    Love the sound of a Cat 3306 chooching away 😁 I ran a D6D for a bit pushing dirt. Nothing like hearing these old machines putting in work

      And buddy they can eat! Hydraulic fuel, oil, water and diesel. Start er up and the suction begins!! Haha man do these diesels sound awesome though!

    Excellent video thanks Hayden. It almost felt like I was there. Please put some more videos up. From the seat view is great but it would be good to see some from the side so we can see the whole machine. Do you need to clear the brush back to get more field area or is it for something specific like a building ?

      when we moved here roughly 20 years ago we had timber cut, stumped and pushed into piles along the tree lines, burned all we could then had them push it down again. so its just grown up over the years and has taken away pasture. i have over an hours worth of me running it but i have got to sit down and buy a editing program i guess and figure it out. i will get some side view action next time i run it, also thought about mounting the go pro on the front of the rops to only see the action out front and not my legs lol.

    Can anybody tell me why grease is used to keep tracks tight? I now have to replace the freakin seal😡. Why not just have it tensioned by a monster threaded shaft that you could turn? I’m sure they got a good reason but ticks me off to have to drop track to replace a stupid seal!

      They used to way back in the day like mid 1950’s. Grease was brought in as it’s very easy to adjust the tracks rather than the threaded rod and adjusting nut seizing up. The track adjuster on a 977 is easy to repair especially if you have the gator style master clamps for the tracks. I rebuilt my left adjuster on mine and had to press the master pin which was a pain

      It’s an L. Changed from K to L at s/n 11k3919. Mine is 11k404x.

      No track loader does. Some people throttle down to shift others don’t. Doesn’t make a difference if you do or don’t.

    u dont throtle down when u change gears meant to run full throtle all the time

      Do it on a dozer can do it on a loader. Wont hurt a thing.

    You supposed to have long pants on and work boots steel toe long sleeve shirt so you don't get poison ivy operating heavy equipment is not a luxury it's a job taking very seriously

      Yeah I know. It was 90+ outside. Not making excuses but had worked 10 hours at my day job in work pants and boots couldn’t stand it any more in that attire.

      Why not its got to be easier on the trans instead of full noise forward to reverse. Makes sense to.

      If it was designed to decelerate it would have foot throttle !!.
      The whole idea of powershift is to speed up the cycle !!.
      We've run em all and never decelerate unless backing out of boggy ground

      Still working fine no issues, dozers have decelerator pedal same difference only I’m doing it with the throttle lever rather than a pedal.

      @@HaydenIngram those trans were dezignedto shift under full throttle they have a modulating valve that doesnt apply full clutcth pressure for a second 30 per cent if mem serves me correct
