I was going to comment, this battery looks like a definate no build quality wise, but at £160 it's a price you have to consider. Appreciate the teardown 👍
@DCGUY what is the problem if they were originally built for another project and rebuilt/repackaged/refactored? My understanding is that if they operate properly and assuming they last the amount of cycles according to their specs then we have a good deal right? I guess this cells grading that we normal people do not get to see whatsoever, does not affects us for this price category
I was personally surprised to see they had re-purposed cells which isn't an issue if they have been matched. So far this battery is not disappointing me as it's in daily use and meeting my needs. As with any battery, only time will tell how well they hold up.
I personally use and like the victron ip22 charger, but it's your budget that matters. NOCO seem to have good feedback from those that use their smart chargers.
