Hi there, you just need to start the engine and shift the gears to make sure transmission has been reached to the normal operating temperature, after that, no need to keep the engine running for the oil level check.
Hi there, yes you can if you do it as quickly as possible, just don’t leave it like that. Normally I remove the transmission cooling hose while I’m adding the transmission fluid to monitor what is coming out of the transmission. You might need to use more fluid to remove the whole water.
Just so you know if the trans has over 120k miles and the fluid has yet to be changed its better to do this method 2-3 times while driving the car a week or so each time in between. You never want to completely flush the fluid at once in a trans that has over 120k miles without previous fluid changes.
👍
Hello, the oil level check is to be done with the engine running or the engine stopped, thank you.

@@AutomotiveDiagnosis Hi, Great video and very helpful. Will you get a false reading if you check the fluid level with the engine running? Cheers.
Yesterday I got water in my A6LF2 transmission, ¿can i solve that with two fluid changes to get the water out of the torque converter?

Please can i put A6MF1 transmission on Hyundai Santa Fe 2010 with A6MF2
Hi there, No, the torque range on these two transmissions is different.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis thanks for your help
Will Motorcraft LV fluid (6 speed) work for my Hyundai elantra (6 speed)?
Use valvoline premium synthetic extended protection fluid in the grey bottle. Fluid used must meet hyundai/kia SP- standards
I just do a simple manual transmission style drain and fill on level ground.
Hi, this way you only replace 50% of the oil. the other 50% remains in the torque converter so this oil change is useless, it remains polluted.
