Hey there CBCTeam. I was thinking about starting a TH-cam channel about reviewing breweries and stuff. Do yall have problems with monetization because your content is about alcohol?
I guess whether that monetization is actually relevant is another matter. TH-cam doesn’t pay much until you’re in the tens of thousands subs, and even then it’s hardly more than tipping.
@@mrougelot oh definitely. I was just curious because this channel has a lot of views and it revolves around “adult related” topics...alcohol. TH-cam can be super strict from what I hear.
Hey lads. I really enjoy the quality of your videos. The perspective and different slices of industry are always fun for me. I especially enjoy your videos like this, and the ones that follow you collaborating and homebrewing. Cheers
a great video, i love hearing about all these wonderful english apple varieties (despite our supermarket best efforts to give us just 3!) A proper english product and not even a mention of our cousins across the pond too
I remember a few years back there was a show where James May and Oz Clark travelled about drinking wine. Think it's only a matter of time until a craft equivalent, should be you guys presenting would be great going by this content: good level of depth, accessible yet easy watching.
Thanks so much! we'd love to do a TV show about beer and cider, never got very far with that idea though so we keep focusing on TH-cam and try to make a living and an impact that way
This is class! I did my first ever proper cider this year. My neighbour has like 6 apple trees in his garden and never used them. The 6.5 gals of cider I got is beautiful and complex. I used a cider yeast rather than the natural stuff off the skins. Currently sitting in corny keg maturing away.
Thanks for this video, I really enjoyed this. I don't know that much about cider other than it gives me a stinking hangover the next day if I drink more that 2 pints of it.
We discovered a local Cidery this year. They go to Herefordshire and bring the apples back to press. It's bloody delicious, they even had ae kegged last time I went which was fantastic.
I really got into low intervention cider this summer thanks to a combination of lockdown, Pellicle's cider-based stories and Hop Burns and Black having a decent range in (Little Pomona, Oliver's, Pilton, Duckchicken!) The flavours were quite different from the bright orange traditional 'rough cider' I grew up drinking in Somerset (which still holds a place in my heart!). Although it seems Cheddar Valley has now been rebranded as some sort of 'craft' cider called 'Stan's'(?!). RIP my memories.
Brilliant. I love the Good beer hunting article. I love this video. I love that fact it shot on phone. Only one little question! Why is this not in the Beer School section??

None at all - the occasional review but always approved.
@@TheCraftBeerChannel thank you so much for the help. Love your channel!

Hands up! Who learned a lot about cider here? I could almost feel my brain expanding as I edited this.
This was great - such a craft. Need a cider now!
I’m not a huge cider drinker, but I always love visiting cider producers. Such a different experience to clean, sterile breweries!

Thanks so much Justin! Hoping there will be lots more as the world opens up a bit more

What an excellent video....many thanks indeed 😎

That was amazing! Never been that interested in cider before, but now I want to find out more. Nice, nice, nice.
Love to hear that! Both the cider makers in this video make incredible stuff.

Well if it is as strong as the naturally fermented stuff is, then drinking it in pints is always going to do that!
@@TheCraftBeerChannel Very true.. I have never really shown the love and respect cider deserves. Especially well-made cider that you've just tried.
Wow never heard of a fermented quince drink, sounds very interesting, love to learn more about cider making!
God that juice was SO GOOD. Can't wait to see how it turns out...in about two years.
Great video and great pullover :D
Should merch some woolly jumpers up!
@@TheCraftBeerChannel 10/10 would buy :D
With the logo stiched on the front. Simple but cool :D
This was great, never been into cider but this was an eye opener and I’m inclined to get few bottles now
If you're a fan of geuze then some of these natural ciders will be right up your street - very different but the same reference points.

What's the name of it?

12:12 : is that Roddy Graham (a whisky expert) ??
Very interesting video, I miss English cider (it's extremely hard to find in France).
It sure is Roddy!
Quince saison is now on the brew schedule
Do you have a link to the video you mentioned at the end tasting cider?
Right here: th-cam.com/video/u4mI7JyU_9U/w-d-xo.html
Great video... was I picking up on, was that- its almost a sherbety character
Haha. It was everywhere!
Great to know that you have other ciders apart from Strongbow, the Heineken of ciders.
We have a wonderful natural cider scene, just finding its feet after decades of fight capitalist interests and then the domination of craft beer!
Brilliant. I love the Good beer hunting article. I love this video. I love that fact it shot on phone. Only one little question! Why is this not in the Beer School section??
Glad you like it! We didnt think this was quite the right format for beer school - a bit more travel than school.
@@TheCraftBeerChannel fair play looking forward to next week episode.
Do you know what size or type of rootstock those trees are in? Half standard or semi dwarf. They look smaller than full size and bigger than dwarfs.
Afraid I don't - I suggest you contact Little Pomona I'm sure they'd love to answer any questions
Any recs on beer writers blogging/writing on cider?
100%! Check out Gabe Cook, and various writers across Pellicle and Good Beer Hunting - Claire Bullen, Lily Waite, Matt Curtis, Anthony Gladman
@@TheCraftBeerChannel thanks my dudes
I’m just here with the popcorn waiting for people who are outraged that cider has been discussed on the channel 😂😂
I am READY for them.
Maybe one day I'll get into cider. Maybe. I've tried some "funky" cider and still found it too sweet.
Interesting - there is always some perceived sweetness but these beers are fermented to be bone dry
Bugger me, it's like making Lambic and Geuze!
Which is exactly what drew us to it!
You shoukd have gone to THE cider country Somerset
We will do all the cider counties eventually or hope!
Cider is still a huge unknown to 98% of the population here in Italy, and they grow tons of great Apples!
What happens to them?!
