    Another great video, thanks. I have 18k on my '22 Powerboost Mine was ordered XL but Ford to fill the order at the time down built a XLT so mine has some parts from the XLT, Rear lights, parts of dash and programing, Oh and Vin. I put the ignition key in and removed start button system. I have some of your Mods CAT shield, Stahlbus drain plug, Oil catch can ,LED lights all around, dash cam. I added a dip stick to transmission, Bambi bar, Revolution 4 bed cover and more. My numbers are about same for cost and mpg, Have driven 600 miles highway on a tank. Have not had the battery replaced but will get that monitor now. My oil/filter changes are at 3000, Happy with the ride, except in heavy traffic creeping is hard, no power to move up in electric too much if engine kicks in. Boggs down rolling through a yield sign and accelerating. Do get drive shaft knock time to time. Dealer couldn't simulate. Nor fix my trip odometers from resetting to zero before 1000 miles. Had 2 recalls rear wiring harness and wiper motors. Turning radius is poor, hard to pull in a parking space. The collision alert system can distract from the situation. Still all in all, I like the purchase.

      I would like to know more about your transmission dip stick. This is one of those items that makes the truck difficult to self-service.

    Great video! I have a 22 F150 2.7 and I had a battery issue also. It was always in battery save mode, which infuriated me, all winter. It worked fine when I initially bought the truck, but battery condition declined steadily. Finally took it to the dealer and explained what was happening and they replaced the battery. It has worked great ever since then. This is my first dive into AGM type batteries and I didn’t realize how expensive those batteries are. Luckily, the dealer said it was covered under the warranty and that the battery was bad. I wish I did get the 360 camera package, unfortunately it was part of a package. I had to get the tow package also and I did not want to spend an extra $2000 combined on top of my lariat cost. Overall, love the truck and good luck with your truck.

Keep up the fine work of these videos, the content and quality are amazingly well done, I almost believe you worked in the movie industry when I watch. Loving my 2022 F-150 and your content has made my owning a F-150 better, due to your fine work with these videos. All the best to you and yours, a Guy from Iowa.

    Thanks for the video. If things go as planned, I should be purchasing a 24 XLT Powerboost at the end of this year. This is all very helpful information. I like that bed mat idea. I prefer a mat, but it usually doesn’t offer any bed wall protection. This looks like a great solution. 👍

      Mark, the very best mods are the ones that you install early on and you never have to mess with again, just like they were installed from the factory. I didn't know squat about bed liners two years ago when my son-in-law steered me to the DualLiner. About the same money as a bed spray from LineX and way more versatile/useful. One of my favorite additions. cheers

    I have just over 8k on my 23. So far i am very happy. Little wishes and complaints but overall pretty happy. My milage is consistantly 18.5 but run with about 500lbs of tools in the bed at all times and i dont baby it :) When i want to ive achieved 22+ on shorter drives. Freeway is the worst. Maybe i need to drive slower.

    I installed the "Talons Garage Cat Protector/Skid Plate" on my 2023 Platinum Powerboost after having the truck for six months and after the first oil change.
    Every six months I do my own engine oil changes at home, but when I did the second oil change I made a huge mess cause the used engine oil would drain directly on top of the skid plate.
    Do you offer any solutions for preventing engine oil from draining directly over the skid plate when doing an oil change?
    Thank you.

    Nice content.. question 1. in your mileage/cost did you mention what octane fuel you normally use? and question 2. I seem to remember a post from someone about a special filter or something additional with an oil change.. this post stated they had taken the truck to a dealer for service and the techs knew nothing about it, therefore they didn't change it ??

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Rand, I just use 87 octane because I'm not towing. I don't use a special filter, but I do use a Fumoto drain valve that I added in place of the normal drain bolt. I have no intentions of anyone else ever changing the oil, but I could see how a junior tech would be confused by a drain valve. I also have a Talons Garage cat protector plate so the tech would have to also remove the access hatch with 3mm allen bolts to get access to that drain valve. cheers

    When you changed out your AGM battery which brand did you use and why? Also, did you replace the smaller 12V battery located under the rear passenger side seat at the same time? Have you seen any issues in your research with that smaller accessory battery?

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Michael I did a whole video on the replacement battery decision: th-cam.com/video/wVxYJUMkbNk/w-d-xo.html I did not replace the aux battery at that time; the only purpose of the aux battery is to stabilize the electronics during high-current engine cranking. I did not have any issues with instability like that, so I ignored it for now. I might test it a year or two down the line, especially if I see the control modules reset during cold weather or cold start events. cheers

    Can you do a video on what tires youre running and a tire rotation tutorial with this truck

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Mark, I'm just running the stock Goodyear Wranglers and I fully expect to get 60K out of them. When I replace them, it will be with more of a street tire like the Michelin LTX which I've had good luck with in the past on other vehicles. Rotation? This is the only thing that I let the dealer do because I don't have the space or proper driveway to do this. (mine is too sloped) It's $20 which I think is reasonable for a 10 minute job. cheers

    • @808Mark
      @808Mark หลายเดือนก่อน

      @fixorrepairdiy4609 ah ok, wow $10 that is very cheap! I'm at 31k miles with my 21 powerboost and i need to replace my tires already🤦🏽‍♂️i wasn't on top of alignment and rotation and they're bald on the outer edges

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@808Mark Well, it's $20. Which I think is still very reasonable after my FordPass service points ran out. One thing that I'm really careful about is my cornering speed. I used my motorcycle riding techniques and do most of my braking in a straight line so by the time I'm turning most of the speed has been scrubbed off. My tires have very little edge wear as a result. Alignment will also help prevent wear if that is off.

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Mark, I haven't looked to see if these were available for the F150. As an alternative you could add a "plug" at the end of the Fumoto nipple if you wanted a fail-safe. I might look into doing this. And I have never heard of a Fumoto just "letting go" and dumping oil, so I'm sure you'll be fine. Make sure that you order the one that's in my link, as the threads will match, and the long nipple will help. cheers
