      @@aroyewunolabode3896 Kurt Angle never recieved a single five star rating. Not in the WWE, not in TNA. His highest rated TNA match was 4.5 (v/ Slapnuts) and he had two 4.75's in the WWE (both featuring He Who Shall Not Be Named).
      This isn't a discredit to Angle, he's clearly one of the greatest of all time. It's proof of the heavy bias that Meltzer had against the WWE product for a very, very long time. It took NXT re-creating the "indy style" for him to take the E seriously again.

Personally something I didn't get about him in nxt at the beginning was why was he always asking for tag partners when he could beat anyone himself. I really wanted nxt to give him a story and background about wanting tag partners. Literally something as simple as he admired tag teams of the past and wanted to find the perfect tag partner to create his own tag legacy but he had trouble making friends cause he always beat them up. Eventually team him up with someone like Keith Lee (probably wasn't signed yet) become a dominant team win the championship then feud after they lose the belts and his giant tag partner doesn't let him beat him as easy

    It's a shame that Lars was in reality his own worst enemy. The way they presented him he seemed like a genuine monster who could bulldoze anyone and apparentaly was supposed to have a moment where he attacked Cena on RAW but didn't happen because Lars had a massive anxiety attack backstage and didn't do it. Then all that crap about him from the past popped up and it was downhill from there. That and him just getting hurt all the time. His power was insane I must say, really could have been something. Really is a shame

    Lars Sullivan looked like the kind of monster they'd build up to feed to John Cena in a one-sided feud nobody would remember six months later. And really, that would have been the ideal role for him. It's not fair to him either because he could actually work as limited as his moveset was unlike most of the monsters they did feed to Cena. Pity he was such a piece of shit human being.

    As far as NXT I think sure ig. But it stinks looking back at people in NXT who had a good lot of potential. I liked Lars. I thought he was a good "monster". He could've easily worn the North American championship. But with a lame call up, anxiety attacks, and the fact he done got hit by controversy, that'll kill it. Same thing with Velveteen 😬 this is someone WWE didn't fully capitalize on, in the right moment.

    There was something there and anybody who looks like they can match physicality with the likes of a Brock Lesnar is always worth a shot but he just had too many skeletons in his closet. But knowing WWE, even if he had no issues, they just would have given him some sort of dancing gimmick eventually because that's their go to card with almost every super heavyweight once the invincibility aura wears off. That or an oversized ladies man (like Mark Henry, Viscera or Great Khali) but in the 2020's, that may be considered a bit out of bounds seeing how WWE is past the Diva era now.

  • @jjenk911
    @jjenk911 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I would have made him a midcard monster before putting him in the main event. Give him a dominant IC or US title run - like Gunther's - and then have him smash a world champion. But yeah, his personal issues bit him in the ass.
