Thank you Mikael for another magnificent video, you are a true inspiration. I have done alot of amazing fishing south of the equator but I have not felt such excitement to experience the Nordic region like I am at the moment. Again thank you for sharing your life experiences. Regards, Clint Engel from Australia ❤
Reminds me of the Scottish Highlands, the last fish was astoundingly beautiful but they all are beautiful. I remember fishing with my father in the 70's and we joked you could have walked across the backs of the fish to the other side. We never envisioned a time like this when they are so under threat. Keep up the good work and you have another subscriber.👍🏴
I wish my dad hadn’t stopped fishing and left me to find my own path (which I did, the passion goes where it needs to go). But I will never experience such moments again so truly treasure these, Mikael! Not every son is so lucky to have a passionate dad like you!
Fantastic video. It great to see the young lads doing so well. I am the same as you. Get great pleasure watching my son catch. I spent the 2024 season running up and down the banks of the River Tay to help my son. The bloody kid wouldn’t let me get near the water lol
👏 great job as always awesome to see some young fisherman like Jakob , my son is also named Jacob and he as well is in love with fly fishing for Atlantic salmon here in New Brunswick well tight lines can’t wait for the next video
Great video Mikael, looking forward to fishing there this season. Absolutely horrific to hear how many lice are found on a single fish though, so very sad and utterly frustrating when the problem is eradicated with containment pens
Have you been following the success of "resistance board weirs" in big rivers to keep out the cattle fish? There's one on the Etne to keep farmed fish out, and several going in for the pukkellaks up north
Looked like a fun trip . Some really nice water and great hookups . There must be just to much money involved to stop the farming or not enough people trying to stop what’s going on . Whatever the case it’s sad to see . Thanks for sharing
Very Nice film !!! I have been fishing with my son also for 6 or 7 years now and its great to share moments like this with our Kids...Jacob is a Lucky Young man to share this with you ... what line are you using..all black ..must be a heavy sinker ...thx
ive heard many times that there was no connection between sea lice from farming, being an impact to the wild fish in rivers. please send article if you have this.. i want to learn more
I couldn't agree more with your comments regarding the total ineptitude of politicians and greed of the salmon farming industry. They are fully aware of the problem but refuse to do anything about it. Same problem in the UK - total corrupt and inept politicians who will not take action in the face of an obvious solution. They will only take action if they have to face up to an avalanche of protest with the prospect of losing votes. "fight for the wild salmon" - keep up the good work!
Hey, Frodin! This video was just awsome! Have you bin to south/west Norway? Maby in the rivers Bjerkreim, Dirdal or Frafjord? If not you should try it out once!
Great video as always. The norwegians biggest open sea farming companies have now INVATED the Icelandic fjords with their greedy fingers.Icelandic politition are doing nothing. Iam sure we will go the same way others have gone regarding open sea farming. THIS MUST BE STOPPED ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Yes we know that! I was in Vestfjords some years back and the police was there waiting for me. Artifishal had its premier in Iceland. We must take the fight! Please write and send all you have to your politicians - they can stop the madness!
This fishfarming has to stop. Not only the salmon farming, the rainbowtrout farming to. Alot of rainbow has started to go up in the rivers with the salmon and seatrout and they eat the eggs from salmon and seatrout. It is not as big of a problem as the salmon farming but it is bad enogh to be a problem. I hope people wake up soon and start to solve this problems.

Yhee Mike! hoping is not enough... we need more people like You taking the fight!
There is no better fish in all the world than the fish you catch with your son or daughter!

Yes seen it and think its quite a shame we have to put nets across free rivers because the sea is full of garbage fish!
Looked like a fun trip . Some really nice water and great hookups . There must be just to much money involved to stop the farming or not enough people trying to stop what’s going on . Whatever the case it’s sad to see . Thanks for sharing
Fish farming industry make a 1 Billion profit/day! ..and yes to few people try... to few even stop eating the garbage!

Fin film gutter

we must build 2m high walls, that pinksalmon[(puckellaxen[(kyttyrälohi)])] cannot jump over, only atlanticsalmon
