Great video, great looking truck! I'm curious, though, I updated to the RES V3 and also did the metal axles and driveshafts from WPL. When I turn my steering all the way to the right or left, the truck starts to clunk along, and for some reason when turning left, the left wheel lift off the ground a bit. Now I moved the steering link up the steering horn to reduce the steering angle, but it still doesn't really fix it, and it leaves me with relatively limited steering. I noticed you've got a nice steering angle, and no issues. I even had this issue right out of the box with the plastic axles and driveshaft. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

I do recall reading some stuff about this problem in the official facebook group. Cant remember the cause or the solution though, If you are on facebook you might find the answer in that group :) I hope you find a fix 👍🏼

I found this in an old post in that group, might help a little: ”Tonight I finally had some time to tinker with the C74! So, many of you know that WPL RC has released the gorgeous Bay Blue C74 for sale on the store and it has lots of great updates that the community has helped address no doubt. Those of you that have a release day C74 like me that may need a little bit of TLC I have another mod that I’ve done that is totally free. Just requires a bit of time and patience and in my particular case- a soldering iron (but you shouldn’t need that!)
So first thing I did previously was install the aluminum knuckles onto the front plastic axle. It definitely improved smoothness in that whole area and in my case helped the axle binding I had too.
Tonight, I worked on the driveshaft issues that WPL has addressed with the new blue version. All you need to do is remove the axles from the rear and front of the vehicle and flip them around. The angle of the driveshafts will basically be reduced from the transfer case. This results in less binding, and smoother power delivery. The only thing you will need to do- (do this at your own risk, but if you know anything about polarity you’ll be fine) is swap the positive and negative pins on the motor tab that goes into the receiver. The motor output has no particular polarity so you will not fry your board- again do this at your own risk, but mine was perfectly fine and I’m willing to bet this is what WPL did as well on their updated C74. The reason for this is by flipping the axles you’re also changing the direction of each of the driveshafts. You’ll still have full power forward and reduced power reverse on your reciever board so not to worry, it all works as it should.”

@@RCManiacs thank you so much for finding this and responding, I really appreciate it. I had to flip the rear axle when I installed them based on the position the stock axles were in, but the front wheels went forward and the rear wheels went in reverse. So I flipped the rear axle to get them moving in the same direction. I'm gonna take a look at the front axle and see about flipping it, and maybe the rear back to the way it was. In any event, thank you very much again.

...nice job you've done.I'm not sure if I understand wright: are the metal axles needed for the 2-speed-gearbox? I'm asking for because I 'm happy with my stock Jimny but considering about the Res-v3.

No, You can use the stock ones :) I just wanted the extra weight, plus a pair of well-built metal axles are smooth af

    Nice build.! 😉 😉 😂
I'm impressed with the suspension articulation considering it's on leaf springs.!
A lot of leaf sprung rigs are too stiff & bouncy.
    Are they stock springs.?
