I miss these days. Growing up in Philly around this time was fun and hip hop was soo good back then. I like how they got the philly buildings in the beginning of the video.
Love seeing the Hilltop Hustlers rocking around the trashcan bonfire, especially Cool C (green jacket) at 1:33. Definitely a better time for him and Steady B.
This wasnt low budget back then wtf is this dude talking about. Them Alpina and that eagles jacket Cool C had on Was dope as hell and pathfinders were in.
Hilltop hustlers!!!! Cool c and Larry lar came to my high school back in the day, steel-high pa! It was lit😂😂😂 To bad cool c and steady b made that wrong move. Y'all music was dope! Philly legends.
Cool C on death row I believe. He was suppose to get execution or something like that, but they denied it..These men juss sitting in prison since the year I was born.
January 1991, America wouldn't shut up about the Persian Gulf War, Wheel Of Fortune daytime makes the transition from CBS to NBC (it only lasted eight more months), and Steady B was jammin' on Yo! MTV Raps with "Girl's Gonna Getcha". It would be his "swan song". Have not heard any new/later material from him since.
She ran thru the whole hilltop hustlers crew! Had cool c stepping on 3xd album cover and shit. Lol I never put the three videos together and peeped that shit.
Hip hop today is awesome! 2 Chainz has been dropping some cool verses in recent times, Lil Wayne too, Polo G is pretty amazing... I've been listening to Rick Ross today. He's not flawless, but he's still pretty good. I think Run The Jewels are among the best groups in Hip Hop. They are just killing it! But of more recent artists to debut... Polo G is the one I'm most excited about. He's awesome. He's got a great flow, great lyrics, great stories/messages. Really strong artist!
Hip-Hop in it's infancy, when using drugs wasn't cool only thing cool was rhyming after school and schooling rap fools on wax. No lil Wayne a.k.a lil dope fiend
@@fuzzardframes5275 well he would be in the second gen that's the second half of the '80s. From 1986 to like 1990-91. I'll would 3rd Gen is 1992 - 93 Nas ,Wu-Tang clan, Jay z, etc.
I really wish these guys were still around they did something stupid back in the day robbing a bank and they end up killing the first police Lady of Philadelphia as I remembers Steady B cool c got the death chair
You can Clearly see... They were low budget at this point. Only thing next was to get a regular job or return to school...OR commit crimes...I guess they chose the latter.

"Did they give Steady.B life...without parole? It seems like he should've been out by now"🤷🏾♂️
Yeah, he received life without the possibility of parole. I was shocked at the time when I read about his fate and that of Cool C.
Only reason I thin because it was a cop which the government take personal
Plus Steady in his 50s or 60s.Crazy he never had a chance to make kids and have grandkids.Been down since I was born
its a damn shame
Why is he dark then light

How many people recognize that was Jill Scott?
That is not Jill Scott is it
Looks like Da Youngstas in the vid🤔
We need that true Hip Hop bring back again in this modern day... cause youth is contamined by reggaeton & trap bullshit!!

Philly rap was heck of a lot better than the Gangsta Rap the West Coast had.
Hip-Hop in it's infancy, when using drugs wasn't cool only thing cool was rhyming after school and schooling rap fools on wax. No lil Wayne a.k.a lil dope fiend

This is the third generation of hip hop, not first....lol
Yeah that didn't change until like 92. When the West coast started coming up. The chronic etc
