appreciate the classics, very differently. Both equally very pleasing to the ear. Vidovic chooses to be more 'aggressive' which makes us shiver with goosebumps............. however, Julia's own gently touch also gives us music lovers a physical reaction to her mastery of this piece in her own way.
Wooooooowwwwww!!! This is sth of the most beautiful things I ever have seen and listened ...!!!! Sounds like J.S. Bach speaks Spanisch ...Dankeschőn !!!
She did an amazing job! I did find three moments that were slightly off but that is not to knock her Talent. It took Andre Segovia 70 years to master the art of the Spanish classical guitar and he was playing since he was a very young boy. If no one knows who Andre Segovia is they should Google him. He was truly a master of the classical guitar . Now back to this young lady, she performed a beautiful strong set and is well on her way. Amazing job and talent!👏👏👏👏👏
a666n... If people haven't seen or heard Maestro Segovia playing, what are they doing here, making unqualified criticism about this young lady's excellent playing.. I saw Segovia at Newcastle City Hall, when he was 86 yrs old, not long before he passed away, and it was sad to see him forget parts of the most famous pieces, like this one. He smoothly carried on from the beginning, in a very professional manner!.. I did the same thing on stage in a rock and roll group, in the 1960'sthrough pure tiredness, working a full shift underground in a coal mine, then playing all night.. and I was only 19 yrs old! This girl played this with no dropped notes.. so in reality she surpassed Segovia... only by comparison! How about that folks?!!!
First off, if you wish to be taken seriously, I suggest you work on a decent 'moniker'. Second, prove that you're a way better musician than whom you're criticising. Until then, no dice.
Both of your claims are idiotic. An argument is either accurate or it isn't. If you think the name of the person is relevant to the content of the statement, you're an idiot. Secondly, if you think you need to be more skilled at something than another person in order to recognize when they've made an error, you're also an idiot. If I know how Asturias is meant to be played, I don't need to be able to play it myself in order to recognize whether someone else can or can't play it correctly.
+Eezge Efaef "totally wrong" is a little bit exaggerated... yes, it should be a little different but it's not like that's uncorrectable error and I don't really feel like it affects the quality of her sound much...
Beautiful! This is one of my favorite guitar pieces but it seems that there's always something new to discover in each player's interpretation & performance. Ms Lange does it justice!
He said she will go far. The performance is passionate. It sounds great. Is it a crime? I don't see anything wrong. Maybe it sounds too stalking but it's still too far from claiming "they make laws to protect kids because of this"
Your execution is the best I have ever heard because you give the strumming at the right time. The interpreters I have heard before find it difficult to go from tremolo to rasggada and what they do is leave a space of time between one and the other to facilitate movement, but that breaks the rhythm of the piece despite which they do it. You do not. You give the strumming right at the exact moment and for that I congratulate you.
You must have been top of your class. Playing so incredibly well at the age of 16, makes me wonder if you progress at this rate what will you be like at 21? Keep at it, you've found your vocation.
