    Fish and Chips
    Have not set foot in a pub (bar to our American friends) for ages and as we are in lockdown as of today 10 January 2021 thought I would make a pub lunch using my Swedish M40.

    I don’t know about you but I miss the whole thing of walking into a Weatherspoons and ordering a pint.
    Almost forgotten what it’s like to walk past the smokers outside upon entering then having to make more effort to walk as my feet are sticking to the carpet. Finally at the bar it’s time to order....
    Oh how I miss pubs.
    Still hopefully it will not be long and we can all say Screw You Covid I’m off to get pissed.
    I upload a new stove video every Tuesday and so if you are curious as to what is coming up next why not subscribe......
    Thanks for your support it’s greatly appreciated.

    I would never have thought that type of meal was possible on the M40. Bravo👍

      Thank you. I’m constantly thinking of new ideas. Some work but others do not go so well so I put them down as a learning experience. Glad the video was useful to you

    Throw that left over batter in too. Makes crunches to eat.

      It’s a great piece of kit. The only downside is that it has not got a simmer ring. However, I plan to make a video about that soon so stay tuned as it may be of some interest to you.

    Er? What did you do with the oil after you finished cooking the fish and chips?

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I let it cool then re-bottled it. Would have probably used it one more time before disposing of it. That was an early vid shot in my garden during a break from the renovation project. Thanks for the question

    If your mouth wasn't watering by the end of the video you're not really British.
    Saw that you've discovered the Tatonka simmer ring in another of your videos - good aren't they?

      Hi Jeffrey, yes the Tatonka is ace. I came across it while doing some research and was not sure if it worked or not so bought one.
      Thanks

    What did you use to strip off the paint?

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bartoline TX10 Paint and Varnish Stripper. Bought it from my local Propper Job Shop only because it was cheap and available at the time. The stuff has little to no odour. Think I had to give it two or three applications as paint strippers are not what they used to be years ago. All the best

    Watched a guy from belguim (I think ) doing this on another channel .
    I'm also living the regret of losing mine post divorce and house move.

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sorry for your loss. Not the divorce, losing the pot lol. As you probably know they are very rare now and ridiculously expensive. On the upside do an internet search for the Pathfinder Swiss Mess Kit if you have not seen them before. It’s a clone that is probably made in China (feel free to correct me if that is not the case) It’s not cheap but actually looks the business. Shame it’s the pot and windshield as a kit and alcohol stove as an additional item. It would be nice if they just sold the pot so a person could then buy an original windshield then pair it with a Trangia to give the whole kit some semblance of authenticity. That is of course if the new Pathfinder fits with the original windshield. Hope you find a replacement some day 👍
