It took a few episodes but we've finally reached the good part of the cour. And we're going straight into the Yachiru fight, Im so fkn excited! Didnt really enjoy the previous episodes of the cour, but its only up from here.
whatever the Japanese equivalent of an Oscar is, they need to give that to As Nodt's voice actor for this week's performance lol. holy hell what a showcase of voiceover ability. so unbelievably good.
He made basically 3 kind of voices in this ep: his "normal" creepy voice, the EXTREME GUTURAL voice and the soft and " gimpy " defenseless voice. Such epic performance, truly.
Yeah dude has range considering other characters he has played such as Kirito from SAO, Inosuke from Demon slayer and Teruki Hanazawa from Mob Psycho 100
It's kind of bitter-sweet to hear Byakuya say "Know that there is nothing that can be saved, by a sword swung in exchange of one's life." after seeing Komamura's fate.
It's intentional I think. Because Komamura was indeed unable to accomplish the task he set for himself, and his fate lends more weight to Byakya's words here.

They did one of the best sternritters justice in this episode. Was surprised Gwenael wasn’t cut too, curious to see if any of that fight is cut next week. The lack of Schrift also just feels like a purposeful joke at this point lol.
I think people thought he'd be cut cuz no voice actor listed but they forgot that the whole point of his power is to be forgotten "the vanishing point"
Rukia's bankai was absolutely beautiful. She and Renji truly deserved their big moments. They were always the first ones to head into battle and took a lot of Ls. Byakuya has always been my favorite captain, and I love how he handles his failures with grace. He truly humbled himself and grew from his experience.

He's my favorite captain too and his development ever since ichigo arrived has been great. To him calling any enemy of ichigos his enemy to acknowledging how strong rukia became and how magnificent her bankai is. It's really been great to see
@darknesswave100 Seriously he has come such a long way. Last cour it was hard watching him all broken and defeated not even lamenting about his own fate but about how failed to protect his people. To see him come back from that with no resentment in his heart is truly admirable.
I'm glad they included As Nodt's past in addition to Rukia's graceful takedown. It gives him an element of humanity seeing him on his deathbed weak and helpless only for Yhwach to arrive and make him into a terror unleashing killing machine. Really showed where quite a few of Yhwach's followers came from despite their power.
yeah, it was great to see As Nodt's past and how he became the terrifying force he is. It adds depth to Yhwach's followers and shows the impact he had on them.
@@jamesonjunkyhe got a lot of the Quincy by them touching him to gain his power. Because you then become a part of him. But he eventually takes it all back. The Sternritters drink his blood and get even more power. But it all comes back to him.
@@jamesonjunky No, Quincy are discint from regular Humans with Soul powers. Uryuu and his Family are Special because they are the only natural born Quincy left. Almost All of the Sternritters are Quincy created by Yhwach via his blood powers.
That was, without a doubt THE BEST episode this season! As Nodt's VA absolutely nailed it! A moment of silence for BG9's schrift though... (and presumably Robert's)
Since he's a robot maybe he doesn't have one. Hashwaldt says a schrift is inscribed on the soul, so if you don't have one of those you shouldn't be able to get a schrift.

You know I know some people are upset that we never find out what that “K” Schrift stood for for BG9. Tommo pointed out before that we never actually get told that the F stood for The Fear even though it’s obvious. We only get confirmation in Volume 57 at the end of Chapter 501 on page 42 we see Kubo’s little drawing of an F with -ear next to it with a fly on it. Seeing that we didn’t get anything for BG9, I can’t imagine Robert’s will be any better.
At this rate, I'm massively disappointed with all this misopportunities. You're right, Robert will very likely get the exact scenes from the manga, at worst gets cut in some parts too. The anime was supposed to flesh these characters out. Instead it made them worse. Cang Du was supposed to have a rebellious retort towards Haschwald, but they freaking CUT THAT?? It was just a small line!!!

I could write an essay of what this episode does perfect. I'll just say that it's easily one of the best Bleach episodes of all time and the 2nd best of TYBW in my opinion. They did everything and everyone so much justice
@@dmitriygosling I can agree with that. The sound design of that fight was a masterclass as we went from the constant background noise of the flames to absolute silence. It was, quite literally, deafening how strong that silence was.
It was so amazing that Rukia's bankai actually looks so much better in this animation than the original chapter/color page where it this mono white. The fact that it's ice. It's literally ice. Her hair is ice, her clothes are ice, everything about her is this transparent look rather than the mono-white we got in the original color pages. And the fact that she got a.. almost upbeat, inspirational, remix of Never Meant to Belong. The OG "fear and anxiety" piano that just cuts through when you know things are having an emotional turn.
My brain did a U-turn. Like, on first glance I was disappointed because it wasn't the striking pure white of the chapter...but I don't think anything can do pure white as well as Kubo can with the manga. Manga is manga and anime is anime. The ice is something that Kubo genuinely can't do, and in motion it fully earns the title of the most beautiful Zanpakuto in all of Soul Society.

The voice acting severely carried this episode. Äs Nödt VA has such fantastic range. And this is also the first time this cour that I'm starting to get a little accustomed to the red sky. Both Tatarforas and Hakka no Togame looked so much better than in the source material with the blood red backdrop.
Yeah he has, when he was speaking with his normal voice i was like "WHAT THE!" i didnt read who it was but hearing that voice made it pretty dang clear lol
Red sky is a genius idea. It allowed them to play with color of highlights better theb simple blue/black sky would. Also, sky turning red is like an apologetic scenery.
Haschwalth said that when the Sternritter die, Yhawach gains their "knowledge" and "skill". I think it was subtly implied in that dialogue that BG 9's schrift is "K the knowledge".

My god! The voice actor for As Nodt is so freaking incredible!! He brought so much more to the character, I can't say enough positive things about him. Granted, this is the same VA that brought Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti to life in Re:Zero, so I knew he was going to absolutely kill it as As. This dude is so committed to his craft! I imagine these roles are absolute murder on his throat too.
I absolutely LOVED the way As Nodt said "Tartar Foras" His Voice Actor went absolutely crazy, this just shows how much effort they all put in this whole arc and respected Kubo for what he truly deserves

Hearing never meant to belong playing along with the added lyrics towards the end with rukia deactivating her bankai was so good and absolute got chills
They nailed both the horrific terror of As Nodt and the stunning beauty of Rukia's Bankai. A wonderful adaptation of one of the most iconic fights in the TYBW!
Rukia just put Daiguren Hyōrinmaru to shame, she just oneshot nuked the sternritter at full power with an ice blast to a point the dude got disintegrated whereas Hitsugaya is always struggling to only keep someone frozen lol. Rukia's bankai form is truly beatiful but the best thing in the whole episode is how Byakuya shows up to basicly make sure she knows he is there to have her back and acknowledges her growth and currently strength, i love those moments when he praises her and then takes a step back like, you've got this. Then comes back after the win and praises her again while taking care of her hand while she slowly undo the transformation.
When I first watched the episode I didn't like how As's holy form is basically wearing a dress that flaps around in the breeze, but now I realize it's supposed to be a twisted version of his hospital gown and it makes a lot of sense and fits perfectly.
BG9 was a Quincy scientist that spent his life studying the enemies of the Wandenreich. Upon death, he turns himself into a cyborg to continue to serve. Ywhach rewards him with the Scrift "K" for Knowledge. That's literally all they had to do to give the fans an answer.
@@MrGksarathy I am a Sternritter simp. Their holy monk/angel/Templar motifs work for me, and their goal of basically avenging God and recreating paradise is the least evil, though their methods are the most extreme. The fact that these interesting character designs have such thin backstory compare to other antagonists is a hard hit. I think Kubo went overboard on the number of cool characters he created, and didn't have time to give them compelling stories.
Those moments with Byakuya and Rukia witnessing each other grow and gain respect for each other are absolutely amazing. Rukia's Bankai was absolutely stunning. Everything about this episode was brilliant.

We literally know the Schrift of three Quincy that got wiped off screen by the same guy in about 1 minute but still won't know that of two Quincy that actually did damage to Captains!
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka the voice actor of As Nodt knocked it out of the park this is episode was perfection!! Chills from seeing Rukia’s true shikai and Bankai and the whole tone shift of As Nodt the animation was just of so damn good
I’m honestly such a big fan of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in this episode. Earlier this season he voiced Flat Escardos in Fate/strange Fake and its such a different voice than As Nodt’s so the fact that he did both so close together is impressive.
The lack of BG9's scrift is really odd. Given how on hands Kubo is as well as how proactive the animation team is in asking Kuno to elaborate scenes and stuff makes me question if they holding it for some reason. I guess the last chance is in the Blu-ray notes.
@@darknesswave100 That's not really the point. It ultimately doesn't matter story-wise what BG-9's schrift is since he has two fights with Soi-Fon and dies. Like Tommo said, it's the principle of it that matters. During the original run, the two missing schrifts could at least be understood as Kubo slipping up understandably during a very, very chaotic arc that he was writing on a weekly basis. 10 years later, with an adaptation that has many people involved with the scripting, directing, and what not, it's absolutely inexcusable to still leave out basic information like that. It really just shows a lack of care. It's like if two of the Espada never had their numbers or Resurreccion names revealed.

I'm starting to feel it was just marketing. How could things be so sloppy, if Kubo was very much involved in this. Schrifts the letters, could have been properly done. The first invasion, we have no idea who Ukitake and Shinji were fighting. Nanana and Rose fight ends offscreen. So sloppy.

This was an amazing episode. I was worried about As Nodt's holy form but they did an amazing job. That thing was creepy and weird and Rukia's bankai was even more beautiful than it was in the manga
While it would have been resonant if Byakuya had died in Cour 1 seeing him give Rukia the chance to take out As Nodt and allowed for him to see her Bankai, a moment between the two that was a long time coming, was truly beautiful

I'm so happy I get to watch this arc get animated bro. Bleach was always one of my favorite anime, which caused me to read the manga and man... I didn't know seeing things animated would get this good. Bleach TYBW is peak!!! this episode was probably my favorite one so far
Was waiting for this to be uploaded! They seriously knew this fight was important to all of us and went all out on it! I was shaking after it was done. Have to rewatch it twice. And even though Nightmare didn’t play, it was still a good music selection of what they had.
Another Quincy displayed incredibly. There was a point in time watching As Nodt morph where I was deeply disturbed. This episode was incredible and see Byakuya made it touching. 10/10 ANIME OF THE YEAR!!!!!!
I'm finally glad to see this animated as Rukia's bankai is amazing. Ive always loved the risk reward aspect this arc added for her zampakto as I find that it makes it one of the more intriguing abilities in bleach.
Watching this episode with bluetooth headphones and hearing As Nodt in my left ear, just like Rukia, was a really cool touch that helped set the tone for what's to come.
Splitting them up worked better especially for the 2nd one that was at the end of his life because the essence of his character is his own fear of dying. So seeing him show his vulnerability while being killed by Rukia worked really well imo. Plus the VA did such a good job delivering his final lines.
I love how Rukia getting stronger assuages Byakuyas fear of her dying and helps with Rukias own insecurities regarding her brother having respect for her. Great writing.
Yhwach in As nodt’s flashback is kind of funny but also pretty menacing, in the manga we actually see him walk into the room, but in the anime he’s just suddenly there
@@MrGksarathy Yhwach is a false messiah who takes upon the name of God (specifically the Jewish name for the Abrahamic God, Yahweh), so Anti-Christ is more fitting. His whole motif is a dark spin on Jesus, including the miracles he bestows on his followers which ultimately spell their doom once they "make the deal with the devil".
@@purerage7963 But at the same time, he is the Son of God, born of a miraculous conception in which the Soul King, God, begat him, presumably non-sexually, with a human woman. Therefore, he is the closest we have to Jesus. The fact that he also ticks several Anti-Christ boxes shows that Kubo knew what he was doing.

I think that it is important to look at how Byakuya's acknowledgment of Rukia is different than the other "acknowledgment" scenes he has had with people like Renji or Ichigo. Here, it's not about seeing her as worthy or an equal, it's about him admitting that she is strong enough that he doesn't have to protect her from the world. In the past, he's used his influence to keep her in low ranking positions and put on low threat assigments. In a way, letting her "play" at being a soul reaper without any real danger. We've seen time and again how that blows up in his face, but now, he's mature enough to see how strong she is on her own. Her strength is both her own wisdom, inner power, and skill; but also the network she has built on her own of friends that supported her, and unlike younger Byakuya, she knows how to work on a team. The second part of the scene, when he helps walk her down from her Banki is also important because I think that's the first time we've seen Byakuya teach anyone anything. Another sign of him growing as much as the others. He is one of the youngest persons to ever become the head of a noble house, and he is very young for a captain, so seeing him as both a captain and has an older brother take the moment to complement Rukia and also to share some experience on dealing with a powerful but dangerous banki like Rukia's was really nice. In the execution scene, I think that they did an excellent job of driving home the fact that despite the words he uses, none of the sternritter mean anything to Yhwach and at the first sign of failure he will have them disposed of and take back his tainted gift. We value them as characters, he sees them as resources and pawns to be used. It gets to us because of how much we care and he doesn't. Not getting BG-9's Schrift almost feels like it was intentional to make us feel like something was missing, like there wasn't care about the charecter, a way to induce in us the viewers an understanding of just how little they mean to their master in-universe.
Maybe, but it's still disappointing that we haven't gotten this basic info after nearly a decade. That, and it hurts that most of the Stërnritter don't have anything close to fleshed out backstories, unlike the Espada, which definitely makes them, and the Wandenreich, feel flatter and not well-realized.
Rukia's bankai and the music hit!!! Finally, I'm getting to see this animated after reading the manga years ago. Now, this makes me so hyped for other bankai's to be animated. Ichigo Shunsui Kenny Kisuke Are the ones that will be ❤❤
I like how the detail where The Fear "F" from Äs Nödt has been added a frozen effect, which ironically just transform into Frozen "F' by Rukia It was so stunning and superb to look on it.
Yooo, Bleach is currently peak Anime. And I wouldn't say that lightly.... what spectacle of a episode. And what's comming up kinda gave me goosebumps. Man, im so excited. I'm so impressed. Hot dam.
Personally I don't think BG9's Shrift is *the Knowledge* because data analysis is a basic feature of machines, cyborgs, or computers. Especially since it would seem too similar to Nanana Najahkoop's Shrift U, which already has an analysis type power. For me the Shrift of BG9 is *the Knight*. This Shrift would allow him to be able to materialize Armor and weapons (gatling gun, wings, grenades, etc.), like a knight would equip himself with weapons adn armor. It is also perhaps not for nothing that BG9 has a helmet that looks like a knight.
Keep in mind As Nodt VA also voicing Kirito from SAO, that guy really loves voicing handsome harem protagonist or eldritch abomination monster like Äs and Betelgeuse from Re:zero So talented

My favorite episode of the Thousand Year Blood War so far. I've been dying to see this ever since the original chapter, and it somehow exceeded my hopes. Damn
I love the entire scene of Rukia bankai, literal chills the animation of her slowly thawing her crystal clear ice form to her full normal body, although short and subtle, is absolutely magnificent
As Nodt is one of my favorite Sternritter. Today is my birthday and this is just brilliant to see him given so much love from the anime. Great video as always.
My favorite episode of the cour two so far by far. Rukia's zanpakuto and As Nodt were so great to see animated. Sooooo good! Sad that we will in all likelihooid never get to see her bankai in action again.

Honestly i enjoyed the last 2 episodes but I wouldn't call them perfectly done or anything. But ep 19 blew it out of the park for me. The art quality, the voice acting everything was perfectly done
The voice actor for As Nodt is one of the best/well known voice actors so they spared no expense! He plays characters from Kirito, Soma, & Bell to a ton of others and he has amazing range of characters

You know I know some people are upset that we never find out what that “K” Schrift stood for for BG9. Tommo pointed out before that we never actually get told that the F stood for The Fear even though it’s obvious. We only get confirmation in Volume 57 at the end of Chapter 501 on page 42 we see Kubo’s little drawing of an F with -ear next to it with a fly on it. Seeing that we didn’t get anything for BG9, I can’t imagine Robert’s will be any better.
At this rate, I'm massively disappointed with all this misopportunities. You're right, Robert will very likely get the exact scenes from the manga, at worst gets cut in some parts too. The anime was supposed to flesh these characters out. Instead it made them worse. Cang Du was supposed to have a rebellious retort towards Haschwald, but they freaking CUT THAT?? It was just a small line!!!
Any time the ending starts playing before the episode wraps up, you know something special is happening.

That scream Rukia let out was really well done. The actress made me feel her emotion, especially since rukia is usually very stoic
It was so amazing that Rukia's bankai actually looks so much better in this animation than the original chapter/color page where it this mono white. The fact that it's ice. It's literally ice. Her hair is ice, her clothes are ice, everything about her is this transparent look rather than the mono-white we got in the original color pages. And the fact that she got a.. almost upbeat, inspirational, remix of Never Meant to Belong. The OG "fear and anxiety" piano that just cuts through when you know things are having an emotional turn.
My brain did a U-turn. Like, on first glance I was disappointed because it wasn't the striking pure white of the chapter...but I don't think anything can do pure white as well as Kubo can with the manga. Manga is manga and anime is anime. The ice is something that Kubo genuinely can't do, and in motion it fully earns the title of the most beautiful Zanpakuto in all of Soul Society.
I love how when BG9 dies, there is oil instead of blood. Feels more realistic. Episode overall 10/10 ☺️

The voice acting severely carried this episode. Äs Nödt VA has such fantastic range. And this is also the first time this cour that I'm starting to get a little accustomed to the red sky. Both Tatarforas and Hakka no Togame looked so much better than in the source material with the blood red backdrop.

Haschwalth said that when the Sternritter die, Yhawach gains their "knowledge" and "skill". I think it was subtly implied in that dialogue that BG 9's schrift is "K the knowledge".
That doesn't really make sense, you'd have to bend yourself into knots to explain how "skill" has anything to do with Cang Du's schrift.

My god! The voice actor for As Nodt is so freaking incredible!! He brought so much more to the character, I can't say enough positive things about him. Granted, this is the same VA that brought Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti to life in Re:Zero, so I knew he was going to absolutely kill it as As. This dude is so committed to his craft! I imagine these roles are absolute murder on his throat too.
I absolutely LOVED the way As Nodt said "Tartar Foras" His Voice Actor went absolutely crazy, this just shows how much effort they all put in this whole arc and respected Kubo for what he truly deserves

They did fantastic with AsNodt's entirety and Rukia's Bankai was gorgeous! It really held up for the most beautiful zanpakuto in the Soul Society.

Rukia’s voice actor nailed that scream when Tartarforas took effect.
Rukia just put Daiguren Hyōrinmaru to shame, she just oneshot nuked the sternritter at full power with an ice blast to a point the dude got disintegrated whereas Hitsugaya is always struggling to only keep someone frozen lol. Rukia's bankai form is truly beatiful but the best thing in the whole episode is how Byakuya shows up to basicly make sure she knows he is there to have her back and acknowledges her growth and currently strength, i love those moments when he praises her and then takes a step back like, you've got this. Then comes back after the win and praises her again while taking care of her hand while she slowly undo the transformation.
Yep and that's my issue with hitsu. His bankai is so over used and so rarely does anything. Rukias should take the title of most powerful

When I first watched the episode I didn't like how As's holy form is basically wearing a dress that flaps around in the breeze, but now I realize it's supposed to be a twisted version of his hospital gown and it makes a lot of sense and fits perfectly.

@@MrGksarathy I am a Sternritter simp. Their holy monk/angel/Templar motifs work for me, and their goal of basically avenging God and recreating paradise is the least evil, though their methods are the most extreme.
The fact that these interesting character designs have such thin backstory compare to other antagonists is a hard hit. I think Kubo went overboard on the number of cool characters he created, and didn't have time to give them compelling stories.
Love how Rukia just whispers “bankai”, instead of all the other male characters who just yell it out.

I’m honestly such a big fan of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in this episode. Earlier this season he voiced Flat Escardos in Fate/strange Fake and its such a different voice than As Nodt’s so the fact that he did both so close together is impressive.

The lack of BG9's scrift is really odd. Given how on hands Kubo is as well as how proactive the animation team is in asking Kuno to elaborate scenes and stuff makes me question if they holding it for some reason. I guess the last chance is in the Blu-ray notes.

@@darknesswave100 That's not really the point. It ultimately doesn't matter story-wise what BG-9's schrift is since he has two fights with Soi-Fon and dies. Like Tommo said, it's the principle of it that matters. During the original run, the two missing schrifts could at least be understood as Kubo slipping up understandably during a very, very chaotic arc that he was writing on a weekly basis. 10 years later, with an adaptation that has many people involved with the scripting, directing, and what not, it's absolutely inexcusable to still leave out basic information like that. It really just shows a lack of care. It's like if two of the Espada never had their numbers or Resurreccion names revealed.

I'm starting to feel it was just marketing. How could things be so sloppy, if Kubo was very much involved in this. Schrifts the letters, could have been properly done. The first invasion, we have no idea who Ukitake and Shinji were fighting. Nanana and Rose fight ends offscreen. So sloppy.

This was an amazing episode. I was worried about As Nodt's holy form but they did an amazing job. That thing was creepy and weird and Rukia's bankai was even more beautiful than it was in the manga
While it would have been resonant if Byakuya had died in Cour 1 seeing him give Rukia the chance to take out As Nodt and allowed for him to see her Bankai, a moment between the two that was a long time coming, was truly beautiful
Your reaction was basically the same as mine. Just in absolute awe of my favorite stern ritter. So happy they did him justice and his voice actor knocked it out of the park. Rukias ban kai looked phenomenal also. Even better than I could have pictured

Was waiting for this to be uploaded! They seriously knew this fight was important to all of us and went all out on it! I was shaking after it was done. Have to rewatch it twice. And even though Nightmare didn’t play, it was still a good music selection of what they had.
Another Quincy displayed incredibly. There was a point in time watching As Nodt morph where I was deeply disturbed. This episode was incredible and see Byakuya made it touching. 10/10 ANIME OF THE YEAR!!!!!!

I'm finally glad to see this animated as Rukia's bankai is amazing. Ive always loved the risk reward aspect this arc added for her zampakto as I find that it makes it one of the more intriguing abilities in bleach.
Watching this episode with bluetooth headphones and hearing As Nodt in my left ear, just like Rukia, was a really cool touch that helped set the tone for what's to come.
I think putting the As flashback in between his holy form transformation works better than at the end of his life.
100%. I think splitting them up between each form was a better way to relate Äs Nödt's past to his current self fighting Rukia.
Splitting them up worked better especially for the 2nd one that was at the end of his life because the essence of his character is his own fear of dying. So seeing him show his vulnerability while being killed by Rukia worked really well imo. Plus the VA did such a good job delivering his final lines.
I love how Rukia getting stronger assuages Byakuyas fear of her dying and helps with Rukias own insecurities regarding her brother having respect for her. Great writing.

@@MrGksarathy Yhwach is a false messiah who takes upon the name of God (specifically the Jewish name for the Abrahamic God, Yahweh), so Anti-Christ is more fitting. His whole motif is a dark spin on Jesus, including the miracles he bestows on his followers which ultimately spell their doom once they "make the deal with the devil".
@@purerage7963 But at the same time, he is the Son of God, born of a miraculous conception in which the Soul King, God, begat him, presumably non-sexually, with a human woman. Therefore, he is the closest we have to Jesus. The fact that he also ticks several Anti-Christ boxes shows that Kubo knew what he was doing.

I think that it is important to look at how Byakuya's acknowledgment of Rukia is different than the other "acknowledgment" scenes he has had with people like Renji or Ichigo. Here, it's not about seeing her as worthy or an equal, it's about him admitting that she is strong enough that he doesn't have to protect her from the world. In the past, he's used his influence to keep her in low ranking positions and put on low threat assigments. In a way, letting her "play" at being a soul reaper without any real danger. We've seen time and again how that blows up in his face, but now, he's mature enough to see how strong she is on her own. Her strength is both her own wisdom, inner power, and skill; but also the network she has built on her own of friends that supported her, and unlike younger Byakuya, she knows how to work on a team. The second part of the scene, when he helps walk her down from her Banki is also important because I think that's the first time we've seen Byakuya teach anyone anything. Another sign of him growing as much as the others. He is one of the youngest persons to ever become the head of a noble house, and he is very young for a captain, so seeing him as both a captain and has an older brother take the moment to complement Rukia and also to share some experience on dealing with a powerful but dangerous banki like Rukia's was really nice.
In the execution scene, I think that they did an excellent job of driving home the fact that despite the words he uses, none of the sternritter mean anything to Yhwach and at the first sign of failure he will have them disposed of and take back his tainted gift. We value them as characters, he sees them as resources and pawns to be used. It gets to us because of how much we care and he doesn't. Not getting BG-9's Schrift almost feels like it was intentional to make us feel like something was missing, like there wasn't care about the charecter, a way to induce in us the viewers an understanding of just how little they mean to their master in-universe.
Maybe, but it's still disappointing that we haven't gotten this basic info after nearly a decade.
That, and it hurts that most of the Stërnritter don't have anything close to fleshed out backstories, unlike the Espada, which definitely makes them, and the Wandenreich, feel flatter and not well-realized.
Rukia's bankai and the music hit!!! Finally, I'm getting to see this animated after reading the manga years ago. Now, this makes me so hyped for other bankai's to be animated.

I like how the detail where The Fear "F" from Äs Nödt has been added a frozen effect, which ironically just transform into Frozen "F' by Rukia It was so stunning and superb to look on it.

Personally I don't think BG9's Shrift is *the Knowledge* because data analysis is a basic feature of machines, cyborgs, or computers.
Especially since it would seem too similar to Nanana Najahkoop's Shrift U, which already has an analysis type power.
For me the Shrift of BG9 is *the Knight*.
This Shrift would allow him to be able to materialize Armor and weapons (gatling gun, wings, grenades, etc.), like a knight would equip himself with weapons adn armor.
It is also perhaps not for nothing that BG9 has a helmet that looks like a knight.
