References were a 12/10, I like how they didn't feel the need to show everything at random times, they referenced relevant character to the plot during relevant scenes. Like Diddy Kong being told to be quiet during DKs entrance, or Dry Bones being killed only by lava, and Snifit being in charge of turning in Luigi to Bowser. It just all felt right where it should've been. I love how the Bob-obs were shown as playthings for the Koopas as they winded them up and scared the little guys, and I can see Yoshi being in a sequel. I like that they didn't see the need to include him in the first movie. Dialogue was a 5/10 (Peach and Bowsers lines felt weird to me) Plot was very clever, got weird later on, so I'll give it a 8/10. Though I will note that I'm surprised anything good came out of it. I never would've assumed a solid story for a movie could come out of something like Mario, it's amazing! World Builing was superb 10/10, I like that they made factions out of the Donkeys, Toad Kingdom, and Bowser's kingdom, with Shy Guys Animation was a godamn 20/5 Overall movie, if you ignore the clichès with dialogue and a few scenes, and remember it's a kid's movie, 10/10 If you don't ignore diologue, or treat it as a movie directed by an Oscar award winning director, it's a 7/10. Which is not a fair way to look at it. I think it was amazingly handled. Plain and Simple.

Bringing in the DK Rap song was so nostalgic, Donkey Kong needs his own movie.
I screamed with excitement when they added this song to the movie. It brought me back to my childhood.
