@@LonnieJohnson1 Carb all cleaned out and put back together, purring like a kitten! Thanks again for your awesome video. I did end up taking out the choke and unhooking the throttle cable from the thumb lever so I could really clean out all the fuel and air channels on my workbench since I didn't have a cool pan to disassemble it like you have.
I have an 08 and the other day it was cutting out. I changed the oil and cleaned the air filter. After changing the oil it started blowing white smoke. It didn’t before the oil change. Also if I give it any gas it immediately dies. Is it a fuel issue or do you think I just need to clean the carburetor? Thanks for the video
Check the oil and then spray gas in the carburetor to see if it will start. If it starts then you know it will run. Once you get it running good change your fluids, spark plug and check your brakes to see if they need replaced. Nothing worse than not having brakes. Also check your gear oil in the differential.
Thanks Lonnie. It's people like you who make TH-cam great!!
Your welcome and thanks!
Very good explanation of how to remove the carb for this model.
Thanks
Very informative video. You saved me from having to remove the rear fender to get the air box out to slip out the carb.
Thanks
About to take out my dad's 400 carb, thanks for the step by step on how to get to it!

I would clean the carb. Now days when I know I'm not going to be riding for a while I shut the fuel off and run the fuel from the carb.
Thanks!! Greetings from Argentina!!
You're welcome

Your welcome, glad to help.
Do you know if the carburetor on a 2006 and 2007 are the same
Not sure but they could be or probably real close.
How’s you clean that little jet
I used tag wire or torch wire.
Take the coating off a bread bag twist tie then use the wire inside that's what I use
Does this work for the 400 also? I have the Excact same atv but uts a 400
It should
@@LonnieJohnson1 thanks. I just bought a 400 that was sitting for over 5 yrs. Where should i start to get it up to date on maintenance?

@@LonnieJohnson1 my brakes are stuck. How do i release them so i can free the wheels?
Whew these carbs are a bit pricey if you don't with a chinese clone!
My 07 is good now, but I'll save this video when the day comes to clean her out!
OEM carburetor are not cheap for this quad. I don't want to have to buy one for sure.
