Comparing Tiger with 390 adv is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Toyota.
1 Tiger xcx or GT pro = 5x Ktm 390.
The fact that Ktm can cruise so well on the highways and sustain good speed, is an achiement in itself.
It isn't a comparison as such. He very clearly states that. His intention for this video is to demonstrate the capabilities of the 390 ADV, what you can expect and where it falls short in terms of big bike ADV ownership. His other intention is to create content for monetisation, which is fine, it is his business after-all.
He has always maintained that smaller lighter ADVs are the best for off-road. Which is what any experienced rider will tell you. Conclusion is that the 390 ADV is a fantastic machine. Change the gearing up a bit, try and send the bike to a start point by rail or transport if you can afford it and enjoy what it has to offer while touring in the hills. If you plan on riding a lot on high speed highways, do yourself a favour and buy a preowned Versys/Vstrom or whatever premium ADV you like, but be prepared for big buck servicing and maintenance. Or buy an Interceptor and deal with the wind blast and poor ergonomics. No free lunch, no perfect bike whether you look at 3 lakhs or 30 lakhs range.

Bullu, small request- Can you also put the route you are taking during the rides . I stay on the other side of bangalore and itching to to hit the tar on my duke, but not sure which route to take now for a short rider during this lockdown.

These videos are good Bulu... Well, they need, maybe a week prepared script or a more focussed approach as to what the video will be all about... Else people will surely lose interest in the channel over a period of time... While the rest of India still has time for that kind of situation I guess... Bangalore and Pune may not...Anyways 👍

In one of the recent videos, you mentioned that you would be going to change the sprocket ratio of KTM 390 adventure (one tooth less in front one and three teerh more in the back one). When are you doing it? Please mention here, the impact of sprockets changes. I believe, it would increase the lower end torque and acceleration but it probably cut down the top speed by 15-20 km/hr. But, despite the top speed reduction, the available top speed should be around 150-155 km/hr, isn't it? Please give your feedback on this very important issue. I am about to finalise between KTM 390 adventure and Himalayan BS6.
Vilas Kulkarni Abhinav Bhatt changed his front sprocket to the Duke 250’s. According to him the low end torque improved significantly at a marginal cost to the top speed. He still managed 166 kmph. Check out his video if you’re interested.

Today I got replies of following questions:
a) If your bike is KTM Duke 390 adventure you are able to use at least 80 to 90% of its power band.
b) KTM Adventure Duke 390 is a real paisa wasool bike.( already owning 2016 model )
c) when there is more power under your disposal you are often afraid of using it all... Even if you are trying you are putting your life at risk.
Conclusion: I got GYAN... GOOD ONE

What is the experience when doing with pillion on the KTM? I am confused on whether to buy KTM 390 or interceptor 650 for pillion comfort on long rides.

@@bdelloidrotifer3006 I chose the Dominar 400 - it ticked all the right boxes for me - it carries the same 373.3 cc DOHC engine from KTM 390 and yet provides the right seat height and price for a beginner to start on a powerful motorcycle. Plus it is far more reliable compared to the RE offerings. The money saved got utilised for riding gear and a Givi top box which is phenomenal.
And the icing on the cake was the fact that I got the 2022 Dominar that Bajaj just launched with windscreen, extended engine guard, a new bash plate, top rack, USB charging port, knuckle - all thrown in as standard - straight saving of 20k plus.

@@sj_fpl_ there are other cheap options such as Honda CRF450L, KTM EXC500 compared to Tenere, but India doesn't get even those. Now only hope for Indians is xpulse 300 concept....let's wait for it
@@sahiladya8473 maybe... But we are not sure how yamaha will release in India, then also there won't be much difference between v strom and tenere. If you are looking for value for money then go for duke 390 adv. You won't get any bike for 3.8 lakh like these much options.

Go for 390 Adventure. It's value for money. G310 Gs is expensive for no reason just because it's a BMW.

wobbling is there post 145kmph, did a top speed of 165 yesterday and understood

The comparison is by budget ... Himalayan s lesser den the two in price ... bs6 Himalayan s improved and All the 3 r good tourers and not only a off-road bike... u need brand den go for bmw. U need technology and fun den go for duke ... simple sturdy bike within budget and good tourer den definetly go for Himalayan 👍

But ek baat to hai jab 95% roads pe wahi 100-140 krna hai to a 650 cc is good enough. Bas hod lagi hui hai litre class bechne ki or kuch nahi.
Even KTM 390 adventure is enough powerful for touring KTM just need to make it proper adventure bike like 790 adventure.
@@ShivamSingh-bw9rt I was talking considering the big bike feel. That a person who wants a big bike can rather buy a 650 cc which does around (200 KMPH) easily. KTMs are good but dont give you a big bike's feel with its hard revving engine.

Big bike feel depends on person like those who ride 200-250cc bike when they switch to KTM adventure 390 they will get big bike feel.
Those who ride Ninja 650 when they ride ninja 1000 they will get big bike feel.
Those who ride ninja 1000 will get more big bike feel on ZX14R or Hayabusa.
But yes
Twin cylinder and four cylinder gives smooth performance if you are buying bike for that more cylinder feel then it's okay.

KTM 790 ADVENTURE would be the fair comparison to Triumph Tiger 800, and once KTM launches it in India it will surely beat all it's rivals in the segment and will come out to be the best middleweight adventure touring bike.
PS: I'm not saying it just like that but with proper research and comparison of the 790 Adventure with it's rivals in the international market. Professional motorcycle journalists out there have proclaimed this bike to be the best in segment.
