Shaw-naé’s unique ties to the community stem from her inheritance to history as an eighth-generation descendant of the United States' first free Black settlements. It is documented to prove its contribution to the Underground Railroad.
Shaw-naé’s House is today’s safe haven for soul food and its community. It feeds, teaches, and loves its guests from all around the world. Established in June 2021 in the wake of the pandemic, it is still thriving and proving passion over pension.
The entrepreneur family-owned business is making history exciting, fulfilling, and soulful in their quest to flourish as philanthropic entrepreneurs and leaders on Staten Island.

I had the pleasure of going there for take out. Shaw-Naé was such a gracious host ensuring that all her guests were well taken care of. She was such a delight. In conversation, I told her it was my birthday weekend. As I’m leaving about to pull off she runs to me with a free dessert ❤

I went there yesterday with a party of 8 and let me tell you, this is definitely SOME OF THE BEST FOOD I’VE EVER HAD!! The climax was when my group were talking and enjoying our meal, the owner came out to thank us and show us love! That was a great feeling! It’s always busy in there so make sure you call ahead and reserve a spot. The atmosphere is so homey and the owner is so friendly and inviting. The food is so amazing you can’t go wrong with anything off that menu. It’s is the absolute definition of soul food. VAN DUZER SINY

New subscriber here, watching and enjoying many videos from a year ago. Pastrami delis, soul food, Italian and red hot hot dogs. You should hop down just over the big bridge on the GSP to Keyport Fisheries. You get the best fresh seafood in 5 minutes. Scallops, chowder, eat out by the water. You and the viewers will love it. We go there once a month, drive almost an hour, it is that good. What Harold's is to pastrami, Keyport Fisheries is to seafood (or do I have that backwards?) Rick in Freehold

Wow! That place looks good! I'm a fussy eater. I like soul food, but there's lots of soul food that I don't like to eat. I think what Shaw-naé says about her food being unique 3:24 is correct. That turkey wing platter you had and the vegan platter Tobias had both looked delicious. Of this 16 minute vid, I'll bet at least 10 minutes was Matt saying "Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm."
And thanks for the ride across the new Goethals Bridge. I've crossed the old 1928 bridge hundreds of times, but I don't think I've been to Staten Island since the new bridge opened.

I pulled Shaw-nae's Soul Food Restaurant and Shawn's Table menus up. I instantly thought about calling my sister about both restaurants. As I was about to call her, she called me 😊😊. My sister and I will definitely go Shawn's Table .

We got a lot of cooks out here bro , I'm in park hill we got mainly Africans cooking,yet it's to sisters who cook soul food only tho and it's all crib's and outside spots. Glad you enjoyed your food and experience bro
