I love Entrapta...who is, incidentally, kinda responsible for me getting a late-in-life autism diagnosis recently. (Representation matters, folks! Even when it isn't 100% ideal) Me (watching Entrapta): LOL, so relatable! This is the 'me' of this show, isn't it? Show creators: Yeah, so Entrapta was written to be autistic... Me: Huh. OK, I should probably look into that, because this is not the first time I've deeply related to a character like this. 1 year later, after researching stories from autistic women: OK, yeah, this all feels REALLY familiar. But I'm doing fine, I've worked out my own systems for how to do things. At last! We have Drunk Adora, the greatest, most hilarious creation of the entire show! Also, yeah, Entrapta kinda puts the "mad" in mad sceientist, and her magic hair powers take same getting used to, but she's one of my favorites now. I also love the lesson with Bow and the kitchen staff that you don't need to have great power or strength to be useful, just use your own strengths.
Everyone in the cast: "That's a bad idea." Audience: "It would be a terrible idea." Entire universe: "If you do the thing, bad things are guaranteed to happen." Entrapta: "BUT IT WOULD ALSO BE EXTREMELY COOL!!"
Adora's voice actress is Aimee Carrero. She's absolutely brilliant. Great at conveying pretty much any emotion, though her comedic talent definitely stands out. She's my favorite VA of the show, tho Catra and Shadow Weaver's VA's are a close second. To be honest, there are no bad VA's in this show. Everyone is just amazing.
Now I know why her Opal in Critical Role felt familiar in a way I couldn't explain. I think Entrapta and the discussion around her neurodivergance was my real first insight into my own ND/autism journey: there was no point in Entrapta's story in this series that I went, "I don't understand why she's doing this", everything made sense and followed a very logical path to me. I didn't even question Entrapta's mobility/dexterity using her hair, because that seemed perfectly sensible: if you could design artificial hair or had magic powers to have hair like that, why wouldn't you use it in that way? Hell, the idea of having robots do all of the boring parts of biological maintenance that I hate for me is *greatly* appealing.
Are you sure? I have seen people say the exact opposite: that the creators confirmed her hair is magical. Which would make sense given that all the princesses in the show have a magical power, and Entrapta never shows any other magical power. So if her hair is not magical, that would imply she has no magic at all even though all the other princesses do. So why does she have no magic? We also never see any indication of her hair having technological implants or cybernetic components. Which would've been really easy for the creator to show at some point in the show. If the creators intended it to be cybernetic, why not show that in the show?
@@omegastar19 She doesn't have a crystal like Glimmer, that we see, so it makes sense that her hair specifically isn't magical, as for the implants, I believe it was from some concept art or something, and it's not really an important enough detail to warrant taking up time in the show, necessarily.

I feel the need to inform everyone here that the writers have discussed that if Entrapta didn’t shave her legs and took her pants off that she would be able to slide along the floor using her leg hairs
I love how they made Entrapta so much. It’s really like seeing myself in the show, and they never try to blame things that happen with her on her disability (which is autism). I wish more shows would do that. Usually if they try to make positive portrayals of autistic people, it seems like they still have autism as the centerpiece of all their actions, not something that simply affects their decisions at times. Entrapta is such good representation because until it was actually stated by the writer, most people didn’t think too much of it. I always did, because I share a lot of her behaviors. It’s surreal to see yourself represented properly for the first time. I personally believe this is how autism SHOULD be displayed in any type of media. Yes, she’s a little eccentric, and impulsive, and hyper focuses at the things she’s good at. But she’s not just completely unaware of how her actions affect others, and she doesn’t just blurt out whatever she’s thinking, or whine the moment she feels discomfort. That’s what I think autism should be shown as. Anyway, sorry. This was just my little Entrapta appreciation rant as someone with autism.
@@omegastar19 I would say that the next episode is a lot more than just " introducing characters and locations" though there is certainly some of that it also does a hell of a lot for catra and Adora's characters. Not to mention giving us a look into the mind of mum of the year, 😜
The mind altering abilities of First Ones tech are really frightening to consider. Sure, Drunk Adora is funny. But you have to balance it against things like Rage Virus She-Ra, the glimpses we saw of infant Adora's memories in the first episode, and even the complete erasure of the memory of Adora's existence from the minds of everyone on her homeworld. I shudder to think of what harm could be done if this tech would fall into malevolent hands.
Can't wait for Princess Prom where it's revealed Catra is invited because her full royal title, Princess Catra Applesauce Meowmeow, still holds up in the old accords even after her family defected to the Horde.
Oh hey, I havent left a fake spoiler in a while. Just wanted to say that I can't wait til you get to the episode where entrapta starts dating hordak. So touching!
Entrapta's hair moves like that due to cybernetic implants. And to prevent what could be some squick later, Entrapta is one of the older characters in the show. Early-mid 30s.
Your reaction to Entrapta's line to Glimmer is too funny, because this show never gives you the romances you expect. I mean, we get Kyle x Glimmer, Bow x Seahawk, Scorpia x Perfuma, Shadow Weaver x Angella, Entrapta x Hordak... the list goes on!
HUH? Kyle x Glimmer? Bow x Seahawk? Shadow Weaver x Angella? Those characters don't get together. Yes, Scorpia seems to get together with Perfuma, same with Entrapta and Hordak. But still, your comment is a little confusing.

She also learns from her mistakes and develops as a character. That's important too.
Yay everyones favourite morally dubious scientist is here, now the story starts picking up, episode 8 here we come
Nah we still have one more 'introducing characters and locations' episode to go through :P
@@omegastar19 I would say that the next episode is a lot more than just " introducing characters and locations" though there is certainly some of that it also does a hell of a lot for catra and Adora's characters.
Not to mention giving us a look into the mind of mum of the year, 😜
1. Entrapta owns a piece of my heart
2. Gus and Bow would geek out so hard together
This is one of my favorite episodes. Best princess entrapta is finally introduced and the funniest character in the show, drunk adora, is introduced
The lack of a "Hey, Adora" is made up for with it being a "drunk Adora" episode
This episode gave us drunk Adora and Entrapta, so basically it's one of the best in the series
Okay ive seen a few comments about something like this and its making me nervous LOL
Entrapta's hair is apparently cybernetic, according to Nate.
DRUNK ADORA HAS ARRIVED
Easily one of the funniest things in the series
Entrapta being the future daughter of Amity is going to be a great reveal once you get to it!
Entrapta's hair moves like that due to cybernetic implants. And to prevent what could be some squick later, Entrapta is one of the older characters in the show. Early-mid 30s.
Ah yes, drunk Adora my beloved 😂
@@Sheamuscz Don't forget, Moscow wants commentators to post both real & fake spoilers so she won't feel like she's been told things ahead of time and can decide for herself which ones she believes in until the show confirms the correct spoilers itself.
Entrapta, my favorite character in She Ra.
I relate to them a lot and was waiting for you to reach this episode because of that
She is such a transition goal for me 🏳️⚧️
Entrapta manages to both be the most annoying, funniest and sweetest character all at once. No idea who tf they managed that.
8:23 Entrapta Loves Tiny Food.
entrapta is one of my favorite characters. she is confirmed autistic and in her mid 30s. I relate to her so much
I thought she was in her late 20s and early 30s during the show?
I don't normally favor the main characters of shows as well i think the only exceptions are Owl House, Kill la Kill, Princess Half-Demon, and of course She-ra
Ahhh, Entrapta. Well, at least we get a few excellent episodes with her before her death.
Entrapta is my second favorite for sure behind an evil kitty we all know.
I keep forgetting that these Reactions are premiering on Saturdays, and I'm constantly pleasantly surprised when I see it on my notifications! Entrapta is one of my favorite characters in the show, and the way they 'reimagined' her character compared to the old '80s cartoon was great (as they did with most all of the characters, honestly).
Ah drunk Adora.
Just as fun as when she and Shadow Weaver accidently get high on some plants. Love that episode.
Catra can be so mischievous sometimes. They act as high as cats on catnip. XD
It really is sad that we don't get more drunk Adora. Why did the writers decide to kill Entrapta before the disk came back?
And we finally meet one of my favorite characters in the whole show; Entrapta! She is tied with Mermista for my favorite princess, and I think her character is really fun, as well as surprisingly consistent throughout the whole show.
And now we've had Entrapta and Scorpia, two of my favorite characters. Admittedly, this show is really good at characters anyways...
They are my favs too
13:37 probably don't read into that language. Entrapta's like 29.
Entrapta controls her hair via magic kinda like how Perfuma controls plants. The real fun happens when Entrapta realizes she can control She-ras hair via. first ones tech. It’s absolute chaos, you’re gonna love it!
I like the bit where she tries to control Catra's tail because she thinks it's nothing but hair. Catra's VA must have had so much fun with that scene.
@@Blazingstoke that’s Entrapta’s power, hair control, it’s part of why she has trouble controlling Hordak, as he’s bald…
To me entrapta always gave of dock ock vibes, especially with the way her hair moves around and is completely prehensile, it reminds me of dock ocks tentacles!
Yasss! I have been checking my notifications non stop to see when you reacted about this :D mainly cause entrapta is without a doubt my favourite princess
YESSS ENTRAPTA MY QUEEN. Best character of the show right here
Finally, drunk Adora. And you got the name right that's what we call her.
Good job on picking up how specific you need to be with Entrapta. The weapons need to work, and not be evil.
Entrapta is easily my favourite character from this entire series and it's 110% because she's canonically autistic
I flapped my hands so much while watching this. X)
I'll tell you what you're feeling about Entrapta's hair. That feeling is envy.
8:53 - Honestly your intuition isn't entirely off lol
MY FAVORITE CHARACTER ARRIVES! I freaking love her scatterbrained, nerdy nature. She's just so excitable!! Also she gets distracted by cool new things all the time like me.
There was a great article back when this episode first came out that described Entrapta as 'pure chatotic neutral'.
I love Entrapta more than I love breathing ❤❤❤
Entrapta would never make machines for evil.
NOTE FOR MODS (Kinda spoiler-y):
Once she gets past the second time they use the disk, should definitely make her watch the Drunk Adora compilation video in all its infamy
That compilation is what pushed me over the edge into watching this show.... it's so much fun!
Entrapta is possibly my favourite character of the show
Entrapta is my absolute favorite character, shes literally me but in a cartoon, and im loving it.
There are some absolute CRACKED screenshots in this show that are soooo worth cheking out
15:30 Catra in corner of room: 😃
YESSS LESS GOOO ENTRAPTA IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AS AN ENGINNERRING STUDENT WHO LOVES TINY THINGS I LOVE HER SO MUCHCHHH LESS GOOOOOO
can’t wait for you to react to Entrapta’s devastating death scene and then when she’s brought back to life and falls in love with hordak and they have a big wedding with everyone wearing big poofy wedding dresses
9:30 ‘does the hair have bone and muscle’ 💀💀NO it’s MAGIC please don’t ruin the hair for me 😭😭now I have an image in my mind that will haunt me in my dreams😂🥲
3:07 so you...prefer tentacle hair
7:49 hehe gone from welcome to 'you're abnormally tall' aaa 8:32 yess please idk why i love that so much
11:18
17:51 hehe why
Lol Entrapta is great! Probably one of the smartest ways they got around showing a dead body; doesn't count as a dead body if its a robot and the pilot hair is still around
Finally time for my follow up comment. As I mentioned in a previous comment, a majority if the princesses are between 16-18, with one 14 year old. And then there’s Entrapta (my boo) who is canonically in her thirties! She is by far my favorite character, I love her, and even based a gaming character I played for two years on her.
I can wait for them to find a magic warship and drown a strip- i mean, underground club...
Our first instance of drunk Adora
It was a weird choice to keep Adora "drunk" for the rest of the season, but it sure was funny!
Ah, Entrapta. If I had a nickel for every time I fell in love with a show because I identified a little too closely with a purple autistic tech genius of questionable moral standards, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice...
Can i just point out SWORD SAFETY!!
Sure, it's all heart warming to recruit the "normal" people now, but the regrets hit like a load of bricks in a few episodes when they're all slaughtered in horrifying ways by the Horde because they *don't have fecking military training*.
I love Entrapta because she's just chaos, it's always hilarious to watch XD
