► Normally in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu, you start with Pikachu. Normally in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee, you start with Eevee. What would happen if we changed that? Today, I'll be modifying the game with PkNX and PKHEX to allow me to start with a Mewtwo in my Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu game, and see what happens! After that, I'll also be seeing what happens if you get a normal starter, the Eevee starter, but with a twist - I'll be getting the starter Eevee in my Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu game!

Well maybe they did one program for both games and just adapted it based on the first letter

The core code and functions are the same in both games. Some minor changes but as long as you don't do anything insane, you can switch your starters around safely.

Would be intresting to see what happens if you change the started of your rival (when he grabs the ball). If the change is actually stored and implemented throught the game.
I suppose its pre programmed (levels and pokemons) with 3 alternative depending which he gets. If he dont have any of them who knows

I'm thinking it's actually because from that point on it needs to be able to load the custom model for your partner since you can put on outfits. Before that conversation it was using the generic model, hence the Eevee.

I just wanna point out that despite this being on let's go pikachu, it displays the recognition of eevee as "an eevee". Realistically, this would say "a eevee" based on "a pikachu" as it should be. So the game is kinda aware of the change?
