- Here's a look at the before and after dyno results from a Lancer Ralliart with a suite of modifications including an Evo Turbo which we recently re-tuned.
Brett also talks about the modifications necessary to bring the engine performance of these cars in line with that of an Evo.

Internals on Ralliart and evo x are exactly the same. Only differences engine wise are Ralliart uses 1 step hotter spark plugs with a smaller turbo and exhaust manifold. Also Ralliart has the piece of junk plastic BOV and smaller intercooler and piping. Lastly the air box and intake air duct are different.
Exactly
Yeah exactly what, do your research, different diffs, different management system, different brakes, different turbo and cooling, rims and tyres, suspension, and linkages, and chassis stabilisers. NOT QUITE EXACTLY. Your ralliart is just that a ralliart. An EVO is an EVO no shame in neither.
Just blew the turbo on my ralliart I need an entire mod list to upgrade to an evo x turbo can you help?
Where did you get the manifold for your turbo?
Hi Brett, I just brought a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer ralliart and I want you to service the car for me and to also have a look over the engine and gearbox. Where are you located??
Will the transmission hold up with the extra torque/power? I heard that the SST in the Ralliart model is a bit 'delicate' and a new one costs 13k?
Chiquicat the SST can handle 450hp at the wheels pretty safely if you don’t try to kill it racing constantly or don’t let trans cool down in between runs. Biggest enemy on that trans is heat. Upgrade your trans cooler to bigger one with electric fan and keep on top of fluid/filter maintenance and lastly make sure you use correct fluid and capacity and the trans can take the abuse.
I think that myth about the sst came from Subba fan bois....its a very strong box...but as you increase power you have to look at clutch's....the EXACT same thing you do with ANY manual gearbox
Anything around or over 350 torque and itll slip. Higher torque has been achieved on the stock sst but i wouldn't risk it.
Where did you get the strut bar ?
Looks like it's factory with a sticker on it
Any comments on finding someone that is certified or knows what they are doing on tuning a ralliart
Do you have any shops in NC USA
OT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE WHAT THEY VAN DO WITH MY CAR
ANY SHOPS IN NC USA ?
That's what I'm saying
Are internals different for real? everyone says are the same.
Same
Same...they are both 4B11T Engines
They're exactly the same just different bolt ons and tunes the Ralliart is a detuned Evo x with a single scroll Turbo instead of the the Evo X Twin Scroll and RA has a smaller intercooler and restricted soft piping hardware
So you only tuned it? Wow. Do you do VW?
We retuned it with existing modifications. the graph shows the difference between when the car was originally delivered vs. after the retune.
Sorry, we dont tune VWs at this stage.
MRT Performance Wow that old tune was pretty bad and no worries I'm in the states anyway. I thought you only did Subaru but these Mitsubishi videos made me wonder what all you do tune.
What Is the price looking like on a stock ralliart with a XC package now in 2020?
XC Kit is..... wait for it....$10'000.00 i kid you not...and its basically evo parts and a tune....not saying they do a bad job...there workmanship is good...but 10K ??
@@justaname1862 thats the 10k i forgot to put into initial sale price when i wanted an evo lol,,,, kidding bought a 08 wrx hatch instead and already have a front mount and vf52 tuned to 210kwatw
sale price 14.5--- mod price 3.9k
Anyone know exactly what turbo is used in this RA??
TD04HL-15T-7 in short TD04
@@Kingshock how do you know for sure?
can you convert this to HP
Quick question I heard different things about bov for evos saying that evos need to run full recirculation cause i have mine 50/50 half atmospheric is it safe ?
your fine. its only and issue if the car stalls when you come to a stop. most evos are good with common bolt ons if they are good quality and well balanced.
Its a gsr or a MR gsr your good but not if you own a MR
It isn't making much more than mine and I'm on stock turbo running 25psi..
@TOODankForYourMum good tuner.. a few bolt-ons. Check out my dyno vid. th-cam.com/video/Sv7X_LjAd4E/w-d-xo.html
You guys are so meticulous, I'm bringing my X to you.
Ralliart is not equipped with active yaw control.
yawn who cares
@@MA-oo7fw that's actually kinda important
@@Kingshock Not really, if you're throwing the car around as an experienced driver, you need to shut all that crap off as it makes handling VERY unpredictable. Even whatever stability control the Ralliart has needs to be off to drive the thing on the limit...
Internals are not different at all!
