Mike!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been doing hair for 25 years and I'm a cutting specialist. I, however, have SUPER DUPER thick hair and I've never had a cut that gave me the movement I wanted. so true my hair is thick not straight but not super wavy it has so much body when I actually get a stylist who knows how to layer convex and take weight out, i love that you have brought attention to this and such a beautiful cut!!!! LOVE IT you are so talented!!!

This haircut is amazing, as someone who also has thick Asian hair I have had bad short haircuts and some good ones. It's all about understanding the person's hair and how it's going to look completely un-styled.

Often fellow Haircutters don’t have the “guts” to take out weight/ cut into it! I know this because clients tell me this and most of the time they use the wrong cutting shears. There’s a different between a texturizing shear and a thinner/ blending scissor.

I have thicker hair than this lady. It's difficult to know what to do with it. Some salons I've been to are baffled by what to do with it. It's embarrassing.

Mike! Question! My hair is thick like this but its also super long and curly. I have a similar haircut to take out the bulk and it looks great when I flat iron it. However, when I want to wear it natural it leaves my curls looking frizzy and undefined. What's a good middle ground cut for someone like me who has super thick hair and curls?

I love this haircut i have lots of hair and i cant have my hair free because of that... i have afraid to the thinner scissors...
There’s a different between a Thinner/ Blending shear and Texturizing shear. In the clip I mainly use a Texturizing shear (larger gaps between the teeth) to remove bulk. This lady had so much hair and that is why I posted this clip. Also when overusing a Thinner/ Blending Shear on such a hair texture that can be terrible. Again; ask your hairdresser to use a Texturizing shear on vertical section to eliminate the bulk this way there won't be cutting lines. Thanks for watching…
There’s a different between a Thinner/ Blending shear and a texturizing shear. Have your hair person use a texture shear and you’ll be golden and NEVER use such shears at the roots!! thanks for watching.... KARG
@@MikekargInc i had no idea thinning shears and texturizing shears were different. (And I even did a couple months at a cosmetology school) i have regular shears and a 2nd pair which i thought were thinning shears, but now im wondering if what i have is thinning or texturizing shears. This cut was amazing, and quick!!! I have such heavy thick long hair. Ive been dying for a haircut for so long, but my last cut was awful, i left in tears! I brought the person at the salon a picture of what i wanted and they did not even come close. The sad part is, the picture i brought was of MYSELF!! From about 2 years prior. Its not like i took a fancy pucture out of a magazine, no, i was very realistic and brought a picture of myself. I just wish the stylist was honest if they arent familiar with thinning hair and cutting thick hair and texturizing. I live in Connecticut, i doubt you do any work here(?)

Man, I want a stylist, who has the guts to thin out hair like that. I have like double the amount of hair, most people have and it's thick and wavy on top, curly at the neck. It's a NIGHTMARE to deal with.
I've even resorted to getting undercuts, even though I don't really like them.
I get so many clients because i take weight-out like that... with the KARG Sliding technology makes cutting hair so much easier and safe... don't undercut it's not always attractive looking.

I wish you could cut my hair. I once went to my hairdresser she cut my hair in 2 layers. My hair is just as thick and many as this lady, but its frizzy aswell. It was the worst day and hairstyle of my life

I have her kind of hair and this is the only style I can get stylists to do. I just want to have long laters with looking like I have shelves in my hair and apparently that’s impossible
