As a New Yorker (Brooklynite) back then, we were very territorial when it came to Hip-Hop. We were always hesitant about rappers from outside the city but EST couldn't be denied! I remember my crew grudgingly saying "yo...this dude is a monster!" 33 years later, this remains true. EST is the first great lyricist from Philly (from our perspective). #RespectTheLegends
