he's more useful than clefairy and eevee most of the time. He at least attacks with hydro pump fairly often. Most of the time clefairy or eevee will do helping hand while on a shield.
Clefairy can be helpful with follow me sometimes but in a pangoro raid magikarp and dhelmise practically carried the battle when I was knocked out

The gigantimaxed charizard in my playthrough dodged snipershot(I think that's what its called) one-shot my intention, and made me white out cause it was my last pokemon after his gorrilaboom oneshot everything

I would’ve given him Flail instead of Splash, since that actually does something. Also if your starter is sobble, you don’t have to go through the Mr Rime, instead getting Rhyperior. You can also choose grookey to easily defeat cinderace
