When the new division have worse tanks than the existing infantry division and worse infantry than the existing tank division, and still have less plane to top it off
They could have done so many things with this division, they said it would be a balance between 2nd and 1st but its just a worse version of both. Imagine if this and 2nd were the only british divs in the game and 1st was the division coming in northag, it would make 1st actually look like a really good division.
I don't get this decks' design man, it feels like the designer was a having a schizo phase where he can't seem to think which direction he wanted to take the deck in, and then he just said fuck it you get neither
T72 and t55 especially those in the new divs make chieftains look so bad that they should close the gap from both side. Then 4th armoured really should just get a lot cheaper AP infantry cards. If they are worried ppl will just spam upvetted truck infantry then replace the base cards with riflemen (metal box) cards etc. to force the mechanized flavour.
I really wish they had kept some form of the phase system from SD2, apart from how it effected the pacing of matches, it really provided an opportunity to diversify divisions and deck builds.
The official history of the war states "Within the total, only five Argentine aircraft might have been shot down by Rapier, and, as originally noted by Ethell and Price, only one of these was certain, with two probables and two possibles. Similar discrepancies arose over other weapons systems, notably Blowpipe (one confirmed against nine claimed and two probables) and Sea Cat (zero to one against eight claimed and two probables). This confirmation that MoD had exaggerated, however unwittingly, the capabilities of Rapier was deemed to be political, as it was observed that if this assessment became widely known it 'could have serious adverse effects on sales' prospects for Rapier, which was a staple revenue-earner for BAe's Dynamic Group."[23]
Remember watching a documentary on the Falklands. One of the Rapiers guarding the ships, 'it's tracking system would not work and the operator could not get it working. One of the ships was hit which had the Welsh guards onboard. they took terrible casualties. over time newer rapier systems were improved and did get better, the 1st ones were shit.
I think you guys might be underrating this division too much. Before IFVs existed, tanks filled the role of IFVs, fighting in close support of infantry that was carried into battle by APCs, that's how the div is set up to play, with L7-armed AVREs and/or Chieftain 6/2s filling in where the Warriors would in 1st. Double-vetted Chieftain Mk 9s and Mk 11s will do well against anything other than 200+ point heavy tanks and they come in at a good price, and you have ATGMs and cluster planes for engaging stronger tanks, you can live without Challengers too. 4th gets equal or better slot prices than 1st in everything except the tank and recon tabs, and its infantry tab is quite a bit more generous. It gets the heavy artillery and radar AA 1st is lacking. It works differently from 1st UK but all in all I don't think one is strictly better or worse than the other here.

Love the deck builder saying this is an “A” rated, offensive, “best on the attack”, deck.
“A” what? “A” piece of garbage?
