    If you have an Nvidia VGA card, next time you update your drivers select Custom, you can then deselect HD Audio to stop it installing the VGA audio and this will stop your soundcard options being messed up. :)

    Karl keep an eye on the temperature of your shakers. After overheating or a lot of use they tend to fail. The design of the shaker is a large magnet suspended on the top and bottom by plastic spoked "wheels". What happens is one of the spokes will crack. You will know because the shaker will start to clunk. I fixed/upgraded a couple shakers by using thin carbon fiber plate to fabricate replacement spoked wheels. Just a FYI I have owned Dayton, Aura, and a couple brands they all have the same design and they have all eventually failed (my replacements have held up so far).

    Hi Karl, I know it's an old video but regarding you sound card numbering keeps getting higher. I've had this with vr headsets doing the same thing. Not sure the cause although I think it's from using/swapping to different usb ports probably but a fix is to go into device manager, show hidden devices and you should see greyed out lower numbered versions, remove these devices and the current one and restart PC. That should make the number go away. :)

    Could you make a video on how to connect it to a modern amplifier? I was looking to get a 7.1 amplifier to drive 4+2 bass shakers (4 wheels + seat + pedals). I guess it will be 6 channels in total. So I will need 3 audio cables going from my PC to the amplifier. Problem is that in some amplifiers (for example, Sony STR-DG720) there are 7 outputs but only 2 analog inputs. So it's non-trivial how to make it work. Some old amplifiers (for example, Pioneer VSX-1017AV-S) have not only 7 outputs but even "multichanel in" so you can connect up to 8 different "channels". So i think some guide is very welcome!

    Hi Karl, quick question regarding SimHub and Dirt Rally 2. I know for the transducers to work you need to load the game through SimHub. Which for project cars 2 in vr which I play the most works fine, however when loading Dirt Rally 2 through SimHub it loads it in non vr mode. Do you know how to fix this? As I’m not sure I’m getting al the benefits of SimHub when having to load dirt rally 2 vr through steam

      I just load it from Steam with Sim Hub running in the background mate.

      @@KarlGosling ah ok cool. I thought it needed to be loaded using SimHub for it to work it’s magic. Cheers, would you say the difference is quite drastic going from just a BK gamer 2 to 4 of these transducers then? As I’m actually not that impressed with the BK, I have it attached to my Art cockpit and to get any noticeable vibration out of it, it’s rattling around like mad and far too noisy to have on really

      @@KarlGosling is there any chance you can do a video somehow of your 4 setup working in game so I can hear how loud they are? Cheers

      Four corner transducers is way better than one BK.
      Hmm you can't really hear them mate, they just vibrate the rig... And the room! Lol

    Karl - how would you compare this setup to the Shakekit? Shakekit has the advantage in simplicity of setup, but how would you compare the driving experience between the two? Thanks!

      This feels better but is obviously much more complicated to setup and potentially more expensive too.

    Excellent video, I don't think I could get away with anything like this, my man-cave is up in the attic and the additional vibrations would not be tolerated by 'She who must be obeyed' 😂 your setup is awesome, I'm very envious 😍 I was wondering, what kind of extra draw electric wise, all this puts on your wiring? Plugs, extensions? How have you managed all that? That might make an interesting video in its self 😉

      I'm lucky my GF is into gaming too! :D
      Everything bar the wheel base is very low current so just a load of 4 way extensions is all thats needed.

    What sort of power do u need the amp to have? 400w 5.1 amp for the 4 bs200? (100w per channel)?

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      50w RMS per channel is fine for these assuming it's a decent brand and not some ebay/amazon cheapo amp.

    another great vid, do you need an external amp to drive the transducers and could you use motherboard built in or PCI soundcard as opposed to USB?

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You must have an amp yes, the transducers are not active.
      Yes you sure can if it isn't already being used as your main sound output.
