@@joshuajohnson1796 Well, I have been thinking about that, and I believe I have a potential answer that would line up with many of the themes and parts of the plot we have seen from the Bad Batch TV series, not to mention some other major pieces of recent Star Wars live-action media, like the 7th episode of Season 3 of the Mandalorian, where the Imperial Warlords and Moffs gathered together.
And that answer is summed up with two important words we got from that meeting of the Imperial Shadow Council:
      Project Necromancer.
Or in other words, the innovative cloning project that Palpatine funded in secret to try to have acceptable enough backup clones of himself that were enough of a healthy and psychological biological match to hold his Dark side spirit, Force-sensitivity, and memories.
It was a tall order, since in both the Legends and Canon continuities it is shown that cloning Force-sensitives is way more complicated, especially if the biology of the template is tainted by Dark Side corruption damaging the health and/or genetic material of the individual in question. And Sidious embodied the physical consequences of Dark Side corruption more than most Sith Lords we have seen.
Now, you may be asking, what does this have to do with Ventress? Well, we know that Palpatine struggled for several decades with this unprecedented cloning project, and even by Episode IX, he was not physically well for most of the movie, despite the best efforts of the cloners from Project Necromancer. In fact, this place was reintroduced into the canon from the original Thrawn trilogy in Bad Batch itself, and it is all but flat-out confirmed in the second season of the show that it played a crucial role in the early stages of Project Necromancer:
Mount Tantiss, a mountain on the planet Weyland, that hosted the Weyland Facility. The Empire relocated its cloning program from Kamino to the Weyland facility at the end of Bad Batch Season 1, establishing it as the headquarters for the secret Advanced Science Division. Medical personnel, including the kidnapped Nala Se, were brought to Mount Tantiss for the cloning effort. More intriguingly, in the Legends continuity, Mount Tantiss was home to Palpatine’s secret storehouses, including thousands of Spaarti Cloning Cillinders that could be used to accelerate the growth of a clone to the point they would become young adults within a year. So, the producers have made the deliberate choice of making the installation related to Imperial cloning technology in both continuities.
But precisely because of this and more, it stands to reason that Palpatine had his team of scientists experiment with cloning other Force-sensitive individuals while they tried to figure out how to get all of this done to the Emperor’s highly demanding standards of satisfaction. More to the point, given the circumstances, using biological samples from Force users who used the Dark Side for a long time, even if they turned from that path eventually, would probably be ideal for their research, given the nature of their overall goal.
Take all of this into account, along with their out-of-universe confirmation that they are not planning to retcon Dark Disciple and for the moment, I believe there is sufficient evidence to believe that the suspiciously no longer bald Ventress we saw in the trailer…
...could, in fact, be a Spaarti-grown clone of Ventress.
As for her obvious skills with a lightsaber we saw in the trailer, well, that could also be explained away in these circumstances by a previous precedent from the Legends continuity of cloning they could plausibly mine as well. Back then, immense efforts were spent by Vader and his team of Kaminoan scientists to produce an acceptable, Force-sensitive clone of Galen Marek/Starkiller, as shown during the events of the Force Unleashed II video game.
Long story short, the Kaminoans developed a “memory flash” technique into the cloning process to help the quickly grown clones of Starkiller “remember” the lightsaber skills and Force abilities of his biological template. Still, while it was admittedly a major innovation in the field of cloning, it was also an imperfect process, though, and most of the clones they tried this on were discarded because they grew mad or at least, they did not meet Vader’s psychological standards when he tested them.
So, I believe there are enough precedents in place and enough will and logic behind Sidious's overall goals with Project Necromancer to consider the possibility that he would task his scientists to develop such cloning techniques through experimentation so that he could eventually have a breakthrough that would allow him to not just body jump into his clones but to do so effectively without easily and quickly burning through their health, as it happened in the Dark Empire comics from the old Expanded Universe.
Now, even if that’s the explanation they will go for, I have no idea where they will take a clone of Ventress in Bad Batch Season 3, especially one that has echoes of her template’s memories that give her some identity crisis issues, even if they also grant her the muscle memory and skills Ventress had. But I feel like if they do go down that route to avoid undermining their efforts to establish a consistent, multi-media continuity, there is a lot of storytelling potential to be found in this situation.
Either way, I am really looking forward to Bad Batch Season 3.

I would love to see "Dark Disciple" return to screen and in general more of this Ventress. At least "Dark Disciple" was turned into a book of the same name.

The deal with Dark Disciple was that, - by the way Omn1Media, BBY is translated as Before the Battle of Yavin IV and the years are categorized as a countdown to Episode 4 of the Original Trilogy -, the Jedi Order was supposed to be guardians of peace and justice but the book had them order an assassination attempt on Count Dooku, which is something they aren’t supposed to do which is why the majority of people hate the book.

Now, the Star Wars Twitter account did put out a message from Exec Producer Brad Rau shortly after dropping the trailer that states “any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.” How that happens without some amount of retconning, I have no idea. @@janekfilipowski9119 Is completely logical, just because you had the permission to write a story you don't get the final say on what happens to that character. The creator will always have the final say. Poeple don't always share the same creative perspectives, while you can interpret a character story this way I can have another interpretation, but in this case the creator of the character had another interpretation, and retcon just a little bit to his vision of his own creation.
Tales of the Jedi, only retcon very little of the Ahsoka book, pretty much almost everything stayed the same, they just didn't show everything on tales of the Jedi.

It is definitely sad that there is only going to be 3 seasons of Bad Batch, but all good things must come to an end at some point. I'm excited to see what becomes of Clone Force 99 at the end of their road... along with what MIGHT happen to Rex before his sequester to Seelos along with Wolf and Gregor. I'm also very excited to see some events, either leading up to or during Dark Disciple. I think it would be AWESOME to see more of Quinlan Vos' story during this time as well and maybe get some nuggets of information as to how he ties to the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and "The Path." The last thing for me would be how Omega's 'sister' clone ties into all of this and how her story ties into the larger narrative of the clones themselves. Either way, I'm just excited to have more Star Wars. :)

I think the harsh reality is for many hardcore Star Wars fans is that most people who watch these shows have 0 interest in the books or comics. Many people don’t actually know of Dark Disciple so having Ventress just be a character to randomly disappear after the Clone Wars won’t make any sense for most viewers. So a potentially loose adaptation of Dark Disciple where Ventress will have actual closure makes sense to do. Again it’s the harsh reality, most people don’t read the books, so many great stories go to waste cause they get thrown into a novel that, while selling well, will never be known by the general audience

The hilt of the lightsaber is different from Dark Disciple and is similar to her old one. We need to check if it's the same hilt.

Mentaly healthy people will just walk away and forget about the things you don't like, because you don't want to interact with that anymore. A lot of poeple need therapy and need to realize that movies/shows are not a big deal and if they don't like something they can stop interacting with the things they don't like.
