    I want to thank you, Ryan Teal, and Matt Beck. I’m rookie barber cutting my girlfriends hair. She has so much density and so thick it was a mission to cut it. I didn’t understand some of the instructions but once I started it made sense. Great video! Blessings!

    Just got an aline yesterday, at a school and they did a phenomenal job at giving me the cut I had asked for. But I forget time and time again, that my hair WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE. I have Chewbacca hair! It always has a "bell shape" as I describe it and it bugs me so bad. I remembered this video from a few years back and cut the first to levels on my own, so if I messed up, I could only blame myself. 😆 It turned out fantastically. A huge breakthrough for me and my Chewbacca hair. Thanks so much for this video! ❤

    I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. I moved to Texas 2 years ago and can not find a stylist that can cut my hair right. I don't have course hair, but have thick hair which is not realized until someone starts working with my hair. Everyone keeps trying to layer, which I say wont work because my hair will just frizz in this humidity, and then my hair look awful. There comment is, oh I can get it to work. It doesn't. I have tried to explain how my previous stylist did, with my limited knowledge. This tutorial is exactly what I want. I cut it myself using Ryan Teal as a teacher. Very hard to do myself, but my hair lays so nice now. Which i could find someone like Ryan. Thank you

      Yes. I am not a fan of the clippered-off undercuts, if that's what you mean? I know it's edgy, but you CAN remove weight other ways and make it still cute if you EVER pull the hair up. I love this condensed cutting technique.

      @@myluckyyear They really need to know what condensed cutting is, using disconnection. This is a fast haircut, too, and is flawless in a cross check of each "floor, " because it's combed straight up and cut horizontally. I've used this a lot, but his approach and sectioning are even easier to understand.

    I recently got a haircut & 😫
    alright so my hair was long and since everything is close i decided to do it myself (ive done it before but i guess i lost my touch) so i did it & left it so crooked so i went to this salon like 2 wks later (owner was there) & asked her if she could fix it, i told her just cut it off, shoulder length is fine, she cut it and left it so heavy, its shoulder length but heavy idk how to explain, no layers, nothing i asked for layers, bc i knew it’ll look weird bc i have a lot of hair and thick-ish, i knew it be too heavy, my regular lady leaves my length but cuts it in light layers & it doesnt look too heavy, now idk what to do 😩 i loved they way u cut the layers in here thats exactly what i want.. i think ima wing it again & do it bc its sooo heavyyyy.. & my regular lady is not going to open in a couple more weeks 😢

    • @rain3743
      @rain3743 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think so. In theory, yes, because the weight is removed internally, so you keep that necessary longer top layer that weighs the hair down so it lays better. Just don't take it too short on the initial length. Maybe some other hair dressers could weigh in?

  • @cacrent87
    @cacrent87 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    when you mean cutting the weight off the hair, do you mean cutting the ends that are thin? Great video keep up the great work!

    My hair is long (18+ inches from nape), and I have unorganized curls. I wear it so long because my looks frizzy when it dries and I can top knot it long. When it's short, I have that A-frame helmet head look. Not so attractive. I live in the south so humidity fights me all year long. I would love some hair product, hair care reviews from drug store to high end. As well as hair cuts that would suit my texture.
