And I hope he stays dead for that reason. It completely came out of nowhere and was done with a very serious tone, so another "just kidding, he's alive" turn would kill the power of rewatching that scene in hindsight. Plus, he had a Mace Windu height fall with that railcar crashing down on top of him once he eventually did hit the ground.

That was simply one of the best SW finales in any television series so far, THAT is how you do a freaking finale. Writing, direction, voice acting, animation, dark ambiance, this was a PERFECT finale for S2. They better announce S3 at Celebration next week because I don't know how I'm going to go without the Bad Batch again. This was seriously a masterclass in how to conclude a season of a show. This was Andor and Clone Wars level of masterful. Overall, upon reflection Bad Batch S2 gets an A from me, I LOVED this season to death and this ending has changed the course of the show forever and I can't freaking wait for the future.
An detail that I found interesting was that in the Imperial Summit, the former Republic Fleet Admiral did actually seem to respect the clones while the other Imperil officers all look down on them.

I was thinking in my head "oh, this season was mid", but then realized I only disliked 3 episodes this season, with the first 2 being the season pilot (and ep4). So wow, now I finally appreciate the season as a whole. Well, I guess that pilot just put me on such a bad mood for the start of the season. The last 6 episodes were phenomenal, where I had trouble waiting for the next one each week. Hoping for a pilot on the level of the last 6 next season. Exceptional storytelling all around, and I'm so excited for what is to come next season.

@@nickmacias00 the only boring “filler” episodes to me were 1, 2, 4. The other filler did a good job with character development and world building. Like figuring out an accent statue that moves, and basically slavery in a remote area of the galaxy was intriguing. There was filler, but it’s episodes that I’m glad is there. IMO, season 1 had a lot more unwanted filler in there.
Man, Tech was my fave of the squad. I was fully prepared that we'd lose Echo (or at least as best as I could be), but Tech? I definitely thought we'd at least see Tech and Phee's budding relationship develop a bit further. That loss hurt. What a finale.
Now it makes sense that the Bad Batch's scenario-operation for their Plan 99 is referencing when 99 sacrificed himself!!!!! And moreover every time Saw shows up anywhere, he ruins everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If fucking Reva can survive being stabbed in the stomach twice and Maul can live through being cut in half I am allowed to think that Tech could have survived this. Tech has cheated death so many times this season, I just won't believe that they've killed him off without a definitive death scene with a body. He's such a fan favorite (which they've really leaned into in S2) and they've set up his romance with Phee. I think he managed to escape death again but lost his goggles. Phee will probably go looking for him and find him hiding out in a cave with some bad injuries.
Never think that someone is dead in star wars until you see their body, remember Echo, he's been missing for more than 1 season and everyone thought he's dead, all we saw was his helmet. Maybe, maybe, Tech is on that planet, surviving in mountians or forest, hiding from empire and trying to escape that cursed rock... but if he's dead, its all on Saw Gerrera..... just thoughts!

My guess is that the Bad Batch, the pirate woman, Rex and the clone gang will saddle up and rescue Omega. And the Zillo Beast will get free to cause havock inside the Tantis base. You know it will...
Since everyone else seems to be sharing their thoughts on the finale as a whole, I'll just mention my favorite "easter egg" from this episode, that being Orson Krennic and Project: Stardust, as well as the music straight from Rogue One that played at that moment (also, just want to give a shoutout to Ben Mendelson who only said three (3) words as Krennic in this episode lol)
The real tragedy is that Tech dying is only the BEST case scenario. I have no reason to believe Hemlock couldn't retrieve the body. For all we know, we can look forward to the Star Wars version of the Winter Soldier.
Well...there isn't actual scene where they show Tech's dead body. We don't know where he fell, even those glasses Hemlock gives to Hunter seems to be still in very good shape...
Very cool finale. Man right when I saw that officer in the white uniform I knew it was Krennic. So glad to see him and as a Commander. Also, interesting to see that not all Imp officers where down with removing Clones from service, and Helmock emphasizing the cloning programs importance to the Emperor, which means no one there can ever interfere with it. I didn't expect to see Saw in the compound. I expected other rouge Clones to be attacking...It was lame that Tech died, but we knew it was coming. I mean they were building him up, so of course they were taking him out. I wish they would have taken out Cid...Hemlock presenting Tech's glasses to Hunter was just being an asshole, but it shows that he is indeed dead. Cool to see those versions of the AT-ST, and Scorch capturing Omega. Yet, that ending and what we learned, really got me stoked for Season 3.
As soon as that female doctor pronounced Omega's name the same as she does, I was like: "...Wait...No." Because, I can't remember who, but I remember seeing someone actually predict that twist, and I'm still kind of shocked that they were right.
I personally think he might be a live. When doctor Hemlock showed his shattered goggles, I right away thought that they might have his body somewhere safe.
How dare they end the season like that. Tech dead. Hunter, Wrecker, and Echo severely injured. Cid turned them in. Omega and Crosshair are captured. And Emerie Karr is a clone confirmed. I can't take it.
I cried when I saw tech die I wanted him to make it out alive in this season but I guess I have to except that he's gone. but if he returns I will become the hulk

The Omega clone doctor is younger than Omega. Accelerated aging might explain her age. I still think Nala Sey wanted Omega because she's the key to stop the rapid aging of the clones.
I just realized more foreshadowing. Saw told Tech "...sacrifices have to be made for the greater good." This truly was the dark middle chapter of the story. I need Season 3 in my eyeballs right now.
I think the older clone woman Omega was made to see if they could make clones of Omega like they do with Jango but likely there is something wrong with the woman or they would have made more.

Given that Hemlock is known for unorthodox experiments and that the first two phases of dark troopers are hybrid of clones and droids I will be fucking pissed if we see Techs mangled corpse as a phase one dark trooper
Season 3 will be really cool. They can finally dive deep into the Empire. They as well can further explore the experimentation and hopefully tease Snoke. It would be cool if they build a team of Stormtroopers to go against the Batch.
Pain and Suffering may as well have been the names of those two episodes...🥲 RIP Tech and Omega captured to a planet no one knows were it is. Guess that woman is a clone with accelerated grow. Also it really seems like they are preparing the terrain to make the Clone rebellion from the Old Battlefront 2 game canon. Tarkin's officers were already talking about the fear of a insurrection.
I know a lot of people feel like Tech survived, but IDK it feels like cope. He fell a long way and it looked like the tram was right above him. Like I could believe a Force user could survive, but 1 clone? Unlikely. Even IF, and I mean IF, he did survive the fall, he on the surface of Eriadu. Anyone who's read the Tarkin book should know, Eriadu if an Extremely dangerous and unforgiving place. With all that in mind, it's not looking to good for Tech. If he comes back he comes back, but I'm not willing to get my hopes up with so much pointing to the contrary. In my eyes Tech gave his life so the rest could live and I for one salute him.
Even though I pretty much saw most of what happened coming,I did not expect Tech to be the one we would lose, nor did I expect that lab assistant to "reveal " to Omega that she's her "sister". That got me questioning as much as Tech's death hurt.
Omega doesn’t have accelerated aging so it’s possible that shes actually older than the other female clone, omegas name being omega and her and boba being the only two clones without accelerated aging implies that boba is the alpha and they both might be the 1st and 2nd clones ever made making them older than the rest.
I wonder if it's possible (though probably unlikely) that Phee is carrying Tech's child 🤔. (Yes I know, it's a long shot, but a guy can dream, can't he 😕😓🤞🙏.)
It was probably because I already cried myself dry watching Superman and Lois beforehand but I didn't actually cry when Tech died. I primarily felt really numb at first. Tho when things settled down a bit and the characters actually got a moment to let the reality sink in I got a bit teary eyed. Rest in peace Tech. Your sacrifice will not be in vain. And man what a cliffhanger. I remember people kinda making fun of the fact that the scientist sounded very similar to Omega during earlier episodes and now it all makes sense. I love it when a twist is already laid out in front of the audience just in a way you won't immediately connect the dots. Although, in a show where we only really get the same voice actor for several roles, because said roles are clones, we really should've seen that one coming.
Emerie Karr says she is Omega's sister. How though? Is she the fifth enhanced clone that was talked about in season 1; if she _is_ a clone, did she have growth-acceleration like most other Clones (if so, does she age as fast as the others or did hers somehow get halted 🤔); if not a clone, is she Jango Fett's *biological* daughter or sister 🤔😵💫?! (This is getting me a little dizzy 😵💫.)
My theory about what’s going to happen is. By the time the bad batch rescue Omega and Crosshair is when there will be some revelation about Omega and Hamleck will realize they had the key for whatever they needed and she just got away.
I never liked Saw and he's methods but now this made me hate him even more. I blame him for the lost of Tech and that their plan didn't work to save the clones. I was so sad after watching episode 16, we lost more than I expected.
Saw is a fighter but one that exists because of hatred. I look at him like in Avatar the Last Airbender when we first see Jet but if Jet never grew past that first meeting. If he only simmered in his hate and got even more dangerous. Like Saw would blow up a planet himself if he thought it would hurt the empire.

I really don't have AS harsh opinion of Sid as you because did she really have a choice? I know it was shown that she could not be trusted to do anything other than look out for her interest, but Hemlock has also been shown to not have an ounce of care for what it takes to achieve his goal.
My big question is, where are they going with Omega's character? What are they planning to do with her? We still don't know, but if season 3 is greenlit, then we are in for a very interesting place to start a season. Hunter did survive a large fall last season, but I think it would be kinda cheap if Tech survived. I enjoy his character, but I think he is dead.

Not to mention I didn't see any explosions in the upper spire. So basically not only was his own mission a waste of time, he completely screwed over the gang and directly got Tech killed. Bak-half of Bad Batch was a banger... cant feel like we once again wasted so much time on pointless, not paid off episodes and missed opportunities entire frist-half tho. All Crosshair episodes (203 / 212 / 214) were bangers and only ensured my opinion that series could have been entirely about his point of view. Clones were literally bred for combat, to fight for Republic, to follow Orders. Crosshair is affraid to challenge this status quo, doesnt know what would he do otherwise - and seeing him progressively question his own morality is fucking awesome premise for a story. 207/208 2 part was banger and finally did something with 'Batch doesnt know what should they be doing now' problem that should have been the focus since season 1. Cid missions were just excuse to not adress it and put in shit ton of fun, but ultimately shallow filler. 209 is 'perfect filler' I think - ye core story doesnt rly progress forward but a lot of characters were developed more. We learned more about how Batch feels with Echo's departure, and pushed Tech-Omega to another level. and 211 + 213 + 214 + Finale all were core of a main, continuous story which is when this series I think was at it's peak in season 1. Shame cuz a lot of missed chances but *still miles better than season one I think* - this was actually a cohesive narrative with only few boring ones so still props to writing team on this for big step up I think

The first person POV from Omega felt like a COD mission that similar feeling when you’re immersed in a mission is amazing.

He's such a fan favorite (which they've really leaned into in S2) and they've set up his romance with Phee. I think he managed to escape death again but lost his goggles. Phee will probably go looking for him and find him hiding out in a cave with some bad injuries.
Never think that someone is dead in star wars until you see their body, remember Echo, he's been missing for more than 1 season and everyone thought he's dead, all we saw was his helmet. Maybe, maybe, Tech is on that planet, surviving in mountians or forest, hiding from empire and trying to escape that cursed rock... but if he's dead, its all on Saw Gerrera..... just thoughts!
Maybe the real ancient wonder was the Tech we made along the way 😭

Tech’s death absolutely DESTROYED me when I watched the episode this morning. Seriously - I was legit sobbing, and I had tears in my eyes for the rest of the episode.

My guess is that the Bad Batch, the pirate woman, Rex and the clone gang will saddle up and rescue Omega.

Since everyone else seems to be sharing their thoughts on the finale as a whole, I'll just mention my favorite "easter egg" from this episode, that being Orson Krennic and Project: Stardust, as well as the music straight from Rogue One that played at that moment (also, just want to give a shoutout to Ben Mendelson who only said three (3) words as Krennic in this episode lol)
I still hurt 😔😭 and because I watched this before work, I’m sitting here at my desk am just super bummed out.

The real tragedy is that Tech dying is only the BEST case scenario. I have no reason to believe Hemlock couldn't retrieve the body. For all we know, we can look forward to the Star Wars version of the Winter Soldier.
Well...there isn't actual scene where they show Tech's dead body. We don't know where he fell, even those glasses Hemlock gives to Hunter seems to be still in very good shape...

Very cool finale. Man right when I saw that officer in the white uniform I knew it was Krennic. So glad to see him and as a Commander. Also, interesting to see that not all Imp officers where down with removing Clones from service, and Helmock emphasizing the cloning programs importance to the Emperor, which means no one there can ever interfere with it.
I didn't expect to see Saw in the compound. I expected other rouge Clones to be attacking...It was lame that Tech died, but we knew it was coming. I mean they were building him up, so of course they were taking him out. I wish they would have taken out Cid...Hemlock presenting Tech's glasses to Hunter was just being an asshole, but it shows that he is indeed dead.
Cool to see those versions of the AT-ST, and Scorch capturing Omega. Yet, that ending and what we learned, really got me stoked for Season 3.
As soon as that female doctor pronounced Omega's name the same as she does, I was like: "...Wait...No." Because, I can't remember who, but I remember seeing someone actually predict that twist, and I'm still kind of shocked that they were right.
I personally think he might be a live. When doctor Hemlock showed his shattered goggles, I right away thought that they might have his body somewhere safe.
How dare they end the season like that. Tech dead. Hunter, Wrecker, and Echo severely injured. Cid turned them in. Omega and Crosshair are captured. And Emerie Karr is a clone confirmed. I can't take it.
I cried when I saw tech die I wanted him to make it out alive in this season but I guess I have to except that he's gone. but if he returns I will become the hulk
Tech’s death was so unexpected. I was expecting them to die rogue one style, not having them fade out like domino squad.
This is truly one of the best finales. Its up there with Rebels Season 2 and TCW Season 7

The Omega clone doctor is younger than Omega. Accelerated aging might explain her age.
I still think Nala Sey wanted Omega because she's the key to stop the rapid aging of the clones.
I just realized more foreshadowing. Saw told Tech "...sacrifices have to be made for the greater good." This truly was the dark middle chapter of the story. I need Season 3 in my eyeballs right now.

Season 3 will be really cool. They can finally dive deep into the Empire. They as well can further explore the experimentation and hopefully tease Snoke. It would be cool if they build a team of Stormtroopers to go against the Batch.

I know a lot of people feel like Tech survived, but IDK it feels like cope. He fell a long way and it looked like the tram was right above him. Like I could believe a Force user could survive, but 1 clone? Unlikely. Even IF, and I mean IF, he did survive the fall, he on the surface of Eriadu. Anyone who's read the Tarkin book should know, Eriadu if an Extremely dangerous and unforgiving place. With all that in mind, it's not looking to good for Tech. If he comes back he comes back, but I'm not willing to get my hopes up with so much pointing to the contrary. In my eyes Tech gave his life so the rest could live and I for one salute him.

Even though I pretty much saw most of what happened coming,I did not expect Tech to be the one we would lose, nor did I expect that lab assistant to "reveal " to Omega that she's her "sister". That got me questioning as much as Tech's death hurt.
Omega doesn’t have accelerated aging so it’s possible that shes actually older than the other female clone, omegas name being omega and her and boba being the only two clones without accelerated aging implies that boba is the alpha and they both might be the 1st and 2nd clones ever made making them older than the rest.
Cid actually looked *sad* as well as _guilty_ 🤔😓.

Saw is a force like no other
It was probably because I already cried myself dry watching Superman and Lois beforehand but I didn't actually cry when Tech died. I primarily felt really numb at first.
Tho when things settled down a bit and the characters actually got a moment to let the reality sink in I got a bit teary eyed.
Rest in peace Tech. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.
And man what a cliffhanger. I remember people kinda making fun of the fact that the scientist sounded very similar to Omega during earlier episodes and now it all makes sense. I love it when a twist is already laid out in front of the audience just in a way you won't immediately connect the dots.
Although, in a show where we only really get the same voice actor for several roles, because said roles are clones, we really should've seen that one coming.

Is she the fifth enhanced clone that was talked about in season 1; if she _is_ a clone, did she have growth-acceleration like most other Clones (if so, does she age as fast as the others or did hers somehow get halted 🤔); if not a clone, is she Jango Fett's *biological* daughter or sister 🤔😵💫?! (This is getting me a little dizzy 😵💫.)
My theory about what’s going to happen is. By the time the bad batch rescue Omega and Crosshair is when there will be some revelation about Omega and Hamleck will realize they had the key for whatever they needed and she just got away.

I never liked Saw and he's methods but now this made me hate him even more. I blame him for the lost of Tech and that their plan didn't work to save the clones.
I was so sad after watching episode 16, we lost more than I expected.
Saw is a fighter but one that exists because of hatred. I look at him like in Avatar the Last Airbender when we first see Jet but if Jet never grew past that first meeting. If he only simmered in his hate and got even more dangerous. Like Saw would blow up a planet himself if he thought it would hurt the empire.

I really don't have AS harsh opinion of Sid as you because did she really have a choice? I know it was shown that she could not be trusted to do anything other than look out for her interest, but Hemlock has also been shown to not have an ounce of care for what it takes to achieve his goal.

Hunter did survive a large fall last season, but I think it would be kinda cheap if Tech survived. I enjoy his character, but I think he is dead.

Not to mention I didn't see any explosions in the upper spire. So basically not only was his own mission a waste of time, he completely screwed over the gang and directly got Tech killed. Bak-half of Bad Batch was a banger... cant feel like we once again wasted so much time on pointless, not paid off episodes and missed opportunities entire frist-half tho.
All Crosshair episodes (203 / 212 / 214) were bangers and only ensured my opinion that series could have been entirely about his point of view. Clones were literally bred for combat, to fight for Republic, to follow Orders. Crosshair is affraid to challenge this status quo, doesnt know what would he do otherwise - and seeing him progressively question his own morality is fucking awesome premise for a story.
207/208 2 part was banger and finally did something with 'Batch doesnt know what should they be doing now' problem that should have been the focus since season 1. Cid missions were just excuse to not adress it and put in shit ton of fun, but ultimately shallow filler.
209 is 'perfect filler' I think - ye core story doesnt rly progress forward but a lot of characters were developed more. We learned more about how Batch feels with Echo's departure, and pushed Tech-Omega to another level.
and 211 + 213 + 214 + Finale all were core of a main, continuous story which is when this series I think was at it's peak in season 1.
Shame cuz a lot of missed chances but *still miles better than season one I think* - this was actually a cohesive narrative with only few boring ones so still props to writing team on this for big step up I think
Man I can't wait for Season 3(We have to get a Season 3.) Hope it doesn't take 1.5 years again.(This Cliffhanger is far worse than last season ^^)
