@@mikaylastagg7763 UPDATE : omg it went so smooth 😂 I should have been flying because literally it was not even as bad as I thought. TSA even went smooth for me but that part is pretty annoying but outside of that … the flight went well. My ears were popping when heading to FL but not when flying back to Memphis. I’m flying again in August 🥰

As far as checked bags for American Airlines, you have to add & pay separately for your checked luggage 24 hrs before the trip while checking in. Currently $35 for 1st bag, I believe $40 for additional.
I think Spirit allows you to pay for ticket and luggage at the same time.
You are right about it American Airlines!! They make you pay for each bag. I have to take American every time I visit my family in Barbados.

Erica, be careful when you talk about direct flights. There is a difference between direct (stops somewhere but you don't have to change plans) versus Nonstop flights ( no stopping between departure and destination cities). A lot of people confuse the two.
Also, have you ever used a cost splitting app? Taking a trip with friend in a few months and wondered if you had a suggestion.
