@@trihardcx6743you can have the m sport with standard exhaust though. Not sure the other way around, but this one had the sport exhaust, just wasnt put into sport mode. I wouldnt have gone with a x pipe and kept the factory muffler.
The cats are after the turbos in the valley and can be removed. It may have sounded a lil louder if the valves were opened before removing the muffler.
@@dennistv598 I have a G11 G12 750i myself and there are no rev limiters. I was able to reach full 7K either in Park or Neutral. I think the problem is either the muffler is too overpowering since it’s a luxury sedan or if it’s because of the exhaust flaps were closed at that time. The newer BMW models have exhaust flaps that remains closed when the car doesn’t reach a certain temperature.
Cats can only be built into the header or down pipe , you’re correct about the location of the cats though it’s a “hot vee” setup with manifolds exhausted in the center on the v
Curious if you can tell me how loud the interior noise is? My car is catless and I just removed the two resonators. Barely any noticeable sound difference which is crazy. I’m thinking of removing the rear suitcase as well but if this car had any interior drone, mine will certainly be worse without the cats. Thanks!
Down pipes are very easy unbolt at the top and at the bottom give a hell of a wiggle and they will slide out of the valley at the back of the motor you will pick up turbo whistle and big hp and torque to the wheels plus doubles the driving experience with those turbos screaming.

Won't that be hard on the valves? You need some back pressure. Maybe since its not being raced down a track and pushed to the extremes, it wont matter. Sounds great though
no it’s a turboed car it should be all fine with all the resistance with the back pressure the turbo needs to breath so this shouldn’t have any effects
The '06 does have twin pipes.....they just tie into one muffler. The tips are hidden on the '06 as well so you would just have the sound without the look

Clearly you dont know what you're talking about. No car will throw codes by removing a resonator. Resonators do not have sensors nor will trigger a code as they are purely on vehicles for sound. If a code comes up by removing a resonator, you have bigger problems with the car. Sit down, kid.
None of the emissions compliance parts were removed, so yes it will still pass. Resonators / mufflers are for sound control. If they had removed the catalytic converters, it would likely not pass, but these modern engines run so clean, that may not matter either.

This BMW they have the cats mounted below at the sides of the engine near the downpipe like literally go look it up for urself Cuz they would never put catalytic converters on top of the engine in the engine bay cuz they get hot & can cause the engine to overheat

No car will have a CEL by removing resonators as the ECU will not know if the resonator is on the car or not.

You just have to plug the vacuum hoses that connect to the exhaust plugs so you don't get a vacuum leak. No boost issues if you do that.

this is not a true dual exhaust. true dual means that there is no x-pipe, h-pipe, y-pipe, the 2 exhaust sides do not connect at all.
